Hey all,

It's that time again. :bouncybou :couch: Another Motown gathering! We are hosting another fun time on Oct 14-15. We plan to have a bbq/"munch" on Friday evening and tickle play on Saturday. There will be a $20 cost to be paid before arrival. This is to help with better planning for food. If anyone is interested, please send your requests to motownparty@hotmail.com. From here, we can keep you updated on all the party details. Or if anyone has particular questions, you can PM me. Can't wait to see all those who've come before and meet more new folks! Come and join our fun. :jester:

Happy tickles,
Sadira

I would like to go to the party. I am curious if anyone from the bay area is going as well so we can travel together, even if that means if we find a mutual airport to fly out of I can work with you :)

I just need to check on the ticket prices and get time off from work approved which should not be a problem. Originally I was not going to make it because my friend's wedding was that weekend. The good news is it is not that weekend. The bad news it is near the tail end of a show I am doing tech crew on for a theater group and I am already taking one weekend off for my brother's wedding as it is!

Sooo... the originator of Code Blue is most likely going east ;) for the first time in a very long time.

Hi there everybody...

Well I have sent in my request for the time off (should not be a problem) but I won't start making travel arrangements until that is approved. In the mean time I would like to address the issue of sharing a motel/hotel room. I think that's a grand idea. Gender isn't an issue for me whom I share it with. I haven't looked at room costs to see how much they are, but for those who have more of a budget let me know.

My next issue is one I need assistance on. My schedule will likely be to fly in on Thursday and arrive in the evening and then fly out on Sunday (or Monday depending on schedules). Looking at air fare rates there is a 40-50% price difference from going to the nearby airport vs. flying to Detroit directly from where I am at. I would like to know if anyone else is in the same boat as me? If so we could maybe arrange a local to pick us up, or if there were 3 or 4 of us we could share a rental car and drive to the party and then back to the airport and fly out.

Let us put our noodles together and figure this out eh? Feel free to leave a message for me here.

ticklkitten
08-30-2005, 02:45 AM
Gosh Bagelfather.... there are quite a few people who come from the Detroit area... maybe one of them could offer to pick you up? I know the airport that's near here is often pretty pricey. Another option is looking into flying into Flint. THey are sometimes more reasonable.

Wish I could be there to meet you!

It looks likely that I will be able to make this one once a few finances arranged. I just need to make a few more deposits and I should be set.

By some miracle of scheduling, it looks like I will be able to make it to another MTP! The way my business is I could still be called to work on a project on that weekend, but for now I'm free! I'm looking forward to seeing friends, old and new ones alike.

Yes. If you were to ask Ann Landers, Erma Bombeck or anybody that knows about protocal when giving parties and people are coming in from out of town, they will tell you that its the hosts' responsibility to make sure that they get to party and are taken care of. Please feel free to contact a party planner in your area. I am sure they would be happy to back me up.

09-27-2005, 11:44 PM
I have attended quite a few out of town gatherings and have also hosted a few gatherings, including the beach house last summer, and I would say Erma's rules work, maybe for the Kennedys or people out of Fred and Ginger movies. I agree hosts should provide info about local hotels and public transportations, but realistically speaking, most hosts are dealing with full-time jobs, families, other elements of their lives and just simply cannot function as travel coordinators too. I have always gotten myself to the gatherings with minimum help and all those flakey Californians got themselves to the beach house(a few Texans too) even without working wireless service. And remember this is not family party, where Uncle Mike can easily pick up Grandma, but an open tmf gathering where hosts have not even met some of the attendees before. And remember Ann Landers and Erma both pre-date the internet, which has made obtaining info so much easier.

This response is not meant to start a fight and for sure, any host that wants to take on that responsibility of getting me or anyone else to their party is free to do so, but please remember that most hosts (in fact all that I know) end up spending quite a bit of time and money in organizing these events. Expecting them to provide and/or coordinate taxi service, etc is an unreal expectation.

dvnc
09-28-2005, 08:36 AM
Do let me chime in.

Y'see, I've attended events across the US, as well as in England. Also hosted a couple events in California. Nowhere does anyone cater to all attendees. Good hearted hosts with the ability to do so will assist, but it's also "bad manners" to volunteer a host, if ya buy the Ann Landers-type deals.

Me? I figure that a body visiting someone can and should get themselves there if they can. If one can't, well, one can't. If a host, or another guest, can assist, swell, but there shouldn't be an obligation given to the person who's already doing the lionshare of screening, organizing and hosting of the event. YMMV.

