I just finished reading his book "Lies, and the lying liars who tell them, a fair and balanced look at the right" and I must say, this man is a genius. He truly exposes people like ann coulter, bill o'reilly, sean hannity, rush limbaugh ect for what they really are, liars. Don't believe me? Read the book. It'll have an effect, that I can promise. I couldn't reccomend this book more. he also goes into how the right likes to blame clinton for anything that goes wrong, and utterly puts to rest that sad and pathetic argument. Liberals, this is our bible, and conservatives, this is your cure. :D ;)
(your opinion may differ from mine but I urge you, get the book! proof is provided for all facts)

Sorry, I'm too busy reading "Unfit For Command." I picked it up off the best-sellers shelf at Waldenbooks, and man is this book an eye-opener. Curious, I saw nothing by Al Franken there. Oh well.

Try his other book, titled "Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot" also. You might not see these on best seller, simply because they have been out for over a year.

Al is good enough, smart enough, and gosh darn it... People like him.
Drew... You really should try reading 8th grade level stuff now. "Unfit for Command" is a good 7th grade level work of fiction, but I figure your reading skills have approached the Sean Hannity level. He still writes fiction, but he's better at making it seem real.

Sweet! I'm not the only one old enough to remember when he and Tom Davis did skits on SNL way back when.

His books is very good, and very funny. He just doesn't give any answers, just like the other liberals. They're really good at criticizing, and he sends some great criticisms to Fox News (which deserves them). But how do we deal with the terrorists - no answer. How do we make life in the US more fair for the lower class - no answer. How do we solve envoromental problems - no answer.
Tell people they have to conserve on energy, and see how they will ignore you. Go try to talk to the terrorists, so they can understand you because you're so smart, and see how they will cut your head off.
But again, the book is funny as hell when he rips into Fox News, and describes his various meetings with Fox News personalities. Some of those people really need to eat some humble pie, and he gave it to them so well, he got sued. (I love the splotchy O'Reilly photo on the cover!) The lawsuit was literally laughed out of court (people in the court were laughing out loud at Fox News lawyers as they angrily showed they had no sense of humor.) And this caused book sales to increase, pissing off Fox even more. Now O'Reilly hates Al Franken with a passion - but Franken was cool because he didn't just take it, or slink away like O'Reilly's other enemies, he stood up to him and laughed at him, wich pisses arrogant people off the most.

Of the two books by Hannity I'm aware of, I preferred "Deliver Us From Evil." I have to admit that I didn't actually buy it, I downloaded it in PDF format. He was especially good at weaving a tale of the evil liberals taking over the country while the righteous right was attempting to return us to good ole family values. He pretty much picks up from where "Let Freedom Ring" left off (no pun intended), but "Deliver" seems to mark a point in time where he's getting better at persuading people toward his views. See, in "Deliver Us From Evil," he makes the wise decision to focus less on defending Bush's questionable decisions and more on how the left is bad. This is a much easier position to take, since it requires less thought to demonize something than to actually talk about how to solve problems or to defend controversial policies. "Let Freedom Ring" still has a nice storyline to it, but his political naivity shows a bit more in that one. Still, I must confess that I didn't quite finish "Deliver Us From Evil," because I found myself more drawn to "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." The storylines are slightly more believable in the Harry Potter series, and I figure if I'm going to read something at the 8th grade level, it should be more entertaining than Hannity.

I figure if I'm going to read something at the 8th grade level, it should be more entertaining than Hannity. Then try "Stupid White Men," which I understand is Michael Moore's autobiography.

MrMacPhisto, you mean Hannity can actually "write"?? did he ever learn how to write complete sentences and form coherent thoughts? I guess he finally decided to change his goal of just being a paperweight to something reasonably useful.

LOL... Ok... I'll give you credit for that one... But yeah, Moore's best work was probably "Dude, Where's My Country?" Which I understand is at least 9th grade level. Hannity can't quite compete with Moore in literary ability. Still, Franken and Bill Maher are funnier anyway.

I agree on that, MrMacphisto, Franken and Maher are more enjoyable.
