The Good Guys gathered in Freeport in early March to begin spring training. Hopefully, with the court case over, and contract issues settled, the team could have a quiet, peaceful spring, and a tranquil year, and focus on defending the World Championship they had won the year before.
After a decent spring, the team began the new season with a nine game homestand against the Mets, Braves, and Astros. Opening day was on a Monday afternoon in early April, and, after hoisting up the championship flag, the team got down to business. Kate Hudson pitched six shutout innings on that beautiful, windy, Monday, as the team came away with a 2-0 win. After a Gil Bellows 2-1 loss on Tuesday night, Charlize Theron took to the hill on Wednesday afternoon, and was magnificent, striking out ten in seven innings, in a 3-1 Paradise victory that gave the Good Guys a winning series in their first one of the year.
Thursday was an off day. As they often did early in the season, it was a day of rest, gambling, and relaxation to get reacquainted in familiar surroundings. Mitch and Naomi spent time making love early in the morning after their children left for school, and then spent the rest of the day with the team at the casino.
Atlanta came to town on Friday night. Neve Campbell gave a credible effort, and the Good Guys got some timely hits, to win 3-2. The team wasnt hitting much, but the pitching was excellent early in the year. On Saturday night, the fifth starter got bashed in a game the Good Guys were never really in, during a 6-0 loss in front of a chilly booing crowd. Kate Hudson took her second start of the year, against Atlanta's John Smoltz, in a marquee matchup, on a beautiful 80 degree Sunday, in front of a sellout. Both pitchers were at their best that day. Kate struck out thirteen Braves, and Smoltz fanned 14 Good Guys, including Mitch 4 times. Both starters were gone when the game was decided in the bottom of the eighth against the inconsistent Braves bullpen, in a 1-0 Good Guy win that was saved by Hilary Duff, who was back with the Good Guys that year, still considered as a rookie because she had only been a September callup the previous year.
The Astros invaded Paradise on Monday night for the final series of the homestand, before the Good Guys hit the road for the first time that year. Gil Bellows didnt have his good stuff that night, as the team got shut out again, for the second time in seven games, 4-0. Charlize Theron took the mound on Tuesday night, and pitched a fine ballgame, allowing but 2 runs in eight innings, as the Good Guys found some power that night, hitting three homeruns in a 5-2 Paradise triumph. A near sellout crowd showed up on a sunny, dry Wednesday before the team would pack for their first road trip of the year. Neve Campbell was that day's starter, and she pitched very well, allowing but one run in six innings, and combining with Naomi and Duff, in a 4-1 Good Guy win, that completed a six and three homestand. The team wasnt at it's sharpest, but the fine pitching was keeping them in ballgames, and enabling them to win so early in the year. With the team now reunited, they decided to hold their first Saturday night tickle party,at the fetish club, in dungeon. The featured lee was a young, beautiful woman with long blonde hair, named Laura, who was president of the casino that the team so often patronized. Although wealthy, she was also curious, and decided to try out being professional tickle team's first lee of the year. She was tied hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the dungeon club, in a black bra and panties, as third baseman Michael began the tickle on her neck with fingers, and the giggles began:HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! NO! Working down, catcher Barney attacked Laura's armpits with his fingers, and a feather, as the squeals continued, and the blonde thrashed some more:HEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHE! NOOOO! Finally, Mitch got the opportunity to tickle his favorite spot, Laura's beautiful, soft, mega ticklish bare feet. Mitch attacked Laura's feet with his fingers, a feather, ice, an electric toothbrush, and a pipe cleaner over her baby soft soles, and under, inbetween and around her toes. This drove Laura into oblivion! She wiggled her toes every which way, and squealed with uncontrollable laughter, begging for mercy!HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! OMG PLEASE NO MORE! I CANT TAKE IT!
