I caught an episode of Scientic American Frontiers "Lifes Little Questions II last Monday that should interst all on this forum. The first segment of the show talked about why we can't tickle ourselves. They interveiwed Christine Harris and discussed the tickle experiments she conducted in the past(with the mock tickle machine and the warm up affect). A college girl tickled a middle aged women in a test of the warm up affect and the same girl tickled Alan Aldas foot in the mock machine study (the latter I Did Not need to see). Anyway it was still cool that they even did a segment on our favorite topic. I think it originally aired back in Febuary and then again last week. Check the PBS website for the next airdate and a complete transcript of the episode along with questions answered by Harris about tickling and ticklishness.
