Ok ticklephiles... it looks as if the party is to be held in Bay City this year. MBS is the closest airort and Flint is second... close hotels will be the Doubletree Inn and the Holiday Inn but there are always plenty of options off of I675... We plan on having a BBQ on Friday and the main event on Saturday... I hope this helps you guys... we have such FANTASTIC ideas for this party!

Well,let it be known that Sadira is the first one to make this a 2 day thing. A munch is new to this gathering. So we are hoping for this to be the best Motown gathering to date. We at the end would love your input as to what you thought of the gathering and if there is anything we can improve upon. Are we nervous? YES we are. But I get the feeling that with the people who are part of this will do a bang-up job and we want you to have a great time here in Bay City. So we are happy to have all of you be part of it. Yeah, I know I'm guilty of some trash talking. But that's because I've never been "broken" before, so I'm pretty confident in my abilities to withstand whatever tickling is inflicted upon me. But I've also never been gang-tickled before, so I suppose the possibility (small as at may be) may exist for this to be my first time broken. But I'm looking forward to the challenge and to meeting everyone. I think it will be a fun time...and thanks to our gracious hosts for inviting everyone. I'm so excited, I may have to do this on your sofa when I get there... :couch:

Night number one of the Motown Event. Sadira made it through with flying colors. Dtrell manned the grill ( and did a fabulous job ) and Sadira and I want to extend great thanks to Dtrell for his contribution by working the grill. We would also like to thank everyone who showed up to the BBQ ( 15 in all ) for being part of the Munch. Lots of food, great conversation and of course great laughter. This is only the beginning. We are expecting a total of 39 in all for tomorrow's fun day. Naturally, we expect to have even more fun tomorrow. But we will have to wait and see. I am sure that more people will post so I will sign off for now. Until tomorrow have a good night everybody. :rotate:

Alas, so painfully far from Motown but I just got off the phone with some of the party. :xpulcy:
Sadira reports to me she has bruises already (eek!), NT is charming them all there as he does online, George is playing papa as is his nature~he and Sadira busted their asses for WEEKS for this thing. My new young friend JPrince is there, his first play party... :dogpile: And dtrell is the apparent new and clearly, much appreciated bbq master~you'll have to share your recipe hon....

Just got back home after making the excursion across the big pond (that would be Lake Michigan, for you non-midwesterners). Since I arrived around 1:00pm pm Saturday, I unfortunately missed the barbeque. However, I was happy to meet everyone on Saturday. I was also happy to back up my "trash talk" by being able to withstand with ease the attempts of ticklekitten, Sadira, Prinny and last but certainly not least, gigglegal to break me. After a few minutes of their attempts to tickle me into submission, I asked them if they had actually started yet. Either I was almost completely immune, or Michigan women really don't know how to tickle. Trash talk?? No, it's only trash talk if you can't back it up. I'd say I certainly backed it up. But it was fun watching those four women in their furious and futile attempts. Okay, enough gloating.

As for the party itself, I would like to be the first to thank our gracious hosts, Amy and George, for inviting us to their lovely home. They went all out to make this an enjoyable experience for everyone. In between playtime, we took some time to watch a few videos, watch the Cubs-Red Sox game, as well as watching Afleet Alex dominate the field in the Belmont Stakes. A certain attendee (who shall remain nameless, in case the IRS is reading this) was ecstatic (to say the least) when his horse destroyed the competition and won going away. Of course, there was a fair amount of tickle action, as well.

Now, time to get on my soapbox. As I said, everyone who attended had a swell time, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of Amy and George. However, since the turnout was only about 50% of the number who said they would attend, many of the attendees were more than a bit disappointed by the showing. This was a party that took months to plan, and Amy and George had everything arranged down to the last detail. If you are one of the many who promised to attend, but didn't call or e-mail to say you wouldn't be able to make it...shame on you. :disgust: I'm sure a large amount of food and drinks ended up being discarded because of some peoples' inconsiderate actions (or more accurately, inaction). :sowrong: All I can say is, it was your loss.

Anyway, I certainly enjoyed my short stay at the party and it was great meeting my fellow attendees. Again, a big thanks to Amy and George for their hospitality!!

It certainly was nice meeting you yesterday. I'm so glad that you made the trip and I hope that it was worth it even if us Michigan (and Indiana) women did not break you. We certainly did try our hardest. At least we got you to squirm around some so that was something! Does that count at least?!

I'm certainly looking forward to another Michigan party in the near future. As for people who said that they would come and did not end up showing, they lost out on a great time. We do understand that some people couldn't make it for personal reasons but they at least told us. People who did not respond, that's just very disrespectful. We will be making very minor changes for the next party so that this disappointment does not happen again.

And dtrell DID get me good and restrained but that is after I managed to escape three times. He says that he isn't the one who set up his cuffs originally but I dunno... lol.

If you guys still gonna try to plan another again in October can you not try it on the 1st of october, i'm in my cousins wedding that weekend, and would like to attend the gathering again, at a later day that month if possible. This past weekend i had a wonderful at the party.
