California Roads, Another Cyber Bombshell, And, Unmercifully, The End?

The Good Guys, with Mitch feeling extremely unsettled, took off on their next road trip. The team went but four and five on the trip, as Mitch was in an extended slump. They started by losing two of three in San Fransisco, before winning two of three in San Diego, and again losing two of three in Los Angeles. They returned home, on a Sunday night, to begin a nine game homestand, that would wrap up the first segment of their season's schedule.
During the road trip, the troubles between Mitch and Naomi escalated. Their fighting had deteriorated to such a level, that all the beneath the surface troubles came out. Mitch was becoming weary of his wife holding back favors to punish him, and lobbied for her to reinstate her cyber tickling, and webcam shows, that he loved so much, while he was on the road. Naomi firmly refused, stating that he would get none of that, until he "fixed" everything, in her estimation.
When Mitch arrived home in Paradise, at 1 am on Monday Morning, Naomi was awake. She peered her head from behind the bedroom door, dressed in a sexy nightgown, and said:" See this, mister? Well, it's as close as you're getting to it, because, I'm not giving you any of it" She taunted. "I dont want any of it, you can keep it. Fuck you, you bitch!" Mitch seethed. "I hope you enjoy the guest room, or the sofa, because those are yours for the rest of the homestand, you bastard!" Naomi shot back. Just then, the couple's oldest daughter, Erin, came out from her room:" Okay, you know what, can you two either keep it down, or, why doesnt one of you just leave, maybe for good, so this family can finally have some peace" Erin said. "Erin, this is still our house, and we will fight if we want" Naomi snapped. "Fine, go fight, do anything but beat each other up, or kill each other, whatever, just please keep it down. Some of us want to sleep" Erin said, going back to her room.
Finally, the bickering did die down, as Mitch went to the guest room, and Naomi back to the couple's bedroom. It would prove to be the beginning of a long, and bitter homestand.
The next day, Mitch rose early, and got dressed. "I am going to the casino. I'll be gone most of the day. I will see you at the ballpark tonight" Mitch said. "Dont you dare spend all the money in our joint account, mister, that money is for our needs, and some of it is mine" Naomi charged. "I am not touching any of the money in your precious joint account. I am taking $1000 from my own money. I just want to go somewhere, and blow off some steam,, instead of being here with you all day. We arent going to be civil, or loving, or have sex, so, what the hell do I need to be here for? I will be at the ballpark for the game tonight" Mitch said, and bolted out the door.
Once at the casino, Mitch had a lifetime of memories race through his head. As he entered, he was welcomed by the casino heads, dealers, dice table workers. Everyone knew him, and, most everyone loved him. He was THE MAN of Paradise. He was always beset with autograph seekers, well wishers, and requests, and he tried to accomadate as many as possible. He always wanted to give the team, and himself, good PR, and yet, he wondered, if Naomi and him did indeed end up finished as a couple, what would his life be like? Would be play ball another year? Retire? Take a job with the team? A PR position at the hotel? Leave the Bahamas? All these possibilities went racing through his mind, as he gambled at the hotel. He was weary of fighting with Naomi. He always wanted to fight, for himself, his marriage, and his kids, and their family, and yet, Mitch, who many said had more stamina, and more heart, than a heavyweight fighter, who had been repeatedly knocked to the canvas, began to increasingly feel, that perhaps, it was time for his marriage to lie on the canvas, counted out, for good.
That night, Mitch arrived at the ballpark to play Washington, and said not a word to Naomi. She went out to the bullpen, as he took his practice swings for the game. The team could sense the tension between the couple, worse than ever, and that the end was perhaps coming, but yet, respectfully kept their distance, until the couple formally announced something. As for the game, it did not go well for the Good Guys. Kate Hudson gave up four runs in six innings, as Mitch struck out four times, and the team lost, 4-0. It was a bad beginning to the homestand. That night, when the couple got home, they again said not a word to each other, as they went to their seperate rooms. The following night, Mitch and Naomi still werent talking, as they went their seperate ways in the day, came to the park, suited up, and again the team played the Nationals. Gil Bellows did a fine job, giving up one run, as the team got just enough runs, in a 2-1 win. On Wednesday, deja vu followed, as Mitch and Naomi avoided each other, and played the game that night. Charlize shut out the Nats, 5-0, as other players got key hits, while Mitch was silent.
On Thursday, the couple awoke, facing counesling. Naomi, who had been virtually silent, and said hardly two words to Mitch all week, was in the kitchen, when Mitch entered:" Do you want to go to counesling, or just skip it?" Mitch said. Naomi, her face set in a somber mood, sipped her tea, and seemingly stared into space. "I dont know what I want" She said, silently, almost to herself. "Do you want me out, Naomi? Should I find another place to live, before the team goes away again next week?" Mitch asked. "Goddamnit, Mitchell, I dont know. Okay! I dont know what I want! I need to think, to fucking think, without you asking me all these damn questions! You live here. Just fucking sleep in your room, let me think, and dont fucking talk to me!" Naomi ranted. "You're deciding whether or not to dump me, aren't you?" Mitch pressed. "The thought has crossed my mind" Naomi said. "I can make it easy for you. I can move out, and file for divorce." Mitch said. "You also have it all wrong. We can be divorced, but I cant ever "dump" you. We are forever linked, because of our three beautiful adult children. We will always be part of one another. The decision is so difficult, because, as in a rage as I am with you, I still have feelings for you" Naomi said. "I'll leave you alone, and, maybe you cant, but, by the time I pack to leave next week, I would like an answer. You dont have to talk to me otherwise. I will go about my business, and you think" Mitch said. That day, Mitch went back to the casino, things in his life looking bleak and final.
