Nest this year will be the weekend of May 15th in Philadelphia (where else? LOL)

This will be a longer scheduled event than in the past. There will be activities happening Friday, Saturday and Sunday that weekend. There are just so many people and so much fun that we need to spread it out over the weekend.

Never been to a NEST? It's SUCH a blast! It's basically a party! It's just filled with like-minded people who all enjoy our "sport" called Tickling. People come from all walks of life - Attorneys and Housekeepers, Doctors and Truck Drivers, Teachers and Office workers. We look like everyday people you encounter through your life but we all have that deeply hidden secret! Now we get to share it. Oh, it's scary the first time you go. But when you leave... you'll feel refreshed and fulfilled in knowing you are not alone anymore.

For me... I went to my first NEST alone only knowing everyone from online. Pretty risky for a lady traveling across the country indeed. But I was in good hands - Pun intended! LOL Truthfully, everyone was very respectful and I had the time of my life. Now, I can't WAIT to get back to Phili and hang out with all my friends and meet so many more of you.

Questions are encouraged. Ask away either directly or by posting it here. I know that just about everyone who's ever been to a NEST will be glad to answer and lend a hand. That's just the way they are.

The format to attend will be much the same. People who wish to attend will need to fill out a questionaire, return it and be approved by the hosts. A deposit must be sent and received at least 1 week prior to the event. We'll be setting up a PO box for deposits just like we did last year. All inquiries should be sent directly to me... This is the largest gathering of folks into tickling worldwide. You'll meet a bunch of the folks you've seen post on TMF and you'll leave with some life-long friendships.

kis123, I’ve only been to one NEST. last year. but I’ll tell you how it was for me.

everyone who I had been reading for so long, and thought seemed like good people... were! they picked me up at the airport, took me out to lunch, made me feel welcome beyond what I would have hoped for or expected, and talked amongst themselves like the good friends they are/were, but never, for a second, made me feel like an outsider.

when it came to the actual ‘play’ part... it was completely up to me. as much or as little as made me feel comfy... and when I didn’t play... watching was a trip!

Like RChello said..It's a great place to finally meet people and put faces to online personalities. It was so much fun last year and we were glad that we were finally able to make it. Looking forward to meeting new people and renewing the friendships we have made since being a part of gatherings in general.

As for play, as Ayla said....if you want to you can and if you don't there is a lot of other things to do and observe.

Then there's the simpler truth - where else can you be GUARANTEED to meet several dozen 'lers and 'lees? People who GET what you're into, some of whom WILL know EXACTLY what you felt like, growing up with this interest. Cool folks, too. From the barely-employed to the quietly wealthy, too (no, I ain't sayin' who), you'll meet folks from all walks of life.

Difference is that no one seems to be so asinine as to throw up a big attitude. Nicer, more genial interactions.

Bein' that I'm scruffy, I found the reaction, there, SO warm. Wasn't like MY gatherings, 'cause almost NO ONE there knew who I was. I was just another guy there, into this. Everyone was cool.

Dinners were cool.

Makin' friends was cool.

Playing casually for three days was cool.

Was wicked cool, last time, as it was my soon-to-be wife's and my first holiday together. A fine start to our holidays together, too.

I held gatherings longer than anyone 'cept TickleChgo, likely. Coined the silly term for 'em, even, back on USENET. I can say, without hesitation or doubt, that NEST is the largest, coolest, most fascinating event I ever attended. Max is a cool guy, and the humblest musician and author I've ever met.

And I ain't the most delicate about my opinions, as many can attest.

Jan's got the West Coast represented. A good portion of that core crew's hosts attend NEST, so you West Coast kids lookin' to meet the folks left running it can find them there, likely.

Geez, I could go on and on. NEST is an essential, as close to a required attendance in our interest as any event could be. If we were a faith, it'd be our Mecca. If we were movie-geeks, it'd be Hollywood.

The last few have neared eighty people, if I recollect rightly. It *could* handle a hundred, though, and then it'd hold ANOTHER record. It's already known for play on three floors, the most play in a single building, the most attendees, and ties with the widest attendance.

You've got to see it once. You ought to see it often.

I noticed you are looking for specifics about what goes on at NEST. I don't know if this will help, but the following is a play-by-play account of my first NEST experience two years ago, that I posted in AMT...

