If someone is interested in reading some excellent fiction there is a novel available at many smaller bookstores, not the large chains, entitled "A Man with a Maid". It is in the form of a Victorian novel about an English gentleman, who lusts after this very proper lady and her daughter. He has built in his house, a "snuggery" in which he has placed very unusual pieces of furniture used for restraint. He lures these ladies down to his snuggery by describing what unuaual pieces of furniture he would like to show them. When he has them secured he, well you can guess the rest. Perhaps you would like to add this piece of literature to your collection. Oh by the way, the author is anonymus.

It's highly recommendable, I've read it, even though the actual tickling isn't quite the same as in our own stories section.

This reprint of a much older book was published by 'Carrol & Graf', ISBN 0-7867-0549-3 . When I asked the English bookshop in my hometown, the owner replied in a huff that he doesn't offer pornographic literature. I just asked him how he knew about the erotic nature of the book if he hasn't read it... :)

Just to clarify and explain what Hal said, the "tickling" in Man with a Maid is not about laughter. Rather it contains many, many scenes of this fellow tantalizing women with slow, soft, teasing touches. It may be erotic for some, but don't expect a single giggle, chuckle or guffaw.

It's tickling, Captain, but not as we know it...

Hal, are you going to make me say this again?

(in my best Michael Palin imitation):

"I didn't say I didn't READ it, guv'nor, I just don't OFFER it!"

A Man With A Maid

This novel was first published about 15 years ago and they followed up with vol 2 & 3. I bought them all and found them enjoyable to read. As a matter of interest they based these books on the film "What The Swedish Butler Saw" which was released around 20 years ago. The girl who was tickled in the film was Sue Longhurst and some of the clips from this could be found on the forum this year. I purchased the film from Amazon.com and found the tickling scenes very authentic.

Yes! This book (which I discovered in a relative's house when I was 13) opened my eyes to the erotic possibilities of bondage and teasing. True, the 'tickling' in it isn't tickling as we mean it. Basically the guy teases the victim's sex with feathers until she is about to 'spend' (a word they used for climax back then), then stops and lets her calm down for a bit before resuming. Eventually she 'consents' to sex rather than endure more teasing.
Incidentally the mother+daughter segment is only at the very end of the book. Initially the only victim is a woman who previously toyed with our hero's heart, and he decides to take revenge by toying with her body. Afterwards, she helps him capture and torment other women because she found that she loved the treatment and wanted more.

That Book..

Is at least 23 years old because I'll be 41 in 2 weeks and I read it when I was 18.
There are actually 4 books in the series. The first two are excellent. I liked his tickling scene with Marion, the sister.
It's all sexual torture type tickling.

This What The Swedish Butler movie. Is it just like the book?

I read A Man With A Maid back in college, and I loved it. Books I and II were among the first "naughty" novels I ever read, and the tickling scenes got me incredibly hot and bothered. Great books.

A new edition may have been published 15 years ago, based on new interest generated by the film, but the book is much older than that. I read it when I was in college, and I am soon going back for my class' 30th reunion, May 30 to June 2.

Moreover, the dog-eared copy that I read then was certainly at least 10 years old. I don't remember the copyright date, and it was a borrowed book, so I don't have it to look at.

Re: Man with a Maid

I happen to remember that another book I read when I was GI during the fifties. It is a better tickling than A man with a Maid. The title is "Decameron night". It is about a Japanese girl who was forced to be a prostitute by tickling in har soles and armpits. I wish to find this book and read it again in any of the language translations. The one I read was a Chinese translation. But I believe that the original is not Chinese. Does anybody know anything about it?

For Neutron "What the Swedish Butler Saw"

:) Although released on video as "What the Swedish Butler Saw" it was originally shown at cinemas in my area of the UK as "Love in 3-D". I went to see it with a girlfriend and we were given those ridiculous cardboard spectacles to view the scenes reproduced in 3-D effect. The film lasted around 75 minutes of which about 2 minutes were in 3-D which made the film title a bit crazy! It was probably released in Sweden as the main character "Jack" was played by a nondescript Swedish actor and you could tell that the english accents had been dubbed onto the film for the release in the UK.
The lead female in the film "Alice" is played by Sue Longhurst who appeared in many low budget skinflicks around that time. As in the book she rejects Jacks advances so much that he buys a room in an old mental assylum to ensnare her for his pleasure. He finally traps her in this room and with a mechanical device pulls her cuffed wrists above her head ready to take advantage of her. He threatens to cut her clothes off with a pair of scissors so to save destroying her garments she is forced to strip naked. To remind you this was around the late 70's and bondage scenes with females was usually cut by the censors then so I was surprised to see full frontal shots of Sue Longhurst with her arms stretched above her head in cuffs waiting for "Jacks" pleasure! The first scenes are of a sexual nature as the guy reaches out and squeezes her bare tits with his hands. The camera cuts to the side and he runs his hands down her naked body. "Alice" giggles and has to admit to being ticklish."Jack" then brings out a curious machine called the "Chinese Tickler" which consists of a bunch of feathers tied together in a revolving tube. The camera shot is from the front as "Jack" begins to torture her by tickling her upper body with the machine. You see the feathers tickle her bare nipples and then run down her ribs finally tickling her bellybutton until running out of shot. She is finally tickled to an orgasm although you do not see the feathers working on her downstairs!
Alice passes out so Jack releases her and carries her over to a wooden frame complete with metal cuffs to constrain her.Her hands are fastened to the side of the frame which was a little disappointing for me as in the book it describes Jack fastening Alice to a torture rack and stretching her out. Perhaps this would have been to much for the censors to let us see..a nude female on the rack with Jack waiting
to have his way...still we have the book and our imagination!
By the way my girlfriend enjoyed the film. When Alice was being tickled she whispered in my ear "Would you like to do that to me?" And I did many times!

2 versions on film

I've got a video copy of "What the Swedish Butler Saw" which I first saw in the 80's and would agree that the sound has definitely been re-dubbed. The actual film quality isn't too good either. Despite first impressions, I don't think the response to the tickling is all that real but the concept is great. Much to my surprise, I saw a similar film a couple of years ago which seemed to use the same set and story line but with a mother and daughter having been "captured". Despite there being a huge number of feathers and lots of potential, there was no tickling.

The Last

Part of Man With A Maid Book 1 is the part describing the mother and daughter being captured.
The part where they are tied together on top of a bench, then tickled is VERY hot.
