I thank God that He has given us such a wonderful example to follow through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. That He would send us His only son to die for our sins, that we may share in this true hope of life in the Kingdom to come with Christ as our true King. We have a lot to be thankful for indeed.

I thank God for the daily blessings He bestows on me and mine each day. We always have food on the table, clothes on our backs, and a roof over our heads.
Even through hard times the Lord provides, and we do not go without.
I thank the Lord for giving me free will. I thank the Lord for setting an example, through Jesus, that I might follow where I otherwise might be lost, confounded, spiteful, bitter, resentful, or indifferent toward Him, His works, and His people.
God bless us all. Amen.

It's been a tough couple of years since my Dad passed, but for every turn that could have gone terribly wrong, I believe God was there to take my hand. When I couldn't find his life insurance policy, was it magic that I took a chance on a search engine, found the carrier, and claimed it? When my roof was leaking badly, was it coincedence that major storms passed over us? I pray every night of my life, for others, for my family, and for myself. I have never underestimated the power of prayer, and I thank God, and praise His name, for being there when I need Him.

I praise You, Lord, for getting my mom through her chemo with little ill effect. I praise You for being so good to me in my life and keeping to Your word of bringing all things to good. I praise You for being more merciful than I am. I praise You just because You're worthy of my praise.

Amen, my brother and sister. :)
I thank God for keeping me out of trouble and steering me clear of bad people and bad experiences all my life, from the past to the present day. I thank God for putting good people in my path.
I thank God for giving me a strong character and will, so as to oppose the atrocities spoken again Him and His, and to further cement my uncalulable belief in not only Him, but in His love and truely indefinite and unfathomable mercy.
I thank God for giving me a strong sense of right and wrong. I thank Him for bestowing on me and everyone a human conscience. I thank Him for giving me the strength to continue my life even when it may feel it's not worth it.
I thank God for a loving mother and father. I thank God for pardoning my deceased father and including Him amongst the chosen dispite how he lived his life and how he ended it.
I thank God for forgiving me of all my sins. I thank God for unlightening my load in times of stress and tribulation.

I have received too many blessings to name them all. I guess the biggest, the one for which I'm most thankfull is the gift of faith.
For my faith and for all the other blessings given to me, thank you, Lord.

May today there be peace within.
May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be....
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you....
May you be content knowing you are a child of God....
Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of you....

Well, I'm a Shintoist, and I know there are obvious differences, but I think my beliefs and your God are somewhat similar, so I have no problem, what so ever, praising him.
Thank you Lord for delivering my family to a safer city, for making me easily amused, and for starting that date last night by making that delicious little red head saying her name on her cell phone, you got me out of a jam. Oh yeah, thank you for that crimson haired beauty, and for delivering me to this community.

God, via a species of creatures that he created weak and flawed, aborted his own son on earth for his own self-glory. And he got his kid back, ultimately, not that big a sacrafice when God's a powerful magician who can do ANYTHING. Someone near me goes, no matter how good they were, they are GONE. Try as I might, I haven't been able to create new people becuase I was "lonely". I guess, then, my exsistance shows one can believe without praising......

Thank you Lord for another day. I could have died last night, or in my sleep, never to have awoken. But no Lord, you meant for me to live another day. Thank you for that.
Thank you for my health, my voice, my eyesight, and all my senses. They are truely a wonder and a gift, and we often take them for granted. Truely, a blind man may see and a deaf man may hear. For they have faith in You. May those that have all of their capacities be filled with a sense of You and Your love. May the spiritually blind see and the spiritually deaf hear. For there is truely no greater love or wisdom than Yours.
Thank you, My Lord and my God for peace and tranquility amidst current events, the economy and the other factors of life which make it discouraging, hard, and sometimes even hopeless.
It is said, he who has God has everything. I honestly believe that Lord, and I have come to know it. It took not to be taught, it took not follow proceedure, it took faith.
Thank you Lord, for my faith.

I thank God for not only forgiving my sins, but allowing me to see the error of my ways. In seeing what I have done wrong I can try to make it better.
I thank God for family and friends. Without their support my efforts in this life wouldn't be as fulfilling.
I thank God for always opening up doors of opportunity for me so long as I am willing to search for them. Oh, Lord, you turn not away from me, and you always guide me. When I feel lost and alone, rest assured you are there to comfort me.
Dear Lord, remove the obsticles, clear the path, open the doors, and touch the hearts. For those that are having difficulty with finding work, holding down a job, struggling with bills and debts, and all of the contructs by which we live, may those that call upon you be answered in one way or another.
Dear Lord, I thank you for prayer. Prayer is the language of the heart to you. Prayer is also our sword, and faith a shield. Without these things we would be helpless. Thank you for not only protecting us, but giving us the tools to protect ourselves.
Without prayer we cannot hear you. May those whose prayer is weakend and abandoned be refilled with the energy your people know all too well. May they feel what we feel, and may they be restored.
Amen.

