There is supposedly a Captain America Issue in 1988 with a tickling scene between two female characters. In the States you can probably pick this one up for a couple bucks at a comics shop that runs old titles. Can someone find this and scan it for the community? Or at least confirm that it exists....

supossedly..in issue #342 of captain america titled "the snake pit" the character vagabond tickles the villain character black racer into submission (both of these characters are female) so keep your eyes open for it..the comic is from june 1988 I believe.

Exactly. I looked all over the web for an image of the act, but Black Racer doesn't seem to be a very important or popular villianess.

Verdict: Not great.

Early in the issue, Vagabond is training with a big bald guy, who pins her and says something like, "Let's see you wrigle out from under 250 pounds of muscle!" To which she replies, "Oh really, maybe I should find out if you're ticklish. It's not shown to clearly, but he laughs some and says it's not a valid wrestling technique.

Then at the end of the issue, she and Black Racer are clinging to a speeding gurney (I think) and Vagabond thinks, "I have to find some way to make her let go." In the next panels they tumble to a stop, and she thinks, "And D-man (?) said tickling wasn't a valid technique!" There's no tickling actually shown, no laughter of any sort, just sort of an implied gag really.

I don't have a scanner anyway so I didn't buy it. But in my opinion there's nothing worth seeing anyway, it's all verbal.

A shame actually. It was a promising scenario...

They need a few more of us in the mainstream industry...
 
Thank you for debunking this urban legend. Another situation where a tickling scene doesn't live up to it's reputation. When you hear "tickled into submission" you certainly expect a lot more.
I haven't been this dissappointed since I found out that Tara King was never actually tickle tortured by a midget with a feather duster on TV's Avengers.

These urban legends only serve to misbalance the status quo of the tickling universe. I feel the need to restore this status quo, so I will now go to my local strip club and tickle some unsuspecting beauty into total submission.
