Florida Gathering?

I know there is interest in having a Florida Gathering, but nobody seems to know how to start one, where to have, how to run it etc Just trying to see if there still are enough people interested to actually have one in Florida. Anybody?

If you provide a location, and administrate the event, you can get folks out. We've done it in many locations. California has three locations lively. If we can, you can. ;)

Hi Folks,
I've been mentioning my interest in being involved in a Florida Gathering in some of my NEST threads. However, no one has shown an interest as of yet. I think that if we have it in the winter when things are slower up north, we will get more out of State guests. It's great to escape the cold and get some tickling in as well. Orlando sounds good, it is very central. I of course would prefer Fort Lauderdale but maybe later as it gains popularity. Orlando does have an abundance of clean and reasonable hotels. If anyone needs help in organizing one just let me know. If it happens sooner all the better but I feel that the winter would be great.

I think by the time you get everything planned and reserached, it would be winter anyway. Plus, you'd want time to let the word spread, and for people to make plans. So, I agree that the winter would be a good time. Central Florida is a good location. You can service a lot of Florida without a lot of drive time.
Definitely count me in. Anyway, I think Florida is good because all of this heat really seems to bring out the ticklishness. I have met about 20 women down here in three weeks, and every one said their feet were ticklish.

Its a great idea to have one in FL, we could start by participating a little more so we know about how many people we have interested in FL, how many females and males and where it would be the best place to do it. Orlando seems a good place.
Lets try to count how many people interested in a gathering we have in FL, how many lees and lers so we can plan what kind of activities we could put together. Any female lers with nice long nails for tickling?

As far as we know there is no gathrring planned as yet.
Also, just because there are only men answering this thread doesn't mean there will not be any females attending (IF a gathering is ever going to be done).

Just an observation, gentlemen - women will show. There've been women mentioning their interest from your section of the country for years. They'll also not likely announce such here, as there's a tendency to flood their PM box with "wanna" messages.

If you HOST one of these, you'll hear from a couple of 'em. Once you've actually done one, and women mention having attended, you'll get more.

Gotta do the first event, though, even if only a munch to meet one another and socialize.

I was just in Orlando a couple weeks ago and it was much more reasonable to rent a house than a hotel. You can find 5 bedroom houses for like 185.00 a night... split that up and its quite affordable. Most of them have pools and hot tubs too. Go to VRBO.com and check it out....

I think it depends on how many people are on Tampa & how many are in the other areas of Florida.
For me it doesn't matter. Orlando is a little over an hour away so I would have no problem driving there.

I'm moving to Melbourne,Florida and I;d like to get a Florida munch /then the possibility of playing privately after the munch for those people who are comfortable someplace like a hotel and my choice would be in Orlando as that isn;t too far away ,just a place to hang out,have lunch,driinks and get acquainted at like Applebee's would be good. I live in florida, orlando. Also heading out the Nest, and a tickle gathering with people who actaully live close by would be a great chance to actaully... uh.. meet those who live close by lol.

Since we have a time, the best thing to do is find a hotel that would be interested in holding a gathering event.

OR, we can go simpler and just have everyone shack up in the same hotel and just use the rooms for the gatherings.

Last choice would be to find a facility somewhere that caters parties, and run with that. If enough people are coming (And from the many posts I gather there are) We can easily cut the prices down between everyone and make it cheap enough for everyone to manage.

As far as other expenses, like food, drink, travel... buddy up, and/or bring your own food/drink. If everyone brings a bit, we might have enough.

Other concern was if/how many women would show to make it an equal gathering. I'm sure women will show if we put down the info, but if someone trusted can, the gals can PM that person so someone has all the info to keep things organized and together, and make sure the gathering is... uhm... balanced.

That's my two cents! Oh, I read somewhere someone had a list of who is what. I'm a male, mostly a ler, but enjoys leeing too. So put me for both, and, as I put in the begining of the post, I'm in Orlando.

June 6th through the 8th sounds good. Also, for the people who have to travel, hotels are now cheaper on the beach this time of year. I am partial to St. Pete Beach because I live in north Pinellas County. Realisitically though, it is very easy for all residents to get around Florida, unless you are Tallahassee west or Fort Lauderdale south. I do agree that there needs to be some way to track male to female ratio, less this becomes a sausage fest. Also, an online meet and greet of some kind prior to the gathering may make everyone a little more comfortable about attending.

To some extent, we really do need to coordinate a ratio, but that might also mean restricting our numbers some. A slippery slope I'm sure. Otherwise, I really think we should have things set up in Orlando. Orlando is almost the center of Florida, so everyone in FL can get there easily enough.

Those traveling here, the Orlando International Airport is close by to tons of places to stay and go, and from there, going to any beach is essentially about 1-3hr trip, depending on the beach.

As far as the online meet and greet, if we can set up a private room, time and place like they did for the Newbie chat room, that would be perfect. We can set it up a few times so everyone who is interested can get in and....there you go.

So... anyone else interested in being the organizer lead head dealy... person? Push comes to shove, Ill try my hand at it, though...

You remembered correctly, man. It's a munch. A social event in a public location where food's available and seating is casual (so folks can come and go).

Find something iconic (a toy or other object) to stick on the table if none of you show faces here. Make it easy to find you. Meet in this public place. Hang out. Mind ya, with this one, mentionin' Bella is gonna be there will give a visual. Likewise Tortuga. Both have their beautious mugs all over this board.

So pleased to have Florida organizin' again. There's a mess of ticklephiles there.