This is a rather long post with emphasis on the female ticklers, so all you m/f'ers (heheh) might prefer to skip it. With that said, here's my own NEST experience:

It was a warm Sunday in Philly as I'm driving East on South Street. I was fortunate enough to find a parking space in the 700 block just a few doors down from the Club Kama Sutra, where the festivities were to take place. I was psyched. I was stoked. I was ready to be tickled into oblivion. I was also two hours early.

I killed some time checking out a nearby antiques shop and a store specializing in African artifacts. I also grabbed a turkey burger next door to the Club Kama Sutra, which by the way is a swingers club. Wife-swapping, husband swapping, you guys get the idea....not that I'm into that "weird" stuff, you understand. After my burger I strolled by the club again and saw a woman standing in the now open doorway...a woman I recognized immediately from her TMF picture. I walked right up to her holding my hand out.

"You must be Jan Weaver!" I said to her. "I'm Drew70, and it's a pleasure to meet you!"

"Hi Drew! Glad you could make it!"

Jan is as cheerful in real life as she is online, but she didn't have a lot of time to shoot the breeze, as they were busy preparing the place. I helped carry in some food, drinks, and...oh yeah....a 7-foot X-shaped cross. The Kama Sutra was 3 floors in all, not counting the roof. The X-shaped cross we set up on the 3rd floor right in the middle of a mirrored dance floor. There's a certain irony there, which I'll get into later. There was also a sitting area on the third floor. Part of the floor itself was transparent Plexiglas, through which could be seen the second floor (go figure) where most of the tickling action would take place. The second floor had a lot of rooms with cushions on the floor, and mirrors on the ceiling. I'll let you reach your own conclusions as to what generally goes on there.

The place was filling up fast, and name tags were being distributed. One of the first people I met was Kim (known also as HawkiKim) who I believe is from Iowa. She's says there's not a lot of tickling action out her way, unfortunately. I also met Kraftie and talked to her for a good while. She was very helpful in pointing out people she thought I might know. I met DVNC, Affectionate Dan, Doug Ward, and Max Speer.

After I got my nametag I cruised back up to the third floor where I recognized another face from the TMF pictures. I knew even before I read his nametag that it was RChello. It was a blast talking to him in person about all the shit flying around this newsgroup. Archie was in the company of Pugsley, a lady far more attractive than her name suggests, so I didn't want to monopolize his time. Before too long, I caught site of a woman whose beauty and sexuality took my breath away. She wasn't wearing a nametag but I had a pretty good idea of who she was just the same. I walked up to her.

"Excuse me, aren't you Bella Risa?"

"Yes, I am," she said with a smile.

"Hi, I'm Drew70."

"Oh my god, Drew!!" she said and gave me a hug. We talked for a few minutes about her kids, the trip from Ohio to Philly, and our mutual friend, Anna-Loo.

"Now Bella, you've got first dibs on my ribs, okay?"

"Oh yeah! I was hoping I could do at least SOME topping today!"

"Well, it's a real inconvenience for me, Bella, but hey, for you? Anything!" I said with a wink.

Moments later I was introduced to TTD (Tickled To Death) and his pretty companion, Shygirl. These are two of the coolest people you could ever want to hang out with. I also met a lady from my own area, by the name of Lee. Lee is a member of the DC-based TnF group (Tethers n Feathers) as are Spenser Affleck and his better half, Melinda, both of whom were also present.

Okay, the first tickling I saw was Spenser Affleck tickling the feet of his lovely and charming lady. She was lying on her back with her feet suspended in the air. Spenser was tickling her feet with various implements and getting good results, I might add. I was watching this scene through the transparent floor upstairs.

I wandered down to the second floor where the tickling action was going on. Next to the area where Spenser was making his lady scream with laughter was a larger area floored with cushions. There was a lady lying on her back, restrained, and was being tickled by 2 men. Her name is Ann, and one of the men tickling her was also named Drew. Ann and Drew are known as the Tickling Duo.

