Politics and Religion Sub-Forum Rules and Policies
By participating in this forum, you agree to abide by our rules and policies. We encourage active debate and free speech, but remember you are guests here. Civil and ethical conduct are required.
The discussion forum strives to be an intellectually stimulating environment in which members exchange ideas in the spirit of discovery. Poisoning that environment with acrimony is highly discouraged. Please exercise tact and refrain from insulting others or disrupting ongoing discussions with inflammatory speech and unsupported allegations. Use reputable resources and verifiable data when appropriate. Remain on topic and debate the subject, NOT the poster.
Moderators will try to provide fair warning regarding behavior which might warrant their intervention. Failure to heed warnings from the moderators and/or administrators is grounds for suspension of posting privileges.
Note: Users may disagree with the decisions or actions of the moderators and/or administrators. However disagreements, criticism and the like are not to be aired within ANY of the discussion forums. Both Admins and Mods are available through PMs as needed.
You will not post material that is knowingly defamatory, illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, or racially offensive. As with anything, you will use good common sense. In other words, you agree not to be a jerk.

Exceptions to this standard are covered by the Federal law regarding fair use, 17 USCS 107, and related case law, which holds that only partial excerpts of copyrighted material may be reproduced, and only as necessary for criticism or comment.
If any of these rules are abused, the offending message may be removed without prior notice, and if you repeatedly violate any of these rules or otherwise seek to disrupt the board then the administrators can disable your account at their discretion.
Please recognize the real-time nature of this bulletin board: we cannot always monitor the contents of posted messages, and we depend upon you to inform us when participants or their messages are violating our policy as stated here. You also need to recognize that we cannot respond immediately to such notices and that some time may pass before any warranted action is taken.