Anyone who WANTS to host and drive in all their guests, though, is encouraged. ;)

I am not talking about everyone that is going to the gathering but people like Bagelfather who is flying in from out of state. So basically you all are saying its ok to tell him, sorry if you cant get a ride from the airport, your tough luck? This is nothing at all against our lovely host and hostess whom I am sure do a wonderful job and work very hard to make it happen. I was just trying to point out about common hospitality for people that you want to see and want to be at the party, especially if you want this gathering to grow as everyone says that they do. Being older, I dont care if this is the internet age. That does not mean that manners and hospitality need to be thrown out the window. People will remember when someone goes out of their way to make sure they are taken care of and will want to come back. That is just common sense. And why does it just pertain to rich people? Why cant it pertain to any human being? No matter where you are at.

sadira
09-28-2005, 05:33 PM
When a gathering is arranged, people are invited to come. If you can make it great. The hosts/hostesses assist you the best that they can. But are they expected to do everything? Maybe, I should collect everyone's gas receipt who shows up and reimburse them for that. Since that's out of their pockets. Hmmmm???? or the bus fares for those coming by bus?

Sultry, you don't know what arrangements were already started behind the scenes without the comment about who's duty was what. I'm also 2 hrs from the airport and as anyone here who has hosted one of these, it is VERY difficult to pull away on the day of the gathering for a moment or two. Let alone, a two hr drive to the airport, the parking and airport traffic, and the two hr drive home. It has nothing to do with BagelFather personally. I've taken care of his travel from the airport. I have attempted to help anyone who's asked at our previous gathering and will continue to do so with this one as well. And income levels have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with whom I help.

The whole thing just rubs a little the wrong way....my 2 cents worth.....

Maybe a little history here for some would help? Bagel, George, Sadira, Bellystrokes, me and a few other pals met for play this summer~knowing George and Sadira as I do, and how much they enjoyed Bagel's company when they visited here, they are very thrilled he's making the LONG trip to go see just them in particular. He may be bringing a pal or two and I wasn't the least bit worried they wouldn't take care of him (transportation-wise, accomodation-wise, etc) Maybe folks are taking things a little personally that weren't really intended to be that way? Just a thought, I hate to see my friends fight. I spent a lot of time on the phone with the last MTP gang and these are some amazing people~Can't we all just get along?? :( It's gonna be a heck of a party...

This was not the least bit fun. I am sorry I said anything. Sultry, I want you to know that you are always welcomed. Once you meet Sadira you will understand that she dots all of her I's and crosses all of her T's. We ( actually I ) was taken back a bit by the comments. But I was actually trying to have fun with you at the same time with the "Wow. Our duty??? :wow: " comment. I, in fact, was going to have more fun with the Ann Landers , Erma Bombeck comments but with all the things that have been said I do not believe right now is the right time to be funny. Please understand that we as hosts of this party and future parties will try to be helpful and assist in anyway we can. Bagelfather has already had arrangements through us as had K-Skate and Natural at our last gathering in June. We actually would do whatever it takes to help this grow so that we can ALL HAVE FUN. There is no purpose to this if we can't all have fun. So everyone please keep that in mind. If you need our help please ask for it. I guess I have rambled on enough but I want you to know that you are welcomed to the party as is anyone else who wants to come. My original comment was supposed to be a general comment. Not a specific one. I never doubted that you two wouldnt do what you could to make it a success and from the sounds of it actually understand what I was talking about. I actually have alot of respect and Ann Landers and Erma Bombeck. Two great ladies that are no longer with us unfortunately, but had great wisdom and common sense which seems to be lacking now days. My later comment was a response directed more towards the other two that posted. I apologize if it was taken as a direct insult. Not meant to be.

Yours is a good question, if you ask me, Sultry. A perspective for you - taking your example, NEST would be "socially required" to have a troop of airport shuttles, as you get several dozen fly ins.

Your example obligates the host and hostess, and in point of fact even Ann Landers doesn't do such for larger events. Now, if Bagelfather was visiting me up here, it would be the height of rude to say, "Just catch a cab. See you when you roll up to my lazy butt at my house."

Where an event is concerned, while the hosts are often incredibly kind and sociable, there's more than a guest, or even a couple of guests, rollin' in.