Positioned diagonally from Ann, I saw Shygirl in the process of restraining TTD. Being a fan of female ticklers, I plopped my ass down next to them and watched. TTD has a reputation for never being broken, so the women who tickle him do not hold back. Shygirl plunged into him tickling hard and fast. Watching her work him over made me think, "This chick definitely knows what she's doing and has no compunctions about torture. She is wayyy out of my league!" TTD was laughing, yelling, and struggling like crazy, even before Bella Risa crawled over and assisted Shygirl, who seemed to know every nuance of TTD's ticklishness and gave extensive instructions. The two women systematically put TTD through more torture than any man was meant to endure, but he still wouldn't break. He'd catch his breath and goad his attackers, saying things like, "you'll never break me you bitches!" and then they'd go at him even harder. The guy's got guts, no doubt about it.

Suddenly I heard somebody calling my name. It was none other than NJJen. She said it was time. Now, many of you might remember that there was a time where I wasn't very nice to Jen. I had berated her publicly here at AMT as well as putting down the whole BDSM scene in general. Jen and I were no longer at odds but she'd been warning me for the last week or so that she was going to "pay me back" for flaming her at AMT, and now here she was, ready to make good on that threat! Jen, Pete and I quickly found a suitable location in the form of a little room with a fold out cushion-couch. Before long I was cuffed and restrained in a spread-eagle position. Jen sat on my left side and began tickling my left foot. I didn't bother even trying to hold back, so the laughter pored forth. Understand now, that Jen is a tickling sub by nature, very rarely stepping out of that role, according to Pete. But her tickling techniques were most effective. Unlike TTD, I don't have much stamina when it comes to enduring tickle torture, much as I dig the concept. Jen tickled my thighs, ribs and armpits and even my ears. I just can't imagine what motivated her so much. ;)

While I'm laughing like crazy, suddenly Pete came in and introduced Lite, another DC local whom I knew online but had never met in person. Lite was delighted with my predicament and sat down on my right side and began tickling my feet, thighs, ribs, sides, pits...etc. Lite is somewhat of a newcomer to the tickling scene only within the last year or two, but she is an awesome tickler! She's got a great voice which she used extensively to tease me while she and Jen tickled me nonstop. "What's the matter, Drew?.....I thought you wanted to meet me!....Oh, does this tickle?.....Is that a bad thing?" This kind of teasing really adds a lot to the experience of being tickled. It completes the picture, so-to-speak.

Jen and Lite are good friends and it was kind of weird watching them talk like any two females would, about home and family and whatnot, only instead of sipping tea, they were tickling me into a frenzy of laughter and wiggling. Somebody yelled, "POCKETS!!" and then the two of them would reach in my pants pockets, tickling that sensitive area where the legs join the pelvis.

Suddenly I saw something that made me think..."Oh shit, I'm doomed, now!" It was Shygirl. Evidently she was unable to break TTD and was out for blood! Without so much as a word she straddled my right knee and started vigorously raking her nails up and down my right foot. Up until this point, I was barely able to take what Jen and Lite were dishing out, but now I was suddenly catapulted into previously unexplored realms of ticklish agony. I twisted back and forth frantically, yelling and screaming laughter, trying anything to minimize the overwhelming sensation, but it just kept coming and coming.

Just when I thought I would go crazy, they stopped for a moment. Lite had to leave, but somebody else walked in the room with a wicked smile on her face. It was the "Queen Bitch" of tickling herself, Jan Weaver! Now I was REALLY doomed!! Jan has so much experience in tickling that her very touch is like a bolt of lightening. Unfortunately she was called away just when she was getting started.

With Jen still tickling my left side, and Shygirl tickling my right foot, in walked the incredibly sexy Bella Risa. She straddled my waist, sitting down, leaned over close to me and said in the sweetest voice I've ever heard, "Can I play?" She then started tickling my chest, ribs, and my armpits. Like Jan and Shygirl, Bella has plenty of experience torturing ticklish people like me. Her fingertips are deadly, but she also has this technique that really sent me way over the edge into temporary insanity. She made her hands into two fists, and rubbed her knuckles on my chest in a vigorous circular motion. The effect was quite devastating, I assure you. They kept at it, and I was plunged into the depths of tickle torture, beyond any coherent speech, just breathless laughter, with my lungs locked in a permanent exhale, and still they persisted. Finally, I blurted the safe word, having endured far more than I ever in my wildest dreams expected.

Of course, they all stopped immediately. The safe word is a powerful force at these gatherings, and all respect it. Jen and Pete unchained me, and after a moment or two, I was able to struggle to my feet. I was a mess. My hair was everywhere and my shirt looked like I had slept in it for a week. I found a bathroom and pulled myself back together as best I could.

