The Good Guys embarked on their first road trip of the year to New York, Atlanta, and Houston. Naomi was still seething about the forced tickle incident in the fetish club. Chicago came to Paradise on Friday night. Neve Campbell pitched, and won, going six strong innings, in a 6-3 win. A thunderstorm postponed Saturday night's game, and because of scheduling, the teams had to play a day-night doubleheader on Sunday, due to being featured on ESPN's game of the week. Gil Bellows pitched the 1pm day game, and lost, 2-1, but Kate Hudson salvaged the 8pm nightcap, firing a three hit shutout, in a 4-0 win.
St Louis was in town for the homestand's final series. Charlize Theron opened the series by firing a shutout in the Monday game, 3-0. The fifth starter, who had his turn skipped due to the rainout, gave a credible effort on Tuesday night, but lost, 3-2. Neve Campbell took the mound on Wednesday afternoon before a matinee sellout before the Good Guys headed to the midwest. She pitched one of her finest games in a Good Guy uniform, allowing but two hits into the ninth, as Hilary Duff finished off a 2-0 Good Guy win to complete an excellent seven and two homestand. Things were going well on the field, and off, after a rocky beginning on the night Mitch came home, the counseling sessions were helping again. There was tranquilty in Paradise as the team prepared to hit the road to the midwest.
As a makeup for the forced tickle at the club on the last homestand, Naomi agreed to be a good sport, and be the only featured lee at the Saturday tickle party.