Lander's advice is also not applied correctly, as this set of hosts are no where NEAR the airport. When I visit my grandparents, I don't sass 'em for makin' me drive in. It's several hours from the 'port and would be beyond rude.

Landers also wouldn't encourage discussion of someone's social adequacies or inadequacies in such a public forum.

Likewise, no etiquette on this continent shows positives for volunteering someone else based on protocal not established.

Are gatherings common? Do you remember social events based on anything involving either tickling or bondage in your youth? Do you recall events in your youth, hosted in one person's home, with so many people showing from other locations. I remember larger homecomings, but while family did their level best, no one can cater to everyone's travel constraints. Able bodies handle themselves, as I did in my youth. Add the complication of these new social paradigms, and it gets muddy at best.

To answer your question concerning Bagelfather, though, I would think that my actions towards a long-distance visitor would tell that visitor of both my abilities in that scenario, and because of those, my care for their visit. If, for instance, host had children, that ALONE could pose complication enough to make clear that the Bagelfather would need to roll in of his own accord (part of why there are rental cars with deal for non-business travellers).

Personally, just READING this crew's dealings, I've no doubt everyone will be treated with kindness, given good welcome, and shown a splendid time.

I do hope you show to their event. Simply because some fellow modding an area has a different perspective is not a positive reason to spite yourself, or the friends you've clearly made. If you read my previous post to say this SHOULD have been the case, I apologize for the misunderstanding, and the inevitable poor feelings you'd have on that end. Was not only not the intent, it wouldn't serve this forum.

You are, of course, an adult with a mind of your own, and free to choose as you will. I just hope you consider your friends here before sweating what some old mod says. ;)

Another $0.02,

Dave

Not to start more trouble here (as we are suppose to all get along). I want to say that with my last post, I did not say thank you to Bellystrokes, DVNC and Steph for their input and for their actually defense of us. Please let it be known that we will do the best we can to make your time here with us enjoyable. While you are here you will be treated like you are part of the family.Only because that is the way Sadira and I choose to treat everyone. So if we can offer assistance we will. Not because of the last 5 to 7 posts but because that is the way we are. Anyone who knows us knows that. I am really sorry I forgot to thank those that came to our defense but it was late at night and I had just gotten home from working 15 hours helping friends out. So my brain was at that point on modified choke.:p

Another host here with an opinion. Aren't you people LUCKY!?

Hosts need to help and assist with the transportation - when I went to NEST in 2000, I had the most wonderful fortune in that QB Weaver was helping Max with such issues, and there were people in Philly willing to drive me to and from the airport, as well as sharing rides from the hotel. When I went to Albany to play, NJJen drove me around one day when my car got snowed in. In Cleveland, Kis picked me up and we hung out. It’s a very considerate kindness to invited guests.

As far a "duty", that’s a little different. Let me tell you about my experience with this.

Back in the early planning stages of our September event, I asked a woman in Odessa, TX if she’d like to come. “What a great idea!”, she thought. As long as I bought the airplane ticket. Oh, what a laugh I had! But no, she wasn’t joking. If I was inviting, she thought, I was providing transportation. Apparently my perverted tickling event was the Prom for her.

So - as a host… I’m making phone calls, sending out e-mails, setting up the rental of the play space (and willingly going into the red even with down payments because I foolishly think that it’s worth it for the people who attend these events), buying food, buying new toys, arranging transporation, getting hotel, rental car & map info to people, trying to calm the nerves of new attendees while trying to assure the more seasoned players that there will indeed be people there at their level of experience, cleaning house, following up with lazy invitees to see if they are or are not coming, buying food, physically setting up the play rooms, keeping track of payments, arranging any airport runs, making meal arrangements and carpool plans, sending out a reasonable list of house rules that will keep all my guests (of varying play experience) equally both SAFE and happily SATISFIED, meanwhile having to deal with the repeatedly-asked questions about the male/female ratio (Hey! If a single male attendee can’t bring ONE woman, how in the world am I supposed to find, like TEN???). All while dealing with being laid off from my job.

And I gotta buy this pumpkinhead’s plane ticket? So I ended up playing, and she ended up sitting home and cursing me. Reminds me of mom….

And there’s more - yes more! I had one invitee swear she was coming. She’d already done 2 gatherings in the last 12 months, so I had no reason to doubt her, and even arranged for her to bring me the door fee rather than sending it to me as required…. Madame Trust - the vile temptress with such pretty ways. This attendee made one more person, which brought in a few more interested guys, so I had to rent a bigger place. I had another guest, a single mom, coming in for the event, so I got them to be roommates to save them both $$, and now they would both be able to share a car. I even sent her estimated driving times.

