YEAH!!!!

Big Bon Scott fan! He sang so many good songs with Ac-Dc that aren't too well known.

Like:

"Overdose" from Let There be Rock
"Down Payment Blues" from Powerage
"Squealer" from Dirty Deeds..
"Live Wire" from High Voltage

Also the concert movie Let There Be Rock is SO awesome! Really great Bon concert and interview footage. Saw it 3 times when it got released into movie theaters in 1982.

Yes! There we go:D Are you familiar with some of the obscure in the USA Bon Scott tracks? Like belive it or not there is a ballad called "Love Song" on the Australian pressing of "High Voltage" which was a totaly different LP than what we got. Its basicly the full album for "74 Jailbreak". Also..belive it or not..sometimes when I used to spin disco at this club..if I was feeling in a risque mood id work "Squealer" into the mix and..people would get pissed as it raged onto the great Angus guitar work but hey...I was laughin LOL LOL

Never had the import version of "High Voltage", although I remember the cover with the little dog peeing on the transformer. I did have the Aussie version of (I think) "TNT" with their take of Chuck Berry's "School Days".

whenever i listen to classic metal, its AC/DC only.

highway to hell; dirty deeds; and the brian johnson era too.

i just bought a live DVD of them - i can't remember where they were playing.

their concerts are great - when the encores come, and the bell drops from the ceiling; and then the canons.

Yes the dog peeing on the transformer is the one I was talkin bout:D And TNT was the aussie version of our "High Voltage" with the extra bonus plus "Rocker" which we didnt see till "Dirty Deeds". The aussie "Dirty Deeds" has a nice blues track called "Rock In Peace" on it which was replaced by "Rocker" on ours. Do you know if these aussie versions are avalible on CD? All I have is the vinyls for the aussie High Voltage & TNT and always wanted them on disc.

I believe there's an import box set out with all the Bon Scott cds including the Aussie records. It's kinda pricy as well.

The only Bon box I knew of was "Bonfire" which was a domestic release. I'll have a look round though for an import with the stuff:D

Yes, funny you should ask! Bon Scott was great. AC/DC, with Bon Scott, had just hit the peak of their popularity when he died. I never cared much for Brian Johnson's singing style, but they say that Bon Scott actually picked his replacement. Supposedly, Bon heard Johnson singing in a nightclub and was impressed.

There were actually at least five import albums, some of which had songs not released in the U.S., and a couple haven't been released to this day. The ones that come to mind are "Love Song" and "School Daze." Jailbreak was a collection of the songs previously unreleased in the U.S. songs.

I still have the cassettes of the five imports. The one with the dog peeing on the transformer was the orginal "High Voltage" release. The "Dirty Deeds..." album had actually been around for awhile before it was released in the U.S. I was the only kid on the block who had it before it was available to everyone else.

The CDs of their import releases are available, and I see them around from time to time. Bon sang in a band called "The Valentines" before AC/DC. Too bad he had to check out so young. :(

Along with The Valentines(who were very pop-sounding), Bon also sang in an early 70s band called Fraternity. This was more of a bluesy group along the lines of Humble Pie or Savoy Brown. Use to own a cd featuring both groups many years ago, but I think it can still be found by checking the more obscure record stores and websites.

I hear you. That and also "Dirty Deeds", "Money Talks" and "You Shook Me" are great songs to work out to. When I hear those songs, I load it up.

Found the Aussie CD imports of all the unavalible in the US stuff:D There was some stuff I didnt even know of..other than the '74 "High Voltage", "TNT" and "Dirty Deeds" LPs...the Aussie release of "Let There Be Rock" has a different cover and one other track called "Crapsody In Blue" which was replaced by "Problem Child" on the US one. Also I noticed that we have a Bon song the Aussies dont which is "Love At First Feel" on our "Dirty Deeds" LP. Oh well..here goes more cash I dont have to spend thats gonna be spent:D
