I just wanted to post here that my "favorite president", George W Bush, will be in my area today. He will be at an undisclosed location in Lancaster this afternoon, is planning to stop by an auto body shop, and then will be at a rally at the York fairgrounds tonught at 6pm, which is about 20 miles from me.
I live right down the street from Republican Headquarters here in Lancaster, and the reports I heard say that there is expected to be a large group of heckling protestors near Republican HQ as Mr President drives by. (I wont be among them) There is a large amount of local media coverage about his visit. This is a very Republican area (As to why that is, I dont know, because most people here are middle class, and not rich) Yet, Al Gore won Lancaster County in 2000. I dont know if John Kerry plans to visit here, but if he does, I'd love to see him. As for me, as most know on here, Iam a Kerry-Edwards supporter, and there is no way that I will ever vote for George W Bush.
Anyhow, so it will be an interesting day. I just hope that traffic isnt snarled all over the place due to his visit. It's the summer, and a Friday, and traffic is always busy here anyway in the summer, now we have to deal with his visit. I guess he feels it is important to rally support in this Republican area, but, whatever he does, or whatever he says, there is no way he's ever getting my vote! My vote goes to John Kerry and John Edwards.

An update on this issue. I got a copy of this afternoon's Lancaster New Era, the same paper that my mom and I were interviewed by a couple of weeks ago after we saw F-911. According to the paper, there were more than 100 protestors outside Republican HQ here in Lancaster yesterday, showing that there are certain feelings of disdain for W even in this highly Republican area. According to the paper, some of them held signs saying "Like Father, Like Son, four years and you're done" as well as ones saying "Down with Bush" and "No More Bush"
He was supposed to be in Lancaster this afternoon at 3, but, luckily, the area I was in wasnt disrupted by his visit, and he is still scheduled to be at the fairgrounds in York at 6pm. This is Bush's 25th visit to PA in his term, and state and local lawmakers say that PA will be a key state if Bush wants to retain the White House. (Last time, the state voted for Al Gore, and right now, according to latest polls, John Kerry is way ahead in PA) It will be interesting to see how all this turns out.

How is my message not clear? My first post clearly says:" Iam a Kerry-Edwards supporter"

am i to understand that my sarcastic wit was not even recognozed for the genius it is?

of course i know you support them.

it was the recurring theme of "i'll never vote for bush" that i was teasing you about.

don't make me drive out there in an amish buggy to explain these things.

i love you man.
