Long Island, NY Gathering (interest)

Hello All,

I'd like to guage the actual interest of my peer's willingness to attend a LI Gathering hosted by yours truly.

My goal is to have this gathering within the next three to four months. It would most likely take place in a professional Dungeon for a few hours where we would have privacy and equipment available to us.

There's also a nice life-style supportive restaurant nearby that we may possibly make arrangements with.

Obviously there would be a charge for attending (to offset the cost of renting Dungeon space and the use of equipment).

I'm just curious to know how many tickle fans would be interested in attending a gathering here on LI.

Far out. There's greater than 30 in your area. There've been several starts at a Long Island event, with folks from the Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx showing interest, as well as a few from Jersey and Connecticut. I still have Gary's email address (one of the folks who started to consider the last one) and can ask him if he still has the contact list for the previous folks.

I am also known as Double T, and would be very interested indeed in a gathering in Long Island. Being somewhat disabled, I cannot travel great distances (Albany, Memphis, et. al ), But, perhaps with some assistance, I could make a genuine effort to attend one here, which, by the way, I would dearly love to do. I hope interest makes it worthwhile. The only drawback would be, you may not see lite all weekend!:devil:

Glad to see there is some interest brewing! I just wanted to let you all know that I do check this thread every couple of days so don't be afraid to post any other comments or suggestions.

NEST, the so called Granddaddy or SuperBowl of all gatherings is held once or twice a year in Philly including one this May 5th.

My Hyenas Club has Several gatherings a year.
The opportunities are there.

Heck, the MidWest NEST is only over in Columbus, Ohio, too. 'Tween that, and NEST, and SuperBowl, and the Hyena's Den, you've a lot goin' on without travelin' far at all.

Oh, and lest I forget, Mia was makin' mention of somethin' in or near Long Island. That area's been wantin' an event for years.

I'm definitly up for a gathering. I've only been too 2 NEST gatherings when I used to go to college in Philly but that was years ago it seems. I've been thinking of starting a Long Island specific Tickling Forum on my page. Any comments? (by the way, yes I know the image galleries are being really bitchy....I still have a lot of bugs to work out...)

I'm sorry that I didn't have a chance to talk to you at last Sunday's NEST. I found myself busy checking passwords and making sure that everything was running smoothly. Thanks to Mark, I was able to get a little play time! I have been wanting to have a gathering on L.I. for the longest time. I couldn't locate a good place to hold it, but I had a lot of interest from fellow ticklephiles. I had even named it, "LITA" (Long Island Tickling Association). It wasn't long after that that Max and I decided to try it in Philly and the rest is history! Consider me willing and ready to help out in any way I can.

Hello there Mia. My name is JR and I am an inexperienced tickler in NYC. I attended the NYST last week and had a blast. Any gathering in the Tri-state area, I am interested in. Your Dungeon theory sounds great. Your replies are very encouraging, I for one am all for one in the big City. I even suggested one be here in Manhattan's Village, a while back. There wasn't enough space, or any hotels in the area to host it. So "BOING!"; went that idea. Your gathering in L.I. is just the ticket for us city dwellers. Go for it!!!

So many in the NY area... events already jumpin' in Albany and elsewhere... when will you islanders find a place to hold this much-needed event? Here's hopin' you find it soon. It's years in the wanting. From back in AMT in '98, in fact. I love it that Google makes it so easy to find.

All ya need, folks, is a place to host it. There are experienced hosts in your area to assist. Heck, I'm bettin' that if you provided one room anywhere on the island, you'd have a bevy of said folk helpin', in addition to the lovely and talented Mistress Mia.

Mind ya, I could be wrong, but it's EASY to figure out. Just gotta find ONE of you that knows SOMEWHERE that has a borrowable, rentable, or otherwise obtainable room and some folding chairs. The requirements for a gatherings aren't so large. A room, with chairs. Double bonus if such is clean and comfortable.

Where to tie a volunteer? Rent a massage table. Find one of you with a truck to bring a futon frame and pad, or a table and a pillow, etc.

If you need assistance conceivin' of such, mail me. I can give you a dozen or more potential second opinions to mine, too. You folks are so close to such an event...

...just gotta have one person come forward with a location. A home. A hotel, motel or inn. A hall. Any meeting room. Do this, and LIST will occur. Many of us will help this to happen. I'd run your mailing list myself if it got you folks past waitin'. Just need a space. Solves a 5 year quest for a Long Island Gathering.

In Hempstead theree's a few motels that you could use. We even have the Marriott right next to the Nassau Coliseum. There's a lot of little motels around in Hempstead. Someone should check it out.

Hello All,

The get-together is going to be MUNCH style. That means that we will meet at a public venue, such as a restaurant or diner. There may be a possibility of play-time for those that want to participate. I'm still working on the latter.

The MUNCH will be on Sat, March 29th, time will be determined later. However, it will be in the afternoon time. The meeting place will be on Long Island and most likely in the Farmingdale or near Farmingdale area(someplace easily accessable from a LIRR station).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Those of you that are interested, please email me at mistressmia1@hotmail.com In the subject line you must write Gathering or Tickling, otherwise it will be deleted along with the junk mail that I receive daily. Merely, responding to this thread will not get you on the guest list. You must email me.

Included in the email in need the following general info:
1) Valid email address (that you actually check periodically)
2) How many guests including yourself.
3) How many female/male

Reserve this date on your calendar! More details about the MUNCH will follow as we get closer to the event date. Those that are on the guest list will be emailed the actual location with pertinent info.
