I walked into the lobby at work and there, on the electronic bulletin board, is a message proclaiming that "laugher is the best medicine" along with info how it releases endorphines, reduces stress and some other claim that escapes me at the moment. I should mention that this message also had little animated laughing people border around it.

[homer simpson voice] Dooh. [/homer simpson voice]

Talk about stopping me dead in my tracks. I hate it when innocent stuff like that catches me off guard. The person I was talking to at the time noticed my distraction but was clueless why I was distracted. By the time they turned around to see what I was looking at the message had changed.

Of course, the ler in me now wonders who published the message and if there's a teeny-tiny piece of lee or ler in that person. Riight. Wishful thinking, yes... no doubt just mindlessly snagged from Readers Digest.

[sigh] The closet is a lonely place sometimes. :(

It's interesting that even references to laughter, with or without tickling, make you feel self-conscious. The designers of that notice on the E-board were probably envisioning people laughing from hearing a funny joke or seeing a comic performance.

But yeah, closets are lonely.
