The best advice I can give is for really faint lines on a subject (muscle tone, shadows, etc.) use colour creatively. Not all lines require lines. :)
Hope that helps!

Hey Vexis. I'm going to school to be a professional artist...maybe I can help you. The line you speak of is part of the 6 pack or abdominal muscles, and tends to show up more prominently on athletic and slender women. The belly button is at the intersection of the 4 bottom abs. So it sits on 2 and has 4 above it. The line you speak of is a recession where the 2 vertical columns of abs meet, starting at the naval and extending to the ribcage. I think it's very sexy looking ;). Anyway...I think I can conger s/t up to post on the site durring Christmas break. It's easy to draw the human figure once you get the hang of how things fall into place.

For all anatomical questions, regarding comic drawing, I recommend a couple things:
1.Get a book on human anatomy that has lots of pics.
2. Also get a book called "Drawing Cutting-Edge Comics" and "How to Draw Great-Looking Comic Book Women", by Christopher Hart. Both have served me well. I still reference them often.
Happy tickle drawing!
