The Good Guys embarked on their next road trip. They won two of three at Washington, before losing two of three at Philadelphia, and then again winning two of three in Cincinnatti. They returned home on a Sunday evening to begin a nine game homestand against the Mets, Braves, and Astros.
Kate Hudson had endured two rough starts on the road trip, but not as rough as she had been suffering. When the team returned home, they gave the ball to Kate in game one of the Mets series, against Pedro Martinez. That night, Kate found something, and pitched like the Kate of old. Before a sellout crowd of better than 50,000 on that Monday evening, Kate had her "A" game stuff for the first time in a long time. Using a 96 mile per hour fastball, and a vicious curve, Kate struck out all three batters in the first, and kept piling up the strikeouts, inning after inning. In the meantime, Martinez was matching her pitch for pitch, with one exception, he had yielded a third inning homerun, to give the Good Guys a 2-1 lead. Due to all the strikeouts, and the fact that Kate felt great, she kept pitching. The bullpen was up, but she wanted no relief help. When Kate went to the mound for the ninth inning, the crowd was standing, she had fourteen strikeouts. The pen was up, but she said she felt fine. Strikeout number fifteen came on the first batter. Then, an error on a slow hit ground ball. Sniderman went to the mound to ask Kate how she was, she nodded, said she felt fine, and wanted to finish. After she blew away another batter for strikeout number sixteen, she had one more batter to face. Two quick strikes were followed by two balls, and then, disaster struck. Kate threw a pitch that she knew was trouble when it left her hand. The pitch was hit high, and deep to right field. Mitch tracked it, made a leap at the wall, but couldnt catch it! It was a homerun, and it gave the Mets a 3-2 lead! The Mets stood jovial in their dugout, as Sniderman came out to get Kate. The crowd who had booed Kate so soundly, now stood and gave her a standing ovation for her effort. The Good Guys finished the inning, went down in the bottom of the ninth, and Kate was on the hook for a bitter, 3-2 loss. In the clubhouse, the stunned Good Guy ballclub spoke to the media, and then, Kate sat by her locker, and cried hysterically, that her incredible effort that night did not result in a win. Her teammates, stunned at the loss for both her and themselves, tried to be consoling. "You pitched an incredible game tonight, keep pitching like that, this team is gonna win a lot of ballgames. We have to take that away from this game, move on, and try to win tomorrow" Mitch told her.
The next morning, newspapers and tv were all over the place, showing Kate's unfathomable game. Some critics said Sniderman should have brought in Duff to start the ninth, but in his defense, he had a pitcher at her top notch form, who said she felt fine, so he went with his ace, and it didnt pay off.
The next night, in more routine fashion, Gil Bellows scattered six hits over seven innings, to come away with a 5-2 win. On Wednesday, Charlize left a 2-2 tie after seven, and also came home victorious, 6-3, as the team scored four runs in the seventh.
Thursday was an off day. The team held a light workout, and scouting meeting in the morning, to prepare for their series with the Braves, and then headed to the casino, and lunch.
Atlanta came to town on Friday night. Neve Campbell took the hill, and fared well, scattering five hits over six plus innings, as the team hit two homers, in a 6-4 triumph. The fifth starter took his usual battering on Saturday night. Then, on Sunday, another marquee matchup occurred on a magnificent day for baseball. It was Kate Hudson for Paradise, vs John Smoltz of the Braves. Both were at their best that day. Kate, energized by her performance against the Mets, looked like her old self, fanning eleven in seven innings. She departed, having thrown 110 tiresome pitches after seven. The pen did okay in the eighth, and then, in the ninth, Duff came in, with a 4-2 lead. Kate thought she might be three outs from a win. Then, more trouble struck. A base hit was followed by an error. After Duff got two outs, Atlanta's Chipper Jones came up, and hit a booming fly ball to right field. Mitch tracked it, it was up, up, headed over the wall, and then,... Mitch jumped up, pulled it back, and saved the game, and the win for Kate, as the Good Guys had a 4-2 win over Atlanta! An ecstatic Good Guy team mobbed Duff at the mound, and a thrilled Kate Hudson spoke to the media after the game: "Well, my losing streak is over. I have to feel good for both myself, and the team, that I pitched two good games in a row, deserving to win one, and getting a break in the other, to at least get the W. Hopefully, with these last two starts, I can pitch like the Kate Hudson of old" Kate said, trying to sound confident, but not cocky.
