It was 2 am in the morning and I couldn't sleep so I visited the chatroom. Jaymoney was in there and we got to discussing football. Now to give you a little background, Jay and I are both from Michigan. We are both very big football fans. Unfortunately, he is a fan of that OTHER Michigan team (maize and blue) whereas I am a big fan of the Michigan State Spartans (Go Green!). They play each other on October 1st. Of course there was alot of good-natured ribbing and we ended up discussing a bet for the game. We seriously agreed that if U of M wins he gets the honors of tickling me for as long as he wants. If Michigan State wins he takes me out to dinner :D. Either way should be a fun time.

I used to be a Jets season ticket holder, and I have had the honor of attending 2 Texas-Oklahoma games at the Cotton Bowl.....Sorry guys but Pro football can't even Begin to compare to a big college game. The fans arrived at neutral Dallas on Friday evening, and the one who won could stay until Sunday to celebrate....Great weekends. I'd go again in a nanosecond.

There was a story I once read that had one spouse tickled as one side had the ball, but once the was a change of possession then the other spouse got tickled. This went on throughout the game. Gets interesting when there is a fumble....

Hey you Yanks. What you play isn't proper *football* anyway. We English invented 'football'. As the name implies you have to kick it, not throw it around like fairies. That's hand-ball ..unless you are a goalie !!

What you play is a silly game Called 'Grid-iron' where your players are not even man enough to tackle without having to wear helmets and sissy padding !!

For a proper mans sport try *Rugby Union*. Same hits as Grid-iron but without the sissy helmets and often as not when you are lying on the ground the game doesn't stop like yours, so six or eight huge forwards will literally charge over you, pounding and trampling you into the ground trying to get the ball. Then after... its all forgotten and all in the pub for a beer or ten !! Now that's mans stuff !!

Recently, I discovered that a brush attachment off of my vacuum works wonders on ticklish feet. My GF has never laughed so hard as when I used this instrument. Perhaps you will find that a similar device will provoke Sultry into hysterics.

May I also suggest that you don't neglect the very tips of her toes. That's one of the worst places for my GF.

Also, nylons sometimes do make a woman's feet more ticklish. Perhaps you should keep a pair handy to do your own survey on this crucial matter.

I made some vague reference to a friend of mine in Ottawa about the way everyone's passion for their teams has engendered some -er- spirited team spirit on this forum. He told me that the "Renegades" are still on top in the East! So i'd say some of the teams you mentioned have some competition ahead of them. ;)

Going to be beautiful weather for the game - low 70s - and everyone here in the area are extremely hyped about the game. At work today we had a delivery from Fed Ex Freight. In the truck was probably about 5 pallets of gatorade drink bottles. I asked the driver if I was seeing that right and he said yeah that he was headed to the stadium. 1,000 bottles of gatorade 500 for each team. Of course MSU wont really need it cause I doubt they will even break a sweat. :D

Ahhh..The Big Game. My house is one of those divided for one day each year. My wife is a Michigan State Grade and I went to U of M. So tomorrow, I will have on my school jersey, she will have hers on, and our 8 year old son will be totally confused.

One thing I do have to say about this year though, (and I know I will be burned at the stake for saying this) But I think this year will be a State victory. They have such a kick ass team this year and U of M can't seem to get it together. I still love my team and wish them the best tomorrow.

2 things: I doubt Rugby Union players are paid the kind of money that NFL Football players are, so the NFL is protecting their investment with all the padding and helmets. Back in the day, when you see old black-and-white films of American football, the players had much less in the way of protection than they do now. There's huge money in college football as well (not for the players but for the schools) so they're protecting their investment as well.

Also, soccer and similar sports have never quite caught on in America because unless one or both of the teams suck ass, it's going to be a very low scoring game. This is the same reason that hockey still isn't as big as football basketball and baseball in America.
