My knowledge of the plot behind this anime is "It's got something to do with robots, right?". :idunno: Anywho, my ignorance notwithstanding, I've been told the characters names are Asuka (in red) and Rei (in white).

I, too, like snail shell don't get a whole idea of the "girls-huge robots and the end of the world" plotline of NGE, but the girls are cute and the idea magnificant.

The trick is that it makes you think it's about girls, giant robots and the end of the world -- but it actually isn't. =/ It is a confusing series for someone who hasn't seen it before, I know. The audio commentaries help.
