Overheard tickle talk...

So I'm out at the local "Bath & Body Works" buying a mothers day present and the stereo-typical young female sales person there comes over to bother, er, ask me if I need any help.

Now, I remember awhile back a guy who actually used that openning to tickle a young lady's foot while finding out how well the lotion socks work...but I chose to simply decline and go about my way.

I looked over all the products...a fabulous display of foot pampering stuff there...settled on my choice and went to wait in line to pay.

From behind I hear afore mentioned saleswoman chatting with another customer. The customer, a female, commented on the girls french pedicured toes. For the next 5 minutes the conversation went like this:

"I do my own pedicures"

"can't you stand someone else?"

"No, well, the files and stuff drive me crazy"

"What about the rubbing?"

"Oh I can handle having them rubbed, but the files and rough stuff is too much"

"I'm the same way"

"Yeah the files and grinding just make me loose it"

"I agree. I just can't take it"

"So I take care of myself unless I can get a good rub too"

"And the rubbing doesn't bother you?"

"not really"

"because I'm very ticklish"

"oh me too"

Mutual laughter.



Soooo....our hero casually turns around and sees the customer wander up and stand behind me in line. She looked perfectly normal...lol. (That was one of those time I wish I had a TMF badge to compare with someone else!!)

I briefly considered giving the salesgirl a quick rib poke and telling her I heard she was ticklish so I had to check it out for myself...but I passed and just smiled and thanked my good fortune and having been there right then.

Great story Toyou...this kind of stuff always drives me nuts.

A slight side track...
I was at the mall this past weekend and this mother was with her two kids at the water fontane eating some ice cream and resting.
Well the kids had finish and mom was just kind of in la la land when the older of the kids, a boy maybe 10, stuck a finger in his mom's sandal right under her arch and she let out such a laugh/yelp/scream...great laugh and she got really red from embarrasment...
Well after a quick "Scolding" of you know I can't stand to be tickled...our evil tickler gets his younger sister involved...
Mom has recrossed her legs and is doing the leg bob thing and the boy grabs her ankle under his arm, flips off the sandal and tells his sister to "Get her good this time"...and little sis, oh 8, just goes right for the arch of said mom who just goes balistic, I mean crazy laughter, and she is a paralized ticklee...she just shook, laughed and took it...her foot stretched out and just laughed her fool head off. The boy and girl tickled her for geez, 5 minutes or more.

After the mom recovered she hollered at both of them, "You are worse than your father" and grabbed em' both and she hurried them out of there.

I was just beside myself and others couldn't help but notice!

Ah, that's a great topic to happen upon. An exceptionally cute coworker and I were talking not long ago, and she mentioned how at a recent Cubs game she got beer spilled on her feet and had to spend a long time scrubbing them clean. I made a face like it would be painful, but she said, "No no, it's not that, just that it tickled so much!' She sort of mimed the action while simulating the cringing smiles as she tried not to drive herself crazy.

That lead to a discussion of how the same thing happens at pedicures, as she described how it's murder to sit still and try to remain composed. Her friend (also highly cute) agreed wholeheartedly.

I politely smiled and nodded, while assigning my best mental stenographer to log every word in the archives for future use
