Check this out. I read about this website in the newspaper and the columnist took it so seriously, I had to see it for myself. This is without a doubt satire but I'm interested in your comments anyway.

It's satire. It's actually a group of Kerry supporters taking the mick out of the stereotypical Republican. The equivalent on the right is Communists For Kerry (http://www.communistsforkerry.com/).
Interesting note, Fox News did an article over the weekend that had interviews with members of both of these groups regarding the recent presidential debate. Fox made sure to note that Billionaires For Bush was a parody but somehow didn't do the same for Communists for Kerry. Why? Because "a member of Communists for Kerry managed to persuade a FOXNews.com reporter that he was indeed a Kerry supporter". Seems Fox doesn't bother doing fact checking these days...
Oh, and the Washington Post also fell for the Communists For Kerry paradoy as well.

Thanks for the info, BOFH666. I just checked out the link you posted. I'd say we've opened up a can of worms with this topic. Watching the Vice President debates tonight?

How to put this... HELL NO! Not because I don't want to but, well, check the location link in my profile. Dick Cheney at 1 in the morning is way more than I can take I'm afraid. :D I'll try to remember to tape it though, and I'll catch the transcript and webcasts tomorrow.
Problem is, I just don't see how it's going to eclipse the first Presidential debate for entertainment value. Talk about blowing all the good stuff in the first act...
Oh, and as for can of worms, nah not really. The Communist site is okay but tends to run the joke into the ground pretty darn quick. The Billionaires site does a better job IMHO because it's got more material to work with. But both kinda remind me of a Saturday Night Live sketch turned into a movie, funny in small doses, short on fresh ideas (uh, does not include Wayne's World).

Yeah, you're right. This thread will probably die a slow but painless death. I'm sure someone will find it interesting... I'm curious... was there ever a presidential campaign where mudslinging WASN'T involved?