Lets not let this thread die. I've seen many a time such threads drop down the list, then the second page, and then off our minds.
If no one else is going to have a vested interest in this thread, then I will. I'll do my best to keep it alive and updated. I would hope anyone serious and not ashamed of singing the praises the Lord would do the same.
God should be everywhere, even here.

Oh Lord, give me the patience to tolerate insult. For you oh Lord were insulted to the highest degree possible. A crown of thorns pierced your flesh, whips tore at your backside, spit and bile were you bath, and laughing insults and evil intentions were your food. They mocked you oh lord, "if you are the son of God, come down from there! hahaha!", but no Lord, you stayed. You stayed up there on that cross and you died, you died for me, you died for everyone, even those that don't even believe you exist as Lord and God of the universe.
You overcame sin. Sin you knew well, though you did not ever dabble in it. Yours ways were straight and narrow. Dispised you were, hated to the fullest degree. Many a curse was put upon you, and your disciples were hunted down.
Let the Judas's and doubting Thomas's of this world come to know you better. May they be filled not with questions and riddles, rebuke and reproach, but may they be ingulfed by the power of your love and may eyes be opened.
Oh Lord, I lift up my burdens to you, knowing all too well how you alieviate me of them and restore me a new.
Thank you Lord, amen.

A NOTE FROM THE MOD SQUAD: THIS THREAD HAS BEEN STRIPPED DOWN TO REFLECT ITS ORIGINAL INTENT, WHICH WAS ONE OF PRAYER. I HAVE EXCLUDED ALL DEBATE AND MOVED IT TO A NEW THREAD ENTITLED THE PTL DEBATE THREAD (http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44540) . YOU MAY NOTICE THAT THERE ARE SOME COMMENTS REMAINING THAT SEEM TO YELL AT GOD. I HAVEN'T MISSED THEM. I LEFT THEM BECAUSE THAT TOO IS A FORM OF PRAYER...INTENDED OR OTHERWISE. GOD EXISTS AS MANY THINGS TO MANY PEOPLE. WE DO HONOR TO HIM BY BEING TOLLERANT OF THOSE WHO SEEK HIM AND SIMPLY SEE HIM IN A DIFFERENT WAY THAN WE DO. LET US PRAISE HIM NOT ONLY IN OUR WORDS BUT IN OUR ACTIONS.
ALL FURTHER OFF TOPIC COMMENT/DEBATE WILL SIMPLY BE DELETED. SO, IF YOU WISH YOUR POSTS TO REMAIN, KEEP THEM ON TOPIC OR IN THE APPROPRIATE THREAD.
THANK-YOU! ;)

I praise the Lord for my girlfriend. A sweet, compassionate and caring individual, a servant of yours is she. You have blessed me Lord with a woman of physical beauty and of intellegence. The very sight of her, even in a picture, brings me great joy. She has a kind heart, and she loves me like no one else on this planet can and vice versa. Her love is unique, like that of a mother or father.
Oh Lord, you know that this is a long distance relationship and both her and I want to be together, but our futures and career choices might drive us apart. I ask you oh Lord for comfort in this difficult relationship and that if it be your will, the relationship remains and only grows stronger.
Thank you for the gift of love and compassion. They know no bounds and trancend all barriers.

I thank you oh Lord for my mother. She did right by me, and raised me on her own, with or without my father. She knew and lived the struggles of a single parent earning a single income. She labored and still does to make her way. She's a strong woman who never gives up and makes and earns her own way in this world.
Today Lord, is her birthday. You know that. I ask you, today, especially today, to bless her with all the blessing she not only deserves but may need. Heal her of any physical ailments that may affict her that I do not know about. And ease the pain of the ones I do know about it. Take away her stress and anxiety, Lord. She is a servant of yours. She is so experienced and experiences you on a level I have yet to. To me she's wise and venerable, yet wordly and simple.
Her connection with you Lord is so strong that it puts to shame my own connection to you. While this is not a competition, and we each experience You at different levels as we grow in our faith and love for you, help me, through her example, come closer to you.
Satan torments my family. He always has Lord. He hates us and has tried countless times to destroy us and bring us to ruin in one way or another. But YOU have always been there for us, and no matter what happened we were safe, we were protected and we were lead the way. You sheltered, clothed and fed us. The little money that was made somehow didn't slip our fingers, and its as if it multipied and we recieved our worldly needs in abundance.
Oh Lord, you have proven to me many times, more than I can count, just how merciful and loving you are. You have performed many miracles for us both out of pure love for us, and I'm sure in part because of my mother's unshakable faith in you.
Thank you for giving my mother another year of life Lord. Thank you for the gift of a loving mother. Thank you for showing me what it is to love you and serve you, an walk your path.
God bless my mother. Amen.

