Has anyone else here ever had it happen? You're downloading a video clip, you wait patiently for it to download, and then you get this "Clip Not Found" message from RealOne Player. So all the time you waited to see the clip is wasted. Well, I've seen this message a couple of times, most recently attached to a 16M clip. So I'd be happy if someone here has experienced this and has any ideas why it happens/what to do.

Same problem here... unfortunately you have to upgrade in order to get it to work. I don't have the cash at the moment to waste.
I use my DVD software to open up clips that RealOne Player can't do for now.

Hmmmm, sounds like RealOne is doing the download for you, then losing the clip.
Any reason you can't right-click the link then do a 'save target as' ?? (outside of RealOne).
Doing it that way puts the clip on your hard drive, then you can mess with it at your leisure without having to download it again.
Another thought: after getting the 'lost clip' message, look in your browser's temp file, the clip might be in there, then you can copy it to your 'downloads' file.

Gila, try to change the suffix .ram in .rm; then try to download a clip using the "save as" command, then put it somewhere on the hd and launch it
For me it work well with the realone basic, anyway try to see via the realplayer if there where some updates (go in the realone menu, there's an option called "search for update"; maybe you haven't the last release of the realone player
good luck

I'm having a similar problem with the last Jil clip on the German site, unfortunatley I can't seem to change the suffix, and I am saving it to my hard drive (I'm able to open it and watch it, just not save it).

I currently use RealPlayer 10 and have not experienced this problem at all. I always get the clip to download no matter what the extension (.rm, .ram, .ra).
when i try to open the Jill clip i always get a error reading :( anyone know how to fix that ?

Thanks to all of you who replied. I've been trying various ways to fix this problem, but have no success yet.
Ordinarily, I would use the "save target as" command to put the clips on my hard drive, but for some reason the command is greyed out in Explorer and nobody I've asked seems to know why. So what I have is a browser problem in addition to the RealOne Player deal. Maybe changing browsers would be an answer?
As far as looking in temp files, I had little luck with that - what I found there were mainly shortcuts to the clips' source, not the clips themselves.

TKpervert,
I visited this thread about a day ago, and swear that I read a response by you to my last posting - now it's not showing up. Was it somehow deleted?
Anyway, the reason I am suspecting a browser(or ISP) problem is that it isn't just one clip that I can't use "Save Target As" on; it's every clip I've tried right-clicking on - that includes non-tickling video clips as well. I guess this is now an issue to take up with my ISP.

Hi gila67.
Yeah, I deleted that post yesterday after I decided I didn't have a clear picture of the problem you were having. I don't know that much about the various players anyway, and just feel lucky whenever I get them to work right. They've all been working great lately though * crosses fingers *.
Your latest problem is really strange. I'm pretty sure your ISP won't able to help as they're just a 'pipeline' to the internet.
I DO know that the link you 'right click and save as' must be set up correctly on the sending server to respond properly with a clip, otherwise you end up with some html stuff or other off-the-wall garbage in your download folder.
Are you getting any error messages from your browser ?
