The Good Guys embarked on their California road trip. They lost two of three in both San Fransisco, and San Diego, and then won two of three in Los Angeles. They returned home on a Sunday night around midnight, and would have an off day on Monday, before beginning a nine game homestand.
When Mitch came home, Naomi was waiting at the door, in a short nightie. Mitch kissed her pensively:" How are you?" The Phillies came to town on Friday night. Neve Campbell pitched, and did wel, and she allowed one run into the eighth, in a 4-1 Paradise Island triumph. The fifth starter, usually horrible, kept the Good Guys in the game on Saturday, as the game went into extra innings, and was finally won by the Good Guys, 2-1. Kate Hudson went to the mound on Sunday in front of a matinee standing room only crowd. She was superb, striking out fourteen, and pitching into the ninth, in a 5-1 Good Guy victory.
The Reds entered Paradise on Monday night. Gil Bellows pitched, and atoned for his loss the previous week, by shutting out the Reds, 2-0. Charlize Theron followed him on Tuesday, and got hit hard, as the Good Guys lost, 4-3. Neve Campbell took the mound on Wednesday in front of a sellout, in the homestand's final game. She fired a fine game, striking out twelve, and lasting into the ninth, in a 5-3 Good Guy win that completed a fine seven and two homestand. On the field, things were rosy, and off field, Mitch and Naomi were in their counseling sessions, and working hard on their marriage.