The next noteworthy event I witnessed took place on the third floor at the X-shaped cross I helped carry in earlier. A woman who goes by the nickname of Sunrise Ticklee was bound to this cross in a leaning vertical spread-eagle position. She was tickled by Lee from DC/VA. Lee's name is somewhat ironic because she is 100% 'ler. Lee was doing a good job tickling Sunrise's upper body, but then some very large guy took it upon himself to participate. I'm sure he meant well, but he completely blocked the view of what could have been a great F/F scene. I had to resist a strong urge to tap him on the shoulder and ask him to kindly get the fuck out of the way. :)

After Sunrise went 10 minutes on the X-cross, they got some guy to volunteer. He took off his shirt and then they bound him to the cross with his back facing outward, so he couldn't see his attackers. He was tickled by HawkiKim, QBWeaver, Bella Risa, and later by a red-haired woman whose name escapes me, but her boyfriend told me that she is a total 'ler and came to NEST in hopes of learning some new tickling techniques. I finally got to see Jan in action, and let me tell anybody that might have doubts that Jan does not fuck around when it comes to tickling. She had this poor slob bouncing around so much that three of us guys had to stabilize the cross from the other side. Then Bella did her knuckle dance on his rib-cage which sent him into violent spasms. I swear he looked like he was getting an electric shock treatment. The women who tickled this guy helped reinforce what I've always known to be true....women make the best ticklers, hands down. I'll never be convinced otherwise.

With the afternoon winding on, I cruised back down to the second floor, where I saw Ann being tickled again by the other Drew and another guy. I also noticed that Shygirl was also tickling her, but it seemed to me to be only a half-hearted one-handed attempt, so I spoke up.

"Hey Shygirl, isn't there another set of restraints over there?" I asked, pointing to where she had tickled TTD earlier.

"Uh huh," she said, then suddenly understanding, her face brightened up. "Oh, you want to have another go?"

"Heck yeah!"

So she quickly strapped me down and immediately pounced on my feet. The impression I get about Shygirl is that she is diligent, persistent, and relentless. She never seems to run out of steam when she's tickling. She is perpetual motion personified. Just when my feet started to become accustomed to her touch, she switched to my upper body. I swear her touch is like electricity. She doesn't do a lot of talking while she's tickling, she concentrates on the job at hand, and the area she's working on. Her nails move with just the exact speed and pressure to extract the maximum torture possible, and I was feeling it big time. She was tickling my stomach, chest, sides, and armpits, and I was once again plunged into that seemingly bottomless pit of tickled agony, where time and space lose all meaning.

But after a while Shy was being distracted by some guys tickling her from behind. I was able to catch my breath and take stock of my situation. Because the restraints weren't bolted to the floor but merely run under the large cushion I was lying on, I was able to move my arms to some degree and bring them in to a point where I could grab Shy's wrists. Suddenly poor Shygirl found the tables turned on her, I was holding down against me while TTD and a couple of other guys were tickling her feet and ribs. Her laugh is such that the tickling seems to cause it and hinder it at the same time, so that it comes out in little spasms here and there. Ever the gentleman, I asked her if she was okay, and she nodded so I held her fast. This went on for another 10 minutes or so, until I was exhausted and could no longer hold her wrists. At about that time, they were advising us that our time was up, and everybody had to start preparing to leave the club.

We all said our good-byes and everybody was reluctant for it to be over. Max Speer invited me and a bunch of other people to his place to continue the festivities. It was a most tempting offer, but since I was looking at a 3-hour return trip home I politely declined the offer. After saying good-bye to everyone, I hopped in my car and drove back to my Maryland home with an ear-to-ear grin plastered to my face. :)

I'm originally from Philly and will probably be in the area around that time, as my parents will want some quality time with me after I graduate from college and go off into that real world I keep hearing about...however, I've never gone to NEST before (I've been reading about NEST conferences since before I could legally attend them, and since I've been at school for the past several years, I haven't had an opportunity to attend!). How much is the deposit? Where is the event held in Philly? (I can't imagine what hotel rents out rooms for a bunch of ticklephiles...can you imagine the faces of the guests at the hotel who aren't there for NEST, hearing the hysterical laughing coming from a conference room in the lobby??:p ) Anyhoo, I'm curious...feel free to drop me a PM or anything really relaying info on this!!! I'd love to meet you all there!!! And even though I'm usually a lee, I'm also a rather vicious ler...so look out!!! ;) Thank you!!

