The last story I posted concerning characters from the cartoon "Daria," someone suggested Jane Lane get the feather next.
Here's the first part:
STARRING JANE LANE
"Daria, tickle my foot."
"Excuse me?" said Daria.
Daria was sitting at the table in the Boston apartment she shared with Jane, reading a book for her Literature class. Jane had been working on a painting, but was now sitting on their sofa, her bare foot extended.
"Come here and tickle my foot."
"Jane, have you lost your mind?"
"C'mon, Daria. Just humor me."
"Jane, this is weird."
"Just do it, Daria."
Daria reluctantly got up, walked over to Jane, and extended her finger toward Jane's foot. Jane grimaced as Daria was about to touch her.
"Are you sure you want me to do this?" said Daria.
"Yeah, I'm sure," said Jane, her voice tight.
Daria ran her finger lightly over Jane's sole.
"YAHAHAHAAAA!!" screamed Jane, almost tipping the sofa over.
"OK, you're ticklish," said Daria. "Is that what you wanted to know?"
"Sort of," said Jane. Jane pulled off her sweatshirt, revealing a sports bra.
"Now my belly button," said Jane.
"Jane, you're being really weird," said Daria.
"Daria, just do it."
Daria poked her finger into Jane's navel.
"YAAAAA!! AHAHAAA!!" screamed Jane, this time pulling back so hard the sofa fell over.
"Are you OK?" asked Daria.
"Yeah, I'm OK," said Jane, panting and picking herself up. "Now stand behind me and do my armpits."
"Jane, no. This is enough."
"Daria, please. I'm doing this for a reason."
Jane was now standing up, her arms raised. Daria cautiously poked her fingers into Jane's armpits.
"YEEEEEHEEEHEE!!" screamed Jane, collapsing on the floor.
"OK, you're ticklish in a lot of places. Really ticklish. More than Quinn, even."
Jane took a few seconds to catch her breath then stood up.
"You used to tickle her when you two were little, right?"
"Yeah, I did," smiled Daria.
"Could you tickle me?"
"Jane, I just did. Now can I go back to my reading?"
"No, Daria, I mean tickle me for real."
"Jane, would you please tell me what this is about?"
Jane sighed.
"Well, I've been a little short of money recently, and , well, I've sort of found a way to make some extra money."
"They pay people for being ticklish?" said Daria, skeptically.
"Uh, yeah," said Jane reluctantly. "That is, they do if they appear in tickle videos."
"Tickle videos?" said Daria.
"Yeah, people buy videos to watch people get tickled. It pays pretty well."
"How well?"
Jane told her.
"Yeah, you could buy some paint with that. But you can't handle being tickled. I just saw you."
"Well, I wouldn't have much choice. I'll be tied up."
"This is a bondage video? Jane, are you sure about this?" said Daria.
"Really sure," said Jane, thought she sounded to Daria like she was forcing the words out. "And I'd like you to do the tickling."
"Jane, I don't want to be in some bondage video."
"C'mon, Daria, either you do it or the video producer does it himself. I'd rather you did it."
Daria sighed.
"Let me think about it, Jane," said Daria, looking uncomfortable.
