If you have ever been to a NEST before you do not need to fill out an application. I have those on file. However, you do need to let me know you're coming so I can get deposit information out to you.

CAV88, as to transportation, if you can get yourself to Philadelphia, someone will be able to give you a ride! Take Amtrak to Philadelphia, and once QBWeaver gets the venues set, hey, all ya gotta do is ask.

I don't yet know if I will be able to make it. Money is a serious issue at the moment, as well as there is a possibility I may be training to become an instructor for Impact Model Mugging (which some of you may remember me mentioning last year) and/or I may be training for a railroad job here in Alaska.

So.... I know there's a couple people want some payback from me! I wanna be there! But I don't yet know if I will be able to afford it or fit NEST into my schedule... :(

I'll keep ya posted.

I was wondering if there is anybody who would be interested in carpooling or giving me a ride to NEST. I dont know my way around philly very well and my car is an absolute gas guzzler.

I am new to the tickling scene so I dont know anybody yet. I would love to meet people at NEST though. I live in northern Maryland, right outside of Delaware, so it would be convenient if I could either meet someone who lives in Delaware or is traveling through Maryland on the way to NEST.

I think it would be convenient to split gas/parking tolls with someone and not risk getting lost by traveling there myself.

Also, IF I CAN ATTEND, I'm interested in renting a car in Philly if someone wants to carpool with me and help out w/rental costs. I'm having my own gathering later in the year and want to put a little $$ aside for it.

If not, I'll help out with the gas money if someone is willing to drive.

As far as the costs....

The party itself is $30 per person. It consists of a $20 deposit that has to be sent in before hand and then $10 at the door. The monies go towards the location and all the food and drinks and water that we provide for you at the social on Saturday and during the main event on Sunday.

The rest is up to you. We did get a great deal on the motel this year. It's going to run between $65-75 a night. You make your own room arrangements either at the place we got or another place if you'd rather stay elsewhere. Travel - it's up to you. Food and such - other than the social and the main event - it's up to you.

Well I am hoping to attend also. The NEST is VERY addictive. Let us hope I don't get hit with any illness so I can attend. I was devasted when I could not come last year because I was so sick.

Heck this falls three days past my Bday (4/28). Maybe I can give some tickles as a belated Bday present :)

I have only heard of this NEST thing in two places now....in TTDs' Hyenas Club and from TTD himself who has told me nice things about this gathering of people and I hear from him that almost 100 people show up to this?! Is that true or is he pulling my toe! I wish I could go but unfortunatly I unable to get out and meet others outside of my own group of friends. Maybe one day but I would have to go with someone I know, maybe TTD and his gal shygirl but for now I will just have to read about it.
I saw a few negagive things around but he cleared that up for me.
There will always be a few........bad apples or negative people out there and have something bad to say about everything.
I was told this NEST thing has been around for several years so ya can't be all bad! Right!

I had originally planned to attend Nest, as it is only about an hour from me, and was hoping to meet up with my good friends Knox and Lifeseeker, as well as others from the area of course. Unfortunately, a scheduling conflict wont allow me to attend.
My best friend got us concert tickets for the night of May 1 in Lancaster to see the Beach Boys, and it wouldnt be fun for me, or fair to either the Nest' folks, or my friend, to try and squeeze in both. Also, I wouldnt really enjoy either, and probably wouldnt get back home in time for the concert, or to have a decent dinner beforehand, so I'll have to pass this year. Know that I wish all the gatherers a great time, and I hope and intend to be at Nest in 2006.

Dennis, dead...drowned....Carl ( who actually held them together after Brian went nutz ) dead, Alan...in a battel with Mike love for rights to play as beach boys family and friends OUT that leaves Mike ( I am god ) Love and Bruce whats his name. It Just isnt the same anymore. Go to NEST. I think you will have a much better time.

Shygirl amd I have attended ONE nest I think it was three years
ago.....yes 3 years. We met quite a few people and it was her first
NEST. We had a great time and met some great people for first time
and have since invited those people to Hyenas Gatherings. The only
problem was at the time, the club at which the gathering was to take
place was closed down.....bankrupt I think but the hosts QBWeaver
and Max Speer acted quickly and found another venue and saved the
gathering from being canned. Later we were graciously invited to his
home for continued fun and laughter. All in all with the stay at the
hotel the night previous to the gathering and having dinner and fun
time afterwards.....the weekend was a blast. WE would love to go
again this year and hope we can work it in. Last year we had
obligations and could not make it but shygirl as been saying that we
need to get back there and meet some new couples and people(fresh
blood so to speak, bwahahahahahaa).
Sometimes there is some bad rap about certain Gatherings but all in
all with the number of people that attend this event yearly, they do
a fine job of it and everone ends up having a good time and a safe
time too for that matter. The ONLY problem is that it doesen't last
longer but things happen before and after the actual event itself as
folks go and meet afterwards.
If anyone has questions, and you do not want to contact folks you
don't know, Shygirl and I would do our best to answer your inquiries.
Like I said, WE REALLY want to get back down there and if all goes
well, we will be.

Aw, TTD, what gatherings have a bad rap? Certainly nothing associated with NEST. Greater attendance there than in all other events combined, these days. Max and Jan and their crew do a fine job with them.

I'd forgotten about that club fiasco. It was three years ago, though, man.

You're right about there being lots going on before and after. The trick is to meet up with friends before the event. One NEST was a party at the hotel for nearly a week. Ticklish decadence at it's finest!

I guess you hadda be there, brother.

Now quit givin' the new kids such doubt, brother. ;) NEST is the largest gathering of our kind, and easily the best event going of it's scale. Nothing done by anyone in our scene has ever come close, and I personally defy anyone to do larger or better.

Mind ya, that's 'cause it'll benefit this scene! Do make sure, kids, that if ya do better, y'remember to invite the NEST crew. Them kids deserve it!