Well…. a week before the gathering this person let me know that she couldn‘t afford the gas and could I help her out? Doll - I can’t afford the gathering! I just told her to get here and we’d work something out. 4 days before the event she cancelled completely. Her parents would kick her out of the house if she went (???) - unless I could “help” her with that, too. So now I’ve lost a fee I was counting on, lost a play partner, some of the expecting men & nervous women were now a little grumpy & mistrusting of me, and I had to do all of the driving. Meanwhile, the other out-of-town guest had to foot her entire room bill, unexpectedly & unprepared. So much for my duty to help my guests.

I’ve had friends get married in Jamaica and in Mexico, weddings done all up with party planners, and there was no one to help with transportation. The Mexican trip, you could get a discount, and had I asked if someone could pick me up I'm sure it would have been fine, but I understood that they were putting on an event that I was going to enjoy. MY part was to A). get there, and B). be civil & don't drop my pants. Weddings, graduations, a funeral, parties - all sorts of events, I have occasionally, in a carpool-type situation, been offered rides. Nothing absolute or guaranteed. And that’s that.

Bottom line - these events are not “normal” parties, and as such there is no general, normal etiquette for them. Hosts already have a lot going on and are doing many different things, where many people who have this interest do nothing. Suggestions are good. Demands are not. Assisting with transportation = kindness & friendship. As a required part of the process? Sacre bleu - non! Communicate. Talk about ride sharing with the host - beyond that, you can afford the airfare, you can afford a Checker. The host’s job is to host, the invitee’s job is to get where the host is - between the two, work it out.

So, as is often the case, you're all right.

No problemo. I moderate this rascal, 'member? ;)

Wait... we weren't getting along? Last I heard, adults that agree all the time are a myth, a fiction, a delightful dream that would dull the senses. Discussion with disagreement, debate, and other forums of constructive conversation is part of the reason for this fine forum!

Odd, thank you for your host's perspective. I hate steerin' folks in to contribute, and am always grateful when it ain't just me tryin' to inform. Much more useful when other old school hosts are present and accounting, y'know?

Ticklingfee4u, there's no worries, brer, and you're awful kind to reassure your guests of your civilities. Props to you, sir. I always hear such great stuff 'bout your events. More and more, I can see why!

Not to start more trouble here (as we are suppose to all get along). WHOA! WHOA...

Um okay let me clear up some confusion because there is a lot going on here that was not posted.

For starters my first post was:

I would like to go to the party. I am curious if anyone from the bay area is going as well so we can travel together, even if that means if we find a mutual airport to fly out of I can work with you

My next post was

My time off is approved, I'm going to buy airline tickets really soon becuase fuel prices are going sky high. If someone is coming into the airport in Detroit or can pick me up please email me ASAP.

So I never asked the hosts specifically to pick me up, nor did I demand it. I am sorry if anyone interpreted it that way. In fact I checked to make sure my roommate Januslazarous (sorry not Lazarus long) could go too. The hosts said YES, the reason being that if he and I were both going we could share a room AND rent a car to drive to Detroit because flying into Detroit saved us $150 a ticket.

This was between my roommate and I so I never posted online saying "hey lets all rent a car."

Our illustrious hosts said, as a personal favor to us, they would pick us up so long as we made it so it wouldn't be a problem.

Just so EVERYONE is clear on this.
1) We never asked the hosts to pick us up.
2) We never assumed they would have to do so.
3) I asked if anyone else was coming into Detroit so we could coordinate together. That being if someone else was flying in all of us could rent a vehicle and drive to Detroit.

We are both thrilled that they have made this very generous offer to us which was not expected. I fully expected to probably rent a car or take a bus which would still be cheaper than flying in directly.

I don't know how this got blown out of proportion. We were not expecting the hosts to do anything but host the gathering for us and to have fun.

Okay I feel better now :

YIKES...reading some of the previous posts makes me wonder what has gotten into everyone. What is supposed to be a pleasant gathering has turned into a brewhaha (pun slightly intended). I'll throw in my 2.5 cents worth by saying that Sadira and TF4F are two of the most gracious hosts you could ever hope to have for an event such as this. They open up their lovely home to strangers and spend the entire time making sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves. It saddens me to read some of the comments that preceded mine. In the somewhat immortal words of Rodney Alan Rippey (no, wait...that would be Rodney King...I always get those two mixed up)..."Can't we all just get along?"

