Well I guess the last negotiations finally drained him.
But then again he is 65 and has done a wonderful job since 1989 when he took over the league. The #1 sport in America, the most prosperous and the least ammount of strife and expanded the NFL to make it the model of what pro sports should be.

Tagliabue was awesome. He wasn't overbearing and a glory-hound. Plus, he seemed like a fairly level-headed and above all, fair-minded guy, unlike some commisioners...**cough cough** SELIG **hack wheeze**. It's a shame to see Paul go and I hope the guy that replaces him knows he has some damn big shoes to fill.

He seems like the only commisioner who doesn't look like a total sleaze. I hate bud selig and I don't mind stern but something about them I don't trust. They are just so selfish. Tagliabue will be missed and I hope whoever fills his shoes can do half the job and keep the NFL where it is.