I'm not sure if I can attend the NEST this year, being in school and all. But, if not this year, then next year looks very good. Thanks for replying to my curiosity.

I've been a ticklee all my life but never allowed myself to be restrained until just a couple of years ago, so I know all about such hesitation. On the other hand, if you prefer to dish it out, I can think of at least two willing victims. :D But play aside, you'll have an awesome time just observing the activities and talking to people face to face who share your interest in tickling.

One thing I can tell you is that NEST is very well managed. The number one rule is that nobody gets tickled unless they want it. And nobody assumes you want it unless you clearly say so. If you're being tickled and suddenly decide you want out, just say (or scream) the safeword, they'll stop immediately and let you out if you so desire. There are "dungeon monitors" present who make sure this prime directive gets upheld. In the two NESTs to which I've been privileged to attend, I've never seen any incidents. It's just real people having real fun.

I'm not sure if I can attend the NEST this year, being in school and all. But, if not this year, then next year looks very good. Thanks for replying to my curiosity. My pleasure. I hope to see you there, if not this year than perhaps next. :)

I'm finalizing all the paperwork now and will be sending out questionaires and info packets later this week.

Afraid of what might happen? Rest assured that no one is EVER forced into anything. Everyone is VERY respectful. As an example, I went to my first NEST by myself knowing not a soul in real life. I only knew them online. I was treated as a Lady the entire time. And I've not missed a NEST since then! It's even better now because I know all the folks now.

Definitely sounds like a lot of fun, yet also not too intimidating for a newbie such as myself who has never been tied down. I tentatively say count me in, but I think this occurs 1 day after my last final, so I am only assuming that I will be available.

Just an observation from a long-time host, sir - No one will long survive pressuring you to be tied, or to play. QB will see to that, promptly, and there are many very large individuals to assist. You're pressure-free.

Heck, the only pressure is to behave.

If you mention WANTING to try it, count on many encouraging you, though. Keep in mind that this is a safety-encouraging group. If you can remember to say "SAFEWORD" you'll be out of bondage and safe before you can change your mind.

They're good folks, there. You're in for a great time, if you can make it. I *HIGHLY* encourage you to attend. There's no larger event for our kind, and it's pretty spectacular when you look around, on three floors of a building, FULL of us.

I'm so glad so many of the folks I know to know this scene are going to be there. Means another great NEST, and play galore, before and after.

Folks, NEST is about more than a mere day of unbelievable delight. Find the folks you've wanted to meet, and arrange to do so. There's friends t'be had there. Good ones, too. It's some of the most fun one can legally achieve!

Feelin' almost sorry for poor Jan. Mike 'n' Danimal gonna make a snack outta you, darlin'. ;)

Someone's gotta take notes on Andy's unbelievable luck in tickling every exposed foot in his path. It's truly stunning to observe. I'm sure I'd be killed, outright, for at least HALF of those ticklings!

It's 2.5 weeks and Counting for NEST!

If you haven't returned your questionnaires... get them to me right away. I also need to have deposits back by May 8th so I have time to process them before I catch the big bird to Phili and between moving runs to my new house. I'm flying out a few days early to get things set up so please email me asap. We also have folks on a waiting list who want to attend so if for any reason you can't make it please let me know right away so I can let some other folks come.

I'm picking up deposits on the way home tonight and will be emailing you to let you know I've got them. I've sent out motel info to lots of you and I'll be sending out the motel info for those of you who send in your deposit.

It's down to the wire and getting pretty exciting. There are lots of folks coming back for their 2nd, 3rd, even 11th NEST. There are also lots of new friends we haven't met yet.

Just a quick note to post my many thanks for the warm
and wonderful hospitality shown me by the other
NESTers this past weekend! As you may know, safety is
a big issue for me and at no time did I ever feel that
I was in an unsafe situation [hint to other
newbies/lurkers who have thought of coming but have
had concerns...].

Now, just to let everyone know - I do enjoy and prefer
to be 'lee! And I know there are some people who want
"payback". I in turn want to go to subspace - been
there once in a non-tkl situation, and I wanna go
back. Bring it on, and I'll see ya next year (if not
sooner)!