And in case anyone cares to hear my opinion on the subject (probably nobody does, but here it is anyway)...I think that if you can afford to fly across country, I also think you should be able to find your way to the event from the airport. Avis doesn't try harder for nothing, you know...when I went to the June gathering, I took the ferry across Lake Michigan and rented a car on the other side. I didn't expect anyone to drive two hours to Muskegon to pick me up. But I was determined to live up to my prediction of none of the Michigan women being able to break me... (and of course, I did).

Having said that, it now appears that this whole mess was a big misunderstanding from the get-go and that all participants will, in fact, be able to get a ride from the airport. So, all's well that ends well.

As for Sultrybrunette, you said you might cancel. Just in case you follow through on that threat, and you're still looking for some tickle action, I know of a ferry that could get you over to this side of Lake Michigan. :wavingguy

IF I CAN CHIME IN HERE FOR AWHILE, I USUALLY DON'T CHAT OR RESPOND TO THESE THREADS SO PLEASE BE GENTLE! LOL. :) BUT I HAD FELT COMPELLED TO RESPOND AFTER READING ALL THE PREVIOUS THREADS REGARDING THE MOTOWN PARTY #8. NOW PLEASE KNOW THAT I AM NOT NEW TO THE TICKLING COMMUNITY, IN FACT I HAVE BEEN TO ALL THE MOTOWN TICKLE PARTIES, SO I GUESS THAT I CAN SAY FROM EXPERIENCE, THAT I ATTENDED THE LAST PARTY HOSTED BY TICKLING FEET4FUN & SADIRA AND MAY I SAY THAT I WAS VERY IMPRESSED FROM WHEN I WAS GREETED AT THE DOOR BY TICKLING FEET4FUN AND IMMEADIATELY AFTERWARDS I WAS GIVEN A PERSONAL TOUR OF THE ENTIRE HOUSE IN WHICH AT THAT TIME I FOUND THAT I WAS MORE COMFORTABLE OF MY SURROUNDINGS, THEN I WAS DIRECTED TOWARDS A TABLE THAT HAD A HUGE SPREAD OF COLD CUTS, BOTH POTATO AND MACARONI SALAD,SWEDISH MEATBALLS,CHIPS,VEGGIES & DIP AND HOMEMADE DESSERTS, THAT WERE PERSONALLY MADE FROM SADIRAS MOTHER, NOT TO MENTION THE HUGE SPREAD WHEN THEY OFFERED A BARBECUE THE DAY BEFORE. NOW I SAY ALL THAT TO SAY THIS, THAT I PERSONALLY KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE FROM THE LAST MOTOWN PARTY #7 THAT TICKLING FEET4FUN AND SADIRA INVEST ALOT OF THERE TIME AND MONEY INTO THESE EVENTS BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BUILD THIS TICKLING COMMUNITY AND OFFER A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE CLOSET TICKLERS AND TICKLEES TO COME OUT, {LIKE MYSELF BEFORE} AND HAVE A MEMORABLE TIME AND THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT THEY DON'T CARE IF THEY DON'T PROFIT MONEY FROM A PARTY, - {AND I'M SPEAKING FROM THE LAST PARTY WHEN PEOPLE SAID THEY WERE COMING AND DID NOT!} IN WHICH I MYSELF IS GRATEFUL THAT THEY EVEN WOULD CONSIDER HAVING, LET ALONE HOSTING ANOTHER PARTY 4 MONTHS LATER, IN WHICH I BELIEVE THAT TICKLING FEET 4 FUN & SADIRA MIGHT HAVE BEEN A LITTLE OFFENDED BY DEMANDS MADE, WHICH IS JUSIFIABLE BEING BECAUSE THEY HAVE WELCOMED US ONCE AGAIN IN THERE HOME, SO AS PREVIOUS LAST POSTS STATED, THAT "WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG" AND HAVE SOME TICKLING FUN! :) ISN'T THAT WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ALL ABOUT? LAUGHING & HAVING FUN! AND TO BE HONEST WITH YOU, IF I WAS A CURIOUS NEW COMER TO THE MOTOWN PARTIES AND SAW REGULAR TICKLE PARTY GOERS TALKING NEGATIVELY ABOUT THE TICKLING PARTY AND THE HOST, THEN I MORE THAN LIKELY WOULD NOT FEEL SAFE OR WELCOMED IN ATTENDING, IN WHICH THAT IS WHAT THEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR, IT MAKES SENSE BECAUSE PREVIOUS HOSTS CAN AGREE W/ ME THAT THEY WOULD MAYBE GET 40 RESPONSES AND ONLY 20 PEOPLE END UP SHOWING, I KNOW THIS FROM EXPERIENCE FROM MY FIRST TIME PLANNING ON ATTENDING A PARTY AND THAT IS WHY WE NEED TO SHOW OTHERS BY POSITIVE EXAMPLE THAT THERE VISIT WILL BE SAFE AND THEY WILL FEEL COMFORTABLE IN MEETING OTHER POSITIVE TICKLING ENTHUSIASTS LIKE OURSELVES.
IN CLOSING, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL FOR READING THIS LONG POST AND HOPE YOU ALL WILL UNDERSTAND WERE I AM COMING FROM IN THIS WHOLE MATTER AND I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY THANK TICKLING FEET4FUN & SADIRA FOR DECIDING TO HOST ANOTHER PARTY FOR ALL OF US AND ON A LAST NOTE I PERSONALLY AS WELL WANT TO WELCOME THOSE WHO ARE READING THIS POST THAT HAS NOT ATTENDED A TICKLING PARTY YET, BUT IS CURIOUS, PLEASE LET ME ASSURE YOU THAT THE HOSTS - TICKLING FEET4FUN & SADIRA WILL DEFINITELY DO EVERYTHING IN THERE MEANS TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU WILL FEEL WELCOMED AND COMFORTABLE IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT AS YOU WILL VIEW IN THE RULES OF THE PARTY. SO LETS ALL JUST HAVE SOME TICKLING FUN!!! :) <<<<---- SEE YOU ALL THERE... HAPPY TICKLING!!! :) <<<<----
RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED, - JBFTTICKLER :) <<<<----

