Oh yeah, Congrats TJ.
Even though my heart goes out to another team, I always wished the Cubs could win one. Always wanted to watch a day game at Wrigley.
As long as my team isn't in it, I'll be routing for ya...if you tell me who you are on the team, when you make it there.
Good luck

Just a few questions. So u went first round by the cubs? Cuz i read yer profile and u stated clemson and the only player taken from clemson was first rounder Tyler Colvin, outfielder.
If so, congrats and hope u get traded to a better franchise IMO. Andy McPhail(FAIL) has no clue what he is doing and the franchise is apathetic as are the majority of the fans. Maybe u can get moved to the better franchise a few miles south of the urinal, aka wrigley. We currently have a gap for young outfielders with talent, we got the infield covered tho
btw, nice music choice for your intro page at college

Apathetic fans?
What the hell should I do? Cry my eyes out every year when we don't win? Jump on the bandwagon and start rooting for the team that does? Shoot people because they're not a Cubs fan?
Like I give a fuck. It's just a game.
I agree with you on the apathetic players. If it was my job to win, I'd definitely want to do everything in my power to do so, but since it's not, I think I'll just get on with my life...

It must be all of those fumes from Nascar Lk70. I actually thought the Qb in his screename meant quarterback at first. Congratulations Airport and you're better off in Baseball anyways the careers are longer with less chance of injury and especially playing at Wrigley. It really extended Andre Dawson's career (P.S. remember I'm originally a Montrealer). :Hyrdrogen

Um no, you should not attend or give them money, show your anger at how the team u support is failing. Hell, its what the sox did and now they are a perreneal playoff team in the making. And with comments like that with "its just a game" shows u arent even a sportsfan so why would u even care what the cubs do? Just doing the group thing and siding with the city fave?

Heh i actually thought the same too, cuz it was in the disucssion and not sports thread. People tend to think that or football cuz nhl and baseball are low watched drafts cuz there is no main media focus.

Well count me out as a "serious sports fan" then.
I like the Cubs. I like watching them play. I like going to their games.
But no, I'm not going to base my life on them or get seriously angry over the fact that they lose all the time.
I have better things to waste my energy on.
It is only America's "pastime" after all.
I don't understand people who take it so seriously.

Why do people take listening music or anything seriously, its because its a part of your life

Its called using popular culture to use a point\make an example of the general societal feel of something, maybe u should try it\experience it
Good luck against tech, they are a good slugging team but slow on the bases so that shouldnt be a problem just watch out for wieters, i have falled out of college ball news but im not sure if he's still fieldin or doin that and pitchin but he is a hittin force to respect

hate to bring everyone down but it looks like this guy is a fake. I was bored did my research and the only Clemson Tiger player drafted by the Cubs was Tyler Colvin. His birthday is Sept. 5, 1985 but this impostor says his bday is April 12th, 1986. It looks like we have been fooled.

Mel i addressed my concern issue as well, but your statement about name. It is not hard to do a search for those who do not follow baseball as closely as me. The cubs only drafted two people from "clemson", clemson which is the first uni and then clemson U which is a diff college all together. Hell i could say i was drafted by the pittsburg pirates in the 53rd round of the 96 draft and now play for a certain chicago team. It wouldnt take much effort to realize who i was

I've known airport for over a year. We've been in touch on and off TMF during that time and have even talked over the phone. I'm not sure why the birthdays don't match-I can't explain that. But what I can tell you, that if he said he got drafted, he got drafted plain and simple! I'm sure when he has a little time away from the college games he can address the discrepency. Anyone thought the paper got his DOB wrong? No, they're the media and would NEVER report incorrect information........ :illogical Maybe he changed the information in an attempt to protect his privacy (which is simply just unattainable in cyberspace anymore).
If I were him, I would've shared my success with the few people I trusted, I never would've gone public with it on this forum! Too many chances for him to be "outed" and it has potential to damage his career. But I'm not him and he can do whatever he wants.
And it's not a great idea to post his full name on this forum either. I personally would've made an effort to protect his privacy around here by PM'ing him the information you wanted clarified. It could deter others from sharing their good fortune here someday.

i'm sorry, i'm not a cubs fan...even though I do like them more than the white sox right now, for not beating the rangers and helping my team out, grrr at them, losing 8 to 0 in the last game. Well, um, if you get traded to the Oakland Athletics, then let me know, lol, hook me up with some autographs of my team :p But eeven though it's the cubs, congrats anyways, it's not that easy to get in pro sports so congrats and good luck.