The Good Guys had one more series to play, before the team headed out on the road again. The Astros came to town on Monday night. Gil Bellows started, and fared very well, allowing but one run in six innings, to combine with his bullpen, and come away with a 4-1 win. After the bullpen coughed up a lead for Charlize on Tuesday night, to lose, 5-4, the team played the homestand's final game on Wednesday afternoon under cloudless skies. Neve Campbell was on the hill, and she did well, allowing two runs in six innings, and left tied, 2-2 in the sixth. The game stayed that way until the eighth inning, when Mitch came up, and delivered a three run homerun, to give the Good Guys a lead they would never relinquish, as the team came away with a 5-3 triumph, to complete a six and three homestand. Most importantly, Hudson looked like she was back on track, and, as the team headed for the trip to New York, Atlanta, and Houston, it looked as if Kate was the feared Kate of old again.
In the meantime, the team held it's tickle party. The party was held on Sunday night that week. The featured lee, scheduled to be punished for nearly blowing Kate's comeback win that day, would be closer Hilary Duff. Two hard assed female doms entered the club, as Duff was picked up by two male teammates, dragged to the middle of the club, tied up hands and feet to a bamboo table, and stripped to her bra and panties. Duff protested:" Hey, what the hell did I do to deserve this? No one said Iam being tickled tonight!" Hilary argued. Kate came over to Duff with an evil grin. "Mitch catching that ball today is the only reason I got a win. You almost screwed up my first win in months, my lady, and for that, you need to be punished" Kate said, grinning. With that, Kate began the proceedings by running her fingers on Hilary's neck, as Hilary's head shifted from side to side, and the giggles began:HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! OMG NO! Moving down, Naomi was next, attacking Hilary's underarms, one hand with her fingers, and the other stroking them with a feather, as Hilary squealed, and bucked at her restraints:HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! OMG THAT TICKLES! NOOOO! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Amanda Bynes followed, running her fingers down Hilary's sides, along her belly, and in her ribs, as Hilary thrashed, and squealed some more:HEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! OMG THIS IS SOO NOT FAIR! NOOOOO! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Second baseman Russell then began the tickling for the men, running his fingers in Hilary's waist, her inner thighs, and behind her knees, causing her to buck, and jerk her knees. Finally, Mitch got to his favorite spot, the soles of her bare feet. Mitch and center fielder Ed Burns each took a foot, and then proceeded to attack Duff's bare soles with their fingers, big goose feathers, ice, and electric toothbrushes all over Duff's soles and toes. Duff went ballistic, wiggling her toes every which way, and squealing with excrutiating laughter, begging for mercy: EHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! OMG PLEASEE NOOOO MORE! I GIVE UP! NO PLEASE NO! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! As if Duff wasn't already exhausted enough, the tickling didnt stop there. The doms, after watching from the sides, each decided to give Duff a timed five minute tickle punishment on each foot. with each one of the doms taking position at her feet, they both tickled her one at a time, and then together, until she was nearly passed out with laughter! Finally, the tickle ended, and Hilary was untied.
So, it had been a very productive homestand for the Good Guys. They had won a lot of games, and most important, their ace was again pitching well. Now came the road test. What would happen next? Would Kate continue her good work on the road? Stay tuned for the continuing story of the Tickle Team from Paradise Island.

Great story, nice to see that things are back to normal for the Good Guys. I look forward to the next one.

Thank you, happy, your praise is appreciated as always. I am going to be a bit busy with real baseball, (Mets V Braves), the next couple of days, so it might be a few days before I get a chance to write another story, but, I will surely post one later this week, as soon as possible. As you know, stay tuned.

Mitch