Thank you Lord, first and foremost, for the gift of your son, who built the bridge between God and mankind, so that we might one day reign together in peace.
Thanks for my parents, who stood by me and encouraged and allowed me to be myself. The older I get, the more precious that becomes.
Thanks for bringing my best friend Sarah into my life and getting her on the right medication. I thank you for her Lord.
Thanks for the TMF and allowing me to love tickling. It's made my life a lot easier, Lord. Thanks for revealing this to me. I have made many friends on this forum and I pray that they are all well.
Thanks for bringing me Brad_the_baron who has proven himself to be a great friend and a beacon in the storm
Thanks for bringing me Knox the Hatter. I pray that his workdays will be smooth and his evenings be harmonious.
Thanks for my friend leafstk. He is a devout follower of you Lord. Lord, you know how I feel about this man. You also know that we live far apart. Only you can bring us together if it's your will. In the meantime, I pray that his life be filled with all the riches you can give him and all the peace that you can employ. I love him as a friend Lord, maybe more. Who knows. I put it into your hands. If possible, let the wind gently caress and tickle his feet and he will know that that is me, bringing him pleasure, even if I can't do so in person at the moment.
I pray for my friend Steve(areenactor). He needs a job Lord. He's frustrated, angry and his heart is filled with worry. But I believe that he still loves you and is Your child. Please give him a balm of peace that will sooth his tired, aching soul. He needs your grace right now Lord. If it be your will, find him a job and soon.
Finally, Thank you for giving me all the gifts you have bestowed upon me. Knowledge, faith, mercy, discernment, perserverance and the gift of writing what You want the world to read and hear. Thanks for my graduation coming up in two weeks. I didn't think I'd ever make it. But your grace is sufficient for me. I will listen to your voice. Use me as a vessel of your love and grace.
In Jesus's Name,

I thank you Lord, again, for giving me another day to live. We often take it for granted, some of us even rue it. I thank You, again Lord, for the gift of life.
Lord, you know that I am trying to find a job. You know my circumstances, You know the factors. You know what is holding me back and you know what is an obsticle in my way.
Lord Jesus, clear the path, remove the obsticles, open the doors and touch the hearts. Not just for me, but for everyone who needs or wants a job both here and everywhere.
I thank You oh Lord for hope and dreams. For without hope and dreams, what reason would there be to move forward happily? Would I not just live for the sake of it? Would I not just continue because I must? I thank You Lord for hope and dreams. And I thank You for helping me and others, believers or not, who truely deserve to get ahead in the world. Bring pride and joy thanksgiving and happiness to those who succeed legitmately and with honesty of business and practice, and to those who serve You, give them in abundance. Bring shame to those who are frauds, liars, and decievers. To those who perform malpractice, con-jobs, pyrimd schemes and all of the other untruthful and decieving things, may they be brought to justice and may the victims regain their losses and be compensated.
Let not a man or woman say "Ah ha! We have pulled the wool over the eyes of these fools, and behind their backs we steal away their wages! Our way with words and dishonest speech has made them susceptible, they are pawns in our hands! Let us take them for all they worth!"
Bring these and their lot to justice Lord. Both that of the world and that of Yours. May they in some way be remorseful and ask, beg, for forgiveness and gain Your pardon.
Let the just man and woman say " The Lord has blessed me in abundance! Praise the Lord! Because I give of my earnings, I am compensated further more. Because I give to the least likely of Yours oh Lord, to the downtroden, the disinfranchized and the poor, I have come to see Your face in theirs and better understand what I have been called to do. You give me plenty oh Lord, so I will give plenty back!"
Amen.

