Pictures? You're more likely to get a thousand words, man.
Why? The people attending have private lives. Many of them wouldn't show if they thought I was going to film 'em. No camera rules are default at West Coast Gatherings, and only with permission of every attendee will pictures be allowed.
In my experience, you won't find many that want their photos distributed. It's a private interest, y'know?
What happens, though, can be described easily enough. There's the basic description of a gathering - a calm house party with tickling involved. Most don't involve drinking on the West Coast Gatherings circuit, but some folks can't chill without, so other events, and some West Coast events now, do handle such. I can't personally dig the notion of anything messing with my sensations during such an event, and would rather suffer a toothache than miss a detail.
Picture showing to a house of someone you know online. Some attendees know one another. You're asked who you are, if you don't introduce yourself at the door. The room has people from all walks of life. One person's high up at a high tech company. Another's a musician. One's a successful photog. A mom. A teacher. All walks.
Conversation is amazingly easy. Everyone WANTS to talk, even the shy kids, 'cause it's clear from the gregarious conversations that folks can discuss "the topic".
Oddly, conversation goes to other topics soon enough. People get to where they want to know the others in the room. Personalities are seen.
Things are generally cool. Maybe there's one pill who snuck in somehow, but enough enjoyable folks exist to make it a good time, even as small as 6 people, or as large as 80.
Ultimately, the event's host calls for the attention of the room, West Coast style. Play demonstrations are arranged. The first 'lee is asked to describe what's off limits. The 'lee may describe requiring that no one touch anywhere sexual. The 'lee may say the bellybutton is off limits. Whatever that 'lee says is rule, for their play. Number of allowable 'lers is determined (some 'lees overwhelm, where others can't get enough fingers wiggling). Play begins, and the room is mesmerized. Heck, the house could burn down...
This goes on until all 'lees are sated, often well into the evening.
We in the WCG used to have a breakfast the next day. I think Jan got the notion from NEST, too, though I'm uncertain.
