This isnt new news, the pentagon incident on 9/11 has always been fishy. doesnt suprise me one bit. i think a Unites States fighter jet shot the plane down, personally.

I agree with venray1, it's well put together. The video angle is something new, but otherwise this one has been around for a little while.

so what can we conclude if this is true?

Before anyone concludes this is true, check this link out; you'll find the same video near the bottom of the page.

that page concludes that an F-16 hit the pentagon with a missle? I don't believe that, but if that were to be true, all hell would break loose if it ever got out.

Fuck snopes... who died and made them God of truth? They have some good points, but they don't seem to effectively dispel this conspiracy theory. This is one of those rare cases where the conspiracy theorists are on to something... unless of course, you also believe that JFK's death had nothing to do with the government. If you believe that, please explain Jack Ruby's role.

Lovely reply, macphisto :rolleyes::sowrong:
I believe that's about all for me on these forums.

How is this thread considered either political or religeous? What's the big idea?

Treason, perhaps...

9/11 and the doubt that it was a plane hitting the petagon and the hint of a cover up or conspiracy is totally political, Dan...
Mac, the snopes site has been proven to be reputable over and over again. The "F" snopes comment was uncalled for. You are entitled to your opinion, but could phrase it differently....
Gila, dont let one response in this hotbed forum cause you to leave...

Lemme put it this way... I don't doubt the inaccuracy of a group with a "freedomunderground.org" URL, but at the same time, why is Snopes somehow regarded as the last word in these kind of things? I agree that they've dispelled some urban legends well, but they should be seen as conspiracy theorists in their own right. The only difference is that they conspire that everything really is the way it seems. Revealing "disturbing coincidences" is no more an agenda than explaining them away as lunacy. There are two sides to this coin, and since no one here is omniscient, then no one can really say for sure what the truth is on this subject. We'll probably never know, just like we don't with Kennedy's death.
Gila, I'm sorry I snapped at you, but I guess I just started getting tired of seeing snopes presented as some bastion of truth. Everyone has agendas... even snopes... some are simply less conspiratorial than others...

Personally I think you're all mad for believing this and I firmly believe the explanation given by the government. I mean, they wouldn't lie to us.
Would they? :dogpile:
Seriously though, some people draw conclusions after reading all the evidence that goes completely against what the evidence indicates. Quite often they end up on juries. :D There are plenty of lucid, intelligent, reasonable people who are convinced that Lee Oswald and only Lee Oswald shot John F. Kennedy. I personally don't, as I've written about in the JFK thread, but there are at least two guys with pretty sharp minds and cogent reasoning who are convinced it's so right here on the TMF.
Similarly there are plenty of people who won't believe a word against the official explanation of events like 9/11, Oklahoma or the murder of Princess Diana no matter how much evidence supports an alternative conclusion.
That movie presented info that even I with all my many hours of sad, I-don't-have-a-real-life reading hadn't come across before. It's incredible. The only thing I would say, is that you shouldn't base a conclusion on this alone. You should alsways listen to arguments from both sides. Anyone can make a cogent argument is they know enough psychobabble.
Good post Dan. Can I have your autograph? ;)

.....if I have got this right, it could have been a missile, or it could have been a much smaller plane than was claimed. So, in either case where are all the people who died? are they still alive? was it all a Republican conspiracy and they are all working as interns as the White House? or is it the Democrats? are they all now writing scripts for Micheal Moore films?

Nope, it was the script-writers for the Tomb Raider film and they're working in McDonald's and playing centre-forward for Oldham Athletic.

It was D.B. Cooper who parachuted near the Pentagon with all that money and his empty UFO hit the Pentagon. He hid out near a grassy knoll but didn't find any WMD's. Knowing they were hidden in Iran he flew to the Bermuda Triangle and there he met Fidel Castro but instead of getting proof of WMD's, ended up discussing who shot Kennedy over tea. Castro convinced D.B. to prove that the U.S. never sent a man to the moon. Before D.B. could investigate NASA, he was captured by an urban myth South American lady who drugged him, stole his kidney, and left him in a bath tub full of ice. After recovering he was picked up by a swift boat and somehow ended up in the National Guard, which is why conspiracy theorist feel it was D.B. Cooper who attacked the Pentagon that sad day. What does Snopes say about that? Huh? Huh? It's all a conspiracy. Saying that Cap'n Crunch is bad for you is a conspiracy keeping the sweet tooth down! What was this thread about again?

D.B. Cooper... good reference. What a lucky mofo... He ran off with $200,000 from a skyjacking back in the 70s. The government could never figure out who this clever man was. $200,000 in the 70s... that would have had the same purchasing power as about $800,000 nowadays. The most shocking part of Cooper's story is that he literally jumped out of the plane he jacked shortly after receiving his money. As to the details of the escape itself....
"He parachuted from 10,000 feet at 196 miles per hour into the blackness of the Thanksgiving Eve storm with temperatures outside the plane at 7 below and the wind chill at a toasty 70 below zero wearing nothing more than a suit, an overcoat, loafers, and a parachute. At that speed, the loafers would have been gone almost immediately. However, there is no reason to suspect that he would be unable to survive 15 seconds of such temperatures until he landed. If he did die, it most likely would have been from the parachute failing during the skydive or from not being able to get out of the snow-filled forest without food or a way of staying warm."