On Friday night, the Phillies entered Paradise. Neve Campbell was the starter. She allowed three runs in six innings, but the team lost, 3-2. Rachel Leigh Cook took the ball on Saturday night. She, too, got hit hard, allowing four runs in seven innings, of a 4-3 loss. Kate Hudson was on the mound on a sunny Sunday, in front of a sellout. After a rough outing earlier in the week, Kate was stellar that day, allowing but one run in eight innings. The Good Guys hit four homers, including three solos, and a two run shot, backing Kate's fine effort, for a 5-1 Good Guy win.
The Reds came to town on Monday night, in the last series of the homestand. Gil Bellows started that night, and pitched a wonderful game, allowing one run in eight innings, of a 4-1 Good Guy triumph. Charlize Theron got hammered on Tuesday night, allowing six runs in five innings, in an eventual 6-5 loss. Neve Campbell took the mound on a sunny Wednesday, in front of a sellout. She wasnt at her best that day, allowing four runs in seven innings. Luckily for the Good Guys, they had their hitting shoes on, as they pounded out ten hits, seven runs, and four homers, in what would be a 7-4 Good Guy win, that completed a winning five and four homestand. The outcome of the homestand, seemed so trivial, compared to what the couple was facing. As the team prepared to head on the road, uncertainity loomed.
That night, perhaps the final chapter in the Mitch-Naomi saga was written. Mitch was sitting in his room, when Naomi entered, a piece of paper in her hand. "This is for you. A list of what you need to do, for this not to end in divorce. Any deviatation from this list, and I will see a lawyer" Naomi said, flatly. Mitch grabbed the list out of Naomi's hands, rage pouring from him. "What the hell is this? Blackmail? You're blackmailing me, you filthy, dirty bitch!" Mitch seethed. He looked at the list. Among the demands, were, that, from now on, Mitch could no longer expect cyber tickling, or to ask Naomi what she was wearing, or about her feet, while on the road. Additionally, henceforth, she stated that she intended to monitor all messages he received from new female members of the chatroom they belonged to, and, further, reserved the right to tell him, that he would have to stop messaging girls, both in email, and in the chatroom, without any prior notice, and that such condition could be permanent, or for however long she saw fit. Finally, Mitch had to agree to stop tickling girls, even his teammates, at the Saturday parties, and, merely be present as an observer. Mitch looked at the list, and then at Naomi, and back at the list. "I want to ask you just one question. Have you lost your fucking mind? Do you really think I am going to give in to blackmail, or to your fucking list, you dirty bitch!" Mitch ranted. "Those are my conditions, take them or leave them" Naomi said. Mitch held the list in the air, and then, tore it up, first in half, and then into many pieces, and threw it in Naomi's face. "I leave them, your conditions, your list, and you. You can take your conditions, your list, your demands, and your audacious expectations, and shove them straight up your bony, ugly, little ass. I am going off on my road trip, and then, when I come home, I am filing for divorce. It's over, and, you can go fuck yourself, for the rest of your miserable life, you dirty bitch!" Mitch seethed. Naomi turned face, and left the room, without a word, as Mitch sat back, and contemplated what he had just said. That night, he didnt fall assleep until 5am, as he mused how his life would be different, with what he had said. The next morning, Naomi entered his room early, and sat on the bed:" I dont want to tell anyone until you come home the next time. It isnt good. We will keep this between us. Come here, sleep that Sunday night, and, the following morning, we will break the news, and you can find a place to live. It wont be good, me being here for ten days, with all this going on" Naomi said, calmly. Mitch nodded, and turned over.
In the meantime, of so much less significance, the team held it's Saturday night tickle party. The featured lee would be a female friend of both Mitch and Naomis, from the chatroom the team belonged to. She was tied hands and feet to the bed, in the middle of the fetish club. Second baseman Russell began the tickle on her neck with fingers, as the giggles began:HEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEEHE! NO! Working down, Catcher Barney was next, tickling the friend on her underarms, sides, ribs, and belly with fingers, causing her to shriek:HEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEEHE! NOOO! Moving down,Center Fielder Ed Burns was next, tickling the friend on her hips, inner thighs, and knees with fingers, as her legs bucked:HEHEEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEEEHEHEHEEE! Finally, Mitch got to the soles of her feet, and tickled them with fingers, feathers, electric toothbrushes, and ice on her soles and toes. The friend went beserk, wiggling her toes every which way, and squealing with laughter, begging for mercy:HEHEEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHE! PLEASE NO MORE! I GIVE UP! NOOOOO! HEHEEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Finally, the tickle ended, and the friend was untied.
On Thursday, as Mitch was packed to leave for the airport, Naomi took him aside:" Please dont tell anyone on the team, until you get home. I'm not even going to tell my mum, or yours, or Nicole. I just want this kept between us, until after we break it to our children. They may all be over 18, but they dont have to hear it third hand. It will be hard enough" Naomi said. "Okay" Mitch nodded.
As Mitch sat in the cab to the airport, the finality of it all hit him. He would go off on his trip, come home, and not be with Naomi anymore. His mind raced a mile a minute. Was Naomi being unreasonable, or, did his behavior over two plus decades justify her conditions? He was angry, but, likely, it may have been a little of both. Whatever the case, unless some miracle would occur, his life when he arrived home would be very different. Until then, he had to put on a brave face, do his job, and keep his mouth shut. For certain, things would not be kind to Mitch, when he made his return to Paradise Island.

The End

Well damn, it looks like the star couple of Paradise Island is having a bit of trouble in paradise. Another great one and I look forward to the next one to see what happens.