Starfires and I are having a great time here at the gathering. Those of you who hemmed and hawed but coudln't bring yourself to come... it is your loss muahahhaa.

Great host and hostess (mmm hostess cake...) sorry Homer moment, as I was saying the hosts are great and have made sure we are fed with ample amounts of BBQ and drinks. Dtrell was working the grill I believe and made sure that we had meat and not hamburger shapped charcoal briquettes. Also Kitten kept going on and on about how she neve saw breasts that large before also.

Starfires and I came in on Thursday (a journey that will be retold in another post I later on) and have had fun ever since. Technically Natural started things off with Kitten on Thursday night. I am sure she instigated it somehow, yes it was the fact she was there that was the instigation. Oh thank you Natural for breaking the ice, we salute you.

Starfires and I are staying at the Double Tree Hotel. In all honesty if the rates are about the same and you have the finances I would go for the Doubletree for the gathering. It is about 8-12 blocks away, very comfy beds, they give you 5 pillows on each bed (don't ask why), a warm walnut chocolate chip cookie at check in, a hot tub, pool, gym access, internet access, the works. All for only $99 a night and between two people that is a bargain!

Okay that is my promotion of a business nature for the gathering. Also there is a flower store only 3 blocks away from the hotel. That's where we got flowers for some of the special friends. Shut up all the rest of you who are going to write now and say "what I'm not special enough" yeah you, shuddup... I got your yellow short bus of specialness right here ;)

Well the first night is over. The BBQ went over really well. In fact, 19 people showed up to the BBQ including 6 newbies. Yes there was some tickling but that should not surprise anyone. In fact, I heard the safe word used 6 or 7 times tonight ( not that we are counting :p ). It was a great afternoon and evening. We are winding down now as tomorrow is the big day ( actually it is later today. ) We are expecting at least 25 and maybe more. :D . So we will wrap up this weekend with lots of laughs. :couch: This might end up going down as the BEST Motown Party date but we will see. :D :bouncybou

Okay this was a great weekend. We had 32 sign up to say they were coming. Of those 32 that signed up 26 showed up. That is means that 81% of the people who said they would show actually did. :woot: Of the 26 that showed up 6 of them were newbies. :bouncybou :couch: Sadira and I would like to thank EVERYONE who showed up. We are REALLY HONORED to have had everyone of you in our home. It was lots of fun. To those that were new we hope you were not freaked out or scared off and hope you had a great time. To those of you that had been here before we hope you would be willing to come back again. :wavingguy
A quotable: Prinny strapped down to the massage table and in the stocks while being tickled saying " DIE!!! All of you will DIE. You are all dead." Yes it was that kind of party. I did not catch everything so check out what everyone has to say and again thanks for a great time and Sadira and I had a blast. :D

Me, telling the guys about gigglegal... "She has two feet... but four socks". I realize we were all a little bit beyond tipsy by that point but seriously, I cannot remember the last time I laughed SO hard.

