Theres a feature on AIM that lets you "change" your name by changing capitlization and spacing, but you essentially would have to keep the same ID, maybe this would work instead?

Each forum name is unique.
I will never enable a feature that will allow users to skip out on the actions they take on fellow members. This would be one that would.
We all saw how wonderfullyy the ability to change names at will worked out in our first chatroom. It was abused to the point where the room became unusable by the 'good' people who just wished to have fun, and not be insulted, harrased and threatened. I have no desire to allow the entire forum to suffer that.
This is a non starter. My mind will not be changed upon it.

I have to agree with Myriads on this one. If anyone remembers the old room, the harrassment, flames, and horrid names inflicted on serious chatters trying to use the TMF chat for good purpose, made things horribly unpleasant. Even if they were not attacking a particular individual, they would just come in and say the most anti-social things, disrupting the room, and making it an unpleasant place to be. Myriads way of having a secure password room, makes it so that the people who want to be here for good purposes, contribute positively, and have a good time, do not have to be infiltrated by the type of things that use to go on in the old room. Having been a member of TMF since the old room, I have to agree with him 100% on this, and completely understand his point of why he doesnt want to do what was suggested. Having the secure room protects us from that unpleasant garbage that went on in the old chat, and makes the TMF a nicer place for the chatters, and more condusive to run for the mods, who wont have to put up with flamers every 5 seconds, who wish to do nothing but cause trouble, and disrupt what is supposed to be a place for intelligent and fun discussion for its chatters and members.
