Sunday afternoon shortly before the road trip
back home to Kentucky...

[sorta] "on topic" <g>... One place we visited during
Donna's trip to Michigan were Hidden Lake Gardens...
In the Temperate climate greenhouse [one of three]
we came across a plant called "The Sensitive Plant"
(from the memosa family)... The descriptive card that
was attached to it said plant was profoundly sensitive
and reactive to human touch that will actually flinch,
retract its leaves + curl up in a ball to "protect" itself
from further stimulus (much as ticklish people react).
Being the freaky perverted ticklephiles we are, LOLOL
we proceeded to "tickle" the hell out this poor plant
heh heh heh... Pretty cute scene...

BOB!!! You forgot Jami and Tracy! *waving* And the Laugher
called and talked to us on the phone while I was there. Pay
attention! LOL! As usual, Bob gave himself a bit less credit
than he deserves here. Yes..... I revisited some of the places I
used to know and love when I was a kid and lived in Michigan for
6 years, but my main purpose in taking the trip in the first
place was ESPECIALLY to see Bob!
Before anyone asks.....our time spent together was NOT as two
ticklephiles hot to tickle and/or be tickled. It was as two very
close friends who wanted to finally get together and get to know
one another beyond various forms of "electronic communication".
The only tickling involved at all was at one point when Bob.....
being the smart@$$ that he can be at times.....came off with a
snotty little remark to me and got a poke in the ribs for his
trouble. I guess it's a good thing that's all that was involved
because the poor man damn near went through the wall just from
that one poke! I mighta gotten hurt if I'd gone for more than
that! ROFLMAO!
Being the Mom of a special needs child can get to be a bit
overwhelming at times, so taking a rare break isn't just an
"option"..... it's a necessity. So my nephew (who is also my best
friend) and I plan a "road trip" for a few days every year to
help me get my mind back into the "real world". While we were
still in the planning/saving up phase of our trip in the early
part of the year, I asked my nephew if he would have a problem
with us travelling up to meet Bob this year. When he assured me
he didn't have a problem at all with it, I finished off by saying,
"He's important to me". Without missing a beat my nephew replied,
"Oh I KNOW he is!". Even though they don't know exactly how Bob
and I met (through the various TK forums), my nephew as well as
the rest of my family have heard me talking about Bob so much over
the years that they almost feel like they know him too. :c)
I won't go into a long, sappy description here, but I WILL say
that Bob is just as wonderful and generous in "real life" as he
comes across on screen. I've never met a kinder, gentler soul in
my life! The hugs I got while I was there (and I made damn sure to
get plenty of them!) meant more to me than anything else we did
while there. And getting to share places that I remembered and
loved from my childhood with him AND my nephew made those places
even more special to me. :c) Even my nephew (who is a "flaming
hetero" in his words LOL!) said that we will DEFINITELY have to
go back! He was just as impressed with Bob as I was, and said he
was glad I had such a wonderful friend in my life. :c)
OK... I'll stop gushing now. LOL! I'm soooooooo glad I got the
opportunity to make this trip! Thanks for all the good times Bob!
The wonderful memories will tide me through for quite a while. :c)