But I am totally on the wrong track here. George and Sadira did an awesome job throwing this party. These two worked so hard and things really came together as planned.

Special thanks to Deuce for all of his hard work. Sorry that I'm a little stronger than you anticipated. At least you came prepared with tools not of the tickling variety. I'm STILL wondering what the maid must have thought of the hotel room. ;) I know I'll be giggling to myself for a long time to come thinking about the bottle opener in the bathroom. And a certain someone who kept getting locked in there. That hotel room holds a lot of memories for me. :D

I missed all but a tiny bit of the party and that was a real bummer for me. But from what I hear you guys had an amazing time. I'm so happy for you!

Okay, I could ramble forever but from what I was able to experience this was a very very good time. Good job host and hostess!!!

:Grrr: Kitten you are so going to get it the next time I see you..LOL That sock story was supposed to stay in the room. That was just too funny.

I had a great time at the Michigan party. It was so nice to see some old friends and meet new friends. Lots and lots of laughter all weekend long. I'm sure looking forward to the next party! Thanks Sadira and TF4F

Oh, Thank you Deuce for the x-frame. That was so very nice of you to spend the time and make that for me :)

Sounds like a blast kidz! (Does happy dance) I didn't make my customary phone appearance~I mostly stayed in bed feeling sorry for myself. Between Aunt Flo (yuck, I know sorry) and those damn hives which FINALLY went away after a friggin' WEEK, I just didn't feel like getting social. (I'm fine now.)

But I am VERY glad, sounds like a good time was had by all and a super turnout too~WOOO HOOOOOOOOOO! :happyfloa Way to go!
XOXO

Well as one of those 6 newbies to attend this party let me say George and Amy you 2 are the best I had a blast. I'm just going to repeat things mentioned before but you 2 go out of your way too make evryone feel at home and part of your family,as a newbie that really does help one to over come any nervousness one may have. I have your number and you and Amy will here from me time to just to say hi and see how your doing cause the way you make a person feel there you can't help but to leave there your new friend, so like it or not your now stuck with me :) but once again great job and I was so happy to meet both of you

Hello world!
Just got home from a cool party with lots of laughs, lots of food, and very dedicated hosts. In no particular order:
I was surprised by the intensity of the Michigan crowd, in tickling and other things.
Some devout fans spent the day watching basketball on TV, but that's ok -- it just means more tickles for the rest of us.
I am very proud of Prinny for outlasting us all, while telling us to die, DIE DIE DIE -- hopefully a screaming, thrashing, horrible death by tickling. (By the way, thank you for making sure I still have a head.)
When I locked myself in the bathroom and realized that the light didn't work and neither did the door handle (and this just seconds after a headboard came off the wall in my hands) I laughed harder than from any tickling I have ever received. (Come one come all and check out the splendid opulence of these fine accommodations, unlimited crack and unskilled sexual favors included in the price of admission coming soon to a Knights Inn near you.)

Thank you ticklingfeet4fu and Sadira for a wonderful party and the warm attention! I still can't believe you spent at least 18 man hours driving us around, amid all the other stuff you had to do.

Kitten now with building stocks and seeing them used I know more about them and I will go as far as saying if you give me one more change I'll make something up special just for you and I promise you won't escape this time. I just need to watch I don't make to many things and force George and Amy to move into a bigger house LOL, I hope the 3 of you enjoy the ones I made for you as much as I did making them.

I will post my story of the gathering soon. Yes I have to agree hanging out at the Knights Inn where Starfires went into the bathroom to see the bottle opener, closed the door (the light was broken) and then could not get out was hysterical. Also funny was the headboard that came off and thankfully Deuce had equipment handy to fix it. Oh yeah... dive does not even begin to describe that place.

