I've been willing to do a Flash animation... not any animation (I could use GIFs for that), but something interactive that might appeal for constructive time-wasting tickling fun!!! :jester:

There's a MINIMAL problem... I have the software and I can barely open the .exe thing without asking the pdf done manual first!!! :scared:

The biggest bump is that for making and interactive animation you NEED to know programming in Flash... thing that I don't quite use, even if I'm barely making the cut for C++ (as seen on college), Flash is something else...

If anyone can help me with the scripts, tell me what "button do I have to push to make this and that work", or plainly work completely the codes while I pop the art, could be the birth of something different.

I saw an animation done by a fan (maybe I could bring it NEXT TIME, DOH!!! I'm so-so...) that featured interactive body tickling that seemed sooo simple to do, that I figure even I could do it (WRONG!!!)... So, I've been looking forward to do one myself...

Please, let me know about any manuals and stuff for making interactive things in Flash!!! :triangle:

You need to know actionscripting, and there are plenty of books on the subject. Also I recommend saving your files as exe, with the swf content as flash 5, as most people havent upgraded to 7, much less 8. You can open the actions screen in flash using the f9 key. I usually make a seperate layer for all my event actions, and apply triggers using containers and objects instead of on particular instance. Its alot cleaner and you can change things around without reinventing the wheel. There are some good beginner tutorials on www.actionscript.org and www.flashkit.com.
I know it's quite a daunting task learning actionscript, and a flash movie will take atleast a month for a good 30secs-1 min of animation. The one I did for this site took about 3 months, and the one Im working on now will take about that long as well, so dont get discouraged. Oh and remeber a preloader because there is nothing worse than getting halfway through and having a stall, especially when the .puppetSound object will keep playing.

Thanks man!!! I'll start digging those tutorials right away.
There is SOOOO many things to be done by hand (artwork), that's fairly difficult to get it done in Flash too... but I'll give it my best shot.

It would be a bummer to ask more questions about how to do this and that, since I want to make this more and more interactive as I can possibly reach... I'd do wrong by revealing my intentions...

Belive... overall, I want to make a new experience in Flash MX!!! <<<<----
