I figured that it was about time I started posting to this darn Archive.

This is a portrait of an old girl friend and I do mean old. I actually can't remember exactly when this was painted because I never dated the piece, but if I am not mistaken Regan was in office.

This is pretty old school. It was executed in airbrush and pastel. You can almost smell the mold on this one.

This piece appeared in Leg Show. I sent my work in to inquire about commissions and I recieved a very gracious response from Dian Hanson, the editor. She printed a page of some of my work and gave me a glowing endorsement. I then became a regular contributor. At the time it seemed like she begrudgingly included tickling content in the magazine and she seemed to look down on those of us who think that female feet were put on this earth to tickle.

She did however commission several tickling pieces for the mag and a couple of foot fetish pieces. She is one of the most demanding editors I have ever worked with. :whip: But I am very greatful for the exposure and endorsement that she gave my work.

As I scan some of my old work I will try to include some of the Leg Show work. The actual paintings are too big to scan but I will try to scan the printed pieces and clean them up.

:ermm: ...what's wrong with the second toe being longer than the first one?

She's not saying it's wrong. She's saying that other then that, they look like her feet.

Every image is so extraordinarily vivid, in color or otherwise, each is "larger than life," astronomical stuff!! :atom:
Ok, just re-stating the obvious here....

OIC, my bad...should have paid closer attention! My apologies, I wasn't being defensive or anything, just curious because my second toes are longer, and a buddy of mine just pointed that out recently, stating that that was "freaky". I misread this because of that, I guess. But hey, if the legendary BAC likes longer second toes enough to take the time to immortalize 'em, I guess I shouldn't stress about it... :cool2: LOL

Believe it or not, it's called "Celtic toe" and is supposed to be an indication of having Celtic blood.

It's accurate in my case!

Really? I always heard that it means you're a good swimmer.

While my mom's toes go in that perfect semi-circle, my dad's 2nd toe is nearly a half-inch longer then his first. And you have to get really, REALLY close to see, but my 2nd toe is like a hair's breath longer then my first.

This is amazing detail and realism. Astoundingly well done. Did you use a reference photo of her feet, or live modeling?

Thanks for the compliment.

Whenever possible, I like to use a little of both. Drawing from photos is great, but I usually use more that one photo reference. Using more than one photo keeps it from being a mere tracing. I use specific features from select photos to capture color and contour details, like the shape of the nails, wrinkled soles and toe clevage. (...these are a few of my favorite things...)

I also like to draw from life, but I use life drawing more for composition and lighting. The model posed for the sketches for this one, and I shot photography for the detail during the same sitting. (...laying...whatever.)