I think your other funny moment was on Thursday when tklingfeet4fun and natural tickler were discussing working out and you said "I work out," we all turn to look at you in disbelief (starfires is very thin and wirey) and then you said "every couple of years just to see what I can do." I laughed so hard at that I had to call my roommate (who works out regularly) just to tell him that story (since he is a roommie of both of ours but not into the TMF thing at all).

Anyway... I think there were many moments where people laughed at stories and such without any touching going on. Thank you Professor and Sunset lady for listening to my story of my trip and helping me develop it as future material.

Okay more to come later when I have more time ;)

And of course it was funny mocking you..hahaha. ........Everybody take care keep into touch as usual.

i Will "try" To Be More Brief This Post, Than From My Last Post{sorry Guys!} - But Anyways Basically What I Want To Post Will Seem Simiular To What Everyone Else Has Commented After The Mtp 8 Was Over, For The Simple Fact That It's Becuz Everybody Did Have A Great Time, Especially Myself And My Girlfriend Katie (tkl Bunny) In Which It Was Her Very First Experience At A Tickling Gathering Ever! {"sorry Guys That She Was Not Ticklish The First Time"} Due To The Nervousness Of Her First Time, But I Want To Personally Thank You All For Not Pressuring Or Forcing Her Against Her Will And For Respecting Her Wishes, It Was Greatly Appreciated! :) And That Goes Along With And Brings Me To What I Basically Wanted To Post More Towards Those Others Who May Have Wanted To Attend But Were Not Sure Of What To Expect When You Got There {right}? Well Let Me Tell You From Personal Experience That My Girlfriend, Which Keep In Mind Was New To The Whole Tickling Thing And Was Curious To Attend For Her First Time And As I Stated Before, That She Was Nervous And Was Not Ticklish The First Time And Everyone Respected That And Made Her Feel Comfortable Afterwards, So I Will Say It Again To Those "closet Ticklees & Lers." {females Especially} Who Are Interested In Attending The Next Mtp 9 This May, However You Dont Know What To Expect Or You Feel That Everybody Is Just Going To Jump You As You Enter Through The Door And Strap You To A Table And Tickle Torture U Till U Pass Out, No!! -well Maybe If Somebody Requested That Lol. But That Is Not How It Is At All, That Is Why Sadira & Tf4f. Offer A Meet & Greet Barbeque The Day B 4 The Actual Tickle Party, So U Can Meet Everyone And Get To Know Them Better, B 4 They Jump U And Strap U Down & Tickle Torture U! Lol. Jk. :) No Seriously Though, That Is Not The Case At A Motown Tickle Party, I Should Know B Cuz I Have Been To Everyone Of Them And As I Stated B 4 That Everybody Is Respecful Where There Is Lee's & Ler's Or Just Those Who Just Want To Observe & Watch And There R Always Safe Words Given To Everyone Involved As Well As 4 Different Monitors That Are Alert And Assertive If Any Of The Rules R Broken, In Which In All The Mtp's I Have Been To, Not Once Did A Monitor Have 2 Escort Someone Out Due To Misbehavior And Thats B Cuz It Has Alot To Do With The Host's Involved, Who Read The Rules Before Hand, Just B Cuz They Want Everyone To Have A Fun But Safe Time, So U Would B Willing 2 Come Back. Now I Know That Are Mtp Gatherings R Growing In Record #'s However, There Should B No Reason Why All 45 People Who Respond By Email Saying That They R Going 2 Attend Should Not All B Present At The Party - W/ Some Exceptions Of Course - (our Apologies Agent X!) Anyways I Say All That To Say This Again About Our Gracious Hosts Sadira & Tf4f. You Will Not Find A More Hospitable Host Or Hostess As Them Both And I As Well As Them Would Assure You That You Will Feel Welcomed And Comfortable At The Next Mtp 9 They Will More Than Accomodate Your Every Need Whether It Be Directions,transportation,food/drink, Not 2 Mention Sleeping Accomodations, In Which They Generously Offered There Own Bedroom 4 Me And Katie 2 Stay The Night At So I Can't Say Enough About Them. However I Think I Did Post Enough Here And I Have 2 Sign Off 4 Now But Will Continue Again Later. :) Bye 4 Now Jbfttickler :)

SmileyThat was to make sure the newbies felt safe. I did not think they wanted to feel like they were being attacked by some of us. And I know us. We attack everything that is cute and ticklish. BTW, that is how Sadira and I got together. :p But thanks to you and Prinny coming here again last Saturday. It was fun. :couch:
