A friend of mine is a DJ for a radio station at his college. They host the “call in” sports show. You can call in and talk about any sport you want.
However, lately tons of people have been calling in and talking about wrestling (the WWE and all the extreme leagues, or whatever). My friend and his co-host aren’t big wrestling fans so they don’t really like when people call in about it, but as any college kid will tell you, wrestling is mega popular on college campuses.
So, they decided to ask their callers to stop calling in about wrestling. They said they want to talk about the “real” sports, like baseball and football. But, college kids being idiots (not all of them, mind you :) ) they just kept calling in and bringing up wrestling.
The hosts got fed up and said “Ok, from now on if you call in and talk about wrestling, we’re hanging up on you.”
Now all they get are phone calls like this:
Host: You’re on Sports Chat.
Caller: Yeah, I think the Colts have a chance this year to really…HOGAN RULES!! WRESTLEMANIA!!! WHOOO!! (click)
LOL :D