That I have a loving family I know I can depend on, for my Brethren and Sisters in Christ who encourage me in the faith and for my many friends, here at the TMF and in my community. You have been a beacon of light to me in dark times and been there to strengthen me when I need you most. I thank you for my health and for the privelage of going to the job I love each and every day. And most of all for giving me the hope of salvation through Your son who died on our behalf, that we may yet have life free from sin and hardship. Bless those who love You Lord and indeed all who call upon Your Holy name. May they find peace through Your Word and be strengthened.

A couple Psalms:
PSALM 32 v 1 - 7
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
When I declared not my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all the day long. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer.
I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord"; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin.
Therefore let every one who is godly offer prayer to thee; at a time of distress, in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. Thou art a hiding place for me, thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with deliverance.
v 10, 11
Many are the pangs of the wicked; but steadfast love surrounds him who trusts in the Lord. Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
PSALM 34 v 1 - 9
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!
I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. Look to him and be radiant; so your faces shall never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. O taste and see that the Lord is good! Happy is the man who takes refuge in him! O fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no want!.... those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
v 15 - 20
The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and his ears toward their cry. The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the rememberance of them from the earth. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
PSALM 103
Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger for ever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor requite us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.
Amen :)

Lord, thank you for convicting me so that bear, bunny and I could reconcile. You know what a big burden on my heart that was. I feel such abounding joy.
Thanks also for bringing peace between Dan and I. Anger is an ugly weapon that Satan uses against me, Lord. Help me to destroy it.
Lord, bless my friends on the TMF. I love them all so much Lord. Help us to be a channel for your glory.
Thanks for the kind words that flowed from leafstk's text. I'll take that as a thumbs-up sign from you that you want our relationship to continue to grow. *crydun smiles broadly*
You have laid the following song on my heart
When you first find yourself and you wanna run and tell
All the world of your joy cause now you've given life
But the hardest thing is to live what you will say
And you feel yourself slipping quietly away from your goal....

I have been led to post this. I wrote it based on a sermon I heard.
Lord, Shine Your Light On Me
Lord, shine your light on me
Conquer all my fear;
You are the light of the world
I know you will be here.
When I walk in darkness
I still see your light;
Your light is with me always
It burns within my heart.
When my day is heavy
My light is burning low;
I just look to you, Lord
Your light renews my tired soul.
Lord, keep me in your light
Be not far from me;
Lift me up in your love
Let me shine for Thee.

Amen, everyone. Amen. These are truely powerful prayers. Kudos. ^__^
Oh Lord, thank you again for another day.
Oh Lord, help us all to find some extra time for prayer. Some of us are so busy, so burdened that we forget to set aside some time for you or we do not set aside enough time. Lord, move aside the things that needlessly distract us when we are trying to pray so that our prayer will not be in vain. Help us to reach a commune with You. Bring Yourself into our midst when we pray. Help us feel Your presence. Help us block out the wordly distractions. Help us to remain focused and undetered, calm and peaceful. When we are not at peace, please sooth us when we do try to pray and mediatate. Comfort us in our afflictions.
For truely, this time is set aside for you. And no matter how little or how much of it there is at a time, bless us Lord, for you know what is in our hearts. You alone know the degree which we pray and call upon you. Oh Lord, help us make more time for You. You are a gracious loving God. Continue to give us the capacities to worship you and give thanks more opening, more readily, and with more desire. Instill in us all a more prayerful life, so that we might be better servants to You and for You.
Let not the enemy make our minds hazy. May he not tempt us away from prayer. The fallen one would like nothing more than for us to skip prayer, and he uses our limited time to his advantage when possible. Shut him out Lord. Our prayer life, give him not authority over. May through prayer, faith and good will may we vanquish the enemy from our midst. He hates us with a passion and the snares are already set. But prayer and thanksgiving are poison to him, and keep him at bay, him and his.
Lord, may we remain constant in our prayer and may we never underestimate what a valuable and wonderful gift it is. Thank you for it.
Amen.

Ever wonder about the abbreviation A.S.A.P.? Generally we think of it in
terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we think of this
abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to deal
with those rough days along the way.
*************
There's work to do, deadlines to meet;
You've got no time to spare,
But as you hurry and scurry-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER
In the midst of family chaos,
"Quality time" is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.
It may seem like your worries
Are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather-
ASAP - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER
God knows how stressful life is;
He wants to ease our cares,
And He'll respond to all your needs
A.S.A.P. - ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.

