As some who know me are aware, I wasnt able to get online for 24 hrs, from Wenesday night, until last night, due to a screwed up Norton Antivirus download I received. I kept calling AOL and Norton repeatedly, and couldn't get through. Finally, late last night, I was able to connect with a very nice gentleman from AOL, who told me that I can manually disable my Norton to get online, and then re enable it once online. This morning, I got through to Norton, to learn the steps of the update needed, but the steps they gave me did not work.
I am going to be switching from AOL to Comcast high speed this Sunday, and while the technician is here, plan to ask him to help me with the update. Hopefully, all will be ironed out then, and I can fix this problem permanently.
Did any other forum members encounter this problem on Wednesday night? It was a tremendous inconvinence, but, fortunately, I was able to find a partial solution, that has me back online temporarially, and can hopefully fix the problem permanently on Sunday.

Ah yes, lovely windows updates. I bought me a new burner last summer for my pc. Worked like a charm until the last windows updates. Now, the burner only works when it feels like it. And have they bothered to fix it? Noooooo.

Bastards. :ignite:  :disgust: :sowrong: :ranty: :Grrr:

I think all these Windows Updates do nothing but slow down my computer.
