And these can be the obscure ones as well.

My Favourite:
"The Royal Society for Putting Things on top of other Things"
(In 2004,I believe I put no fewer than 22 things on top of other things!" :p

Well.....it's all rather silly, isn't it?

I always crack up at the Arthur "two-sheds" Jackson sketch. (did I get that name right?)

I second Venray's choice (Ministry of Silly Walks). I remember a sketch they did about drag racing which wasn't at all about race cars... it was about men dressed in drag. Hilarious! (A lot of my friends never understood British humour but I seemed to embrace it right from the start)... I love "The Lumberjack Song" sketch, too.

Oh lord. "Dead Parrot", probably. I am driven to damn near tears everytime I watch that skit. "Spam" is another good one, as is "Argument".

Gotta love Monty Python!!

probably one from one of their movies. The scene where the villagers are trying to prove some woman is a witch.. that always creases me up :)

"The Bishop", a James Bond-esque holy man...

NO ONE expects the Spanish Inquisition!

And ya can't go wrong with the Dead Parrot. (lovely plumage)

Argument Clinic. Hands down. 'Dennis Moore' was a good one, too.

Definitely the "Arguement" sketch.
"Dead Parrot" is second.

Does anyone remember "The 1972 British All-Summarizing Proust Competition"?
Where you had to summarize all of Proust's masterworks (7 volumes)in 15 Seconds?
I remember one of the contestants listed his hobbies as Golf,Strangling Animals, and Masturbating. As he left the stage the announcer (Eric Idle)stated that he'd let himself down in front of the judges - "Golf not very popular around here!"
In the end they gave the 1st place prize to the girl with the biggest tits!
Then it cut to a shot of Mount Everest with the V/O "Mount Everest! Forbidding, aloof, terrifying! The mountain with the biggest tits in the world!" :jester:

On this webpage, if you scroll down a ways, you can hear a variety of soundbytes from Monty Python movies... actually, the majority of them are from "The Holy Grail"...correct me if I'm wrong, which has been known to happen on occasion... why, just the other day...:

Can't get enough of the Minitrsy of Silly Walks, m'self.
I also love the Fish License, which includes Eric the Half-a-Bee.
And the Queen Victoria Race is wonderfully silly, along with the Philophers Football game, with Confucious as the ref.
From the films, I love the Stoning, and Every Sperm is Sacred. Also from Life of Brian, I can't not giggle incessantly in that one moment when the sun is coming up over the city, and you hear one of the guys (in an iffeminate voice) call out "Cock-a-doodle-doo!!"
Muah!

The knife fight with the lion, and the immediately following attack of the fifty foot penguin with electrical tentacles that kill people.

How about the Battley Town Women's Guild re-enactment of the "Battle of Pearl Harbour" (performed in a muddy farmer's field dressed in drag with large purses as weapons):jester:

I couldn't find anything referring to that, Socksoff, but you might have a lot of fun with this... (Wavefile is actually Windows Media Player... it was for me, anyway):

Lord help me when I laugh so hard as the night a group of tickle-folks got together and ran through every known Monty Python sketch...with proper silly accents and facial expressions for extra merit! I think they even invented a few!

Funniest night ever!

I swear!

Personally, I nearly wet my pants at that damn penguin on the tv. Not sure why....it just gets me. And, well, the resting parrot. Must be something about birds.