Thank you Lord for your love and unwavering mercy. Without your forgiveness and your guidance, I am nothing.
Thank you Lord for the peace and freedom we enjoy in these lands. It is indeed a great blessing from You that we may read from Your Word and offer our prayers and worship without fear of persecution. May you continue to bless us so and may Your Word and graciousness spread such freedom to every God-fearing man, woman and child on this earth. For your way is the right way and is the way to peace.
Thankyou Lord for the kind thoughts and words from my dear friend Crydun. She is a special woman and is in need of your strength and support as she approaches her finals next week. May it be that you bless our friendship and allow for it to grow. I pray that you may send her all the success and happiness that life can offer.

Dear father in heaven...Thank you for loving me so much...even when I am weary of being me...you still love me....
when I struggle with enormous temptation which would otherwise hold great power over my life, your strength n love allows me to choose you...Thank you for the hope you gave us with your son.
when I have an ungodly attitude and have difficulty forgiving those who seem to be so insensitive and uncaring...thank you for making me see through your sons example that suffering is a part of being a Christian...that through pain comes spiritual maturity and personal growth and also builds character....Thank you for showing me that forgiveness is directly linked to humility...if I do not forgive others it is like I am saying I deserve to be saved and they do not:( :( Thank you for insight that allows me to see that.
thank you for loving me so much that your love makes me see love in those that would otherwise seem unlovable to me. I know through your devotion to love us all that love is the most powerful weapon against evil. I pray that all Christians have a loving attitude toward those that do not yet know the truth about you and those that do not even know there is a truth to be known that we are patient with them:(
I pray that you help us to always remember to be an example of your son who provided us with the most perfect model of what Love looks like and that we imitate that always...we may be the only bible some people ever get to see...
peace n love...

I may not be religious in a Christian sense, but I believe in God in my own way, existing as Nature itself, where saviors, saints and sinners are all equal and important. I'll take the opportunity in this thread to give it thanks for keeping me happy in the darkest days, with the knowledge that there is beauty in everything and that nothing is trivial. Knowing that I am as much a part of God as everyone else, I give love to myself and all of you.

Thank you Lord for your humble servant Father John, whom resides at your parish, our parish, of St. Joseph's Church.
He does such a good job of explaining the gospel, and his knowledge of other cultures, religions, and beliefs are impressive. He goes far out of his way in his explainations and no matter how he says it, it makes sense, it rings true, and it makes me proud to be associated with him as a member of St. Joseph's Church. With every one of his sermons, his homilies, I learn something factual and new. He speaks with honesty and candor, love and compassion. He truely is an advocate of Christ Jesus. He and Father Michael, are two very good priests, and I ask you to bestow your blessings upon these two of Yours.
They are wonderful priests and wonderful human beings. God bless them. Thank you. Amen.

"The Difference"
I got up early one morning
and rushed into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task.
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wonder why God didn't show me.
He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presense;
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
"My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning,
and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.

Dear Lord, I thank you for the peace of mind that comes in knowing YOU and in control and have ALL the power and ALL the glory, and that YOU are the one directing me and watching over me. Without that peace of mind I'd likely be worse off than I am.
Thank you for peace of mind. :)

Thank you also God for keeping me calm, cool, and collected. It seems as if there are too many emotions to count and that perhaps each one of them is battling for some sort of dominance. But dispite the complexity of a human mind, and it's limitations, You grant on me, Your child, Your son, a peace and calm. I know this peace and calm can and does sometimes upset others, and I hope Lord that you touch them somehow and help them realize that this is just the way I am sometimes and that I am not acting this way to anger them.
Whatever may be troubling them, and would cause them to react to my calmness this way, I ask you Lord to help them. They are just as in need and as deserving of Your divine help as I am. Thank you. Amen.

Thank you Lord for another day. With each I am a newer version of myself, slightly different than the one from the previous day. How awesome it is to know that every second that ticks on by is accounted for by You, as is the one that will follow it, forever, until the end of my life here on Earth.

Thank you Lord for a good work enviroment. Many people work in places they hate or they say they hate, for one reason or another. While I'm likely to have my rough days as well, please allow me to see the good in what I do, and may that be sufficent.
I could have it a lot worse than I do, but I don't. So thank you Lord. :)

Dear Lord, as you know, a co-worker of mine has a best friend who was in a serious car accident yesterday at the hands of a drunk driver. He is in a coma.
If it is Your will that he come through this and awaken, please, by Your infinite glory and grace, make it so.
If it is his time Lord, then please rest his soul rest with You.
Either way, please comfort my co-worker and the family and friends of this young man in this most trying and difficult time. Let them not lose hope and faith, and no matter what happens, let them know that You are there, always.
Glory to You Lord. Amen.
