Basically. I mean don't be an asshole, but too many times people, and women and girls in general, put up with too much bullshit. If you're a decent person, what is your time worth? Who is worth your time? I dunno, this the kinda thing I tell my siblings sometimes. Cuz I love themmm

Exactly. There is so much that I know I can't protect her from, even if I wanted to. I've always viewed the role I play as two key parts: 1) teaching her how to protect and take care of herself, and not every counting on someone else for her protection, happiness, security, etc, and 2) teaching her, by example, how she should expect every man on earth to treat her, and to be ready to easily walk away from ANYONE, regardless of gender, authority, etc, who does not treat her the way she, and really everyone else, should be treated.

Look, I'm not about to pretend I'm some all-knowing saint. I'm driving the bus to hell, I assure you, with the mistakes I've made and sins I've committed. But doing what I can to insure Peanut has the best chance at making it out of this world with her heart and soul and mind intact is well worth my own eternal damnation.

This timely posting was also extremely helpful to one of my oldest and dearest friends, who just had to deal with a friend boy who seemed to think there was some other type of relationship going on. Not even knowing that, but knowing she's been unstoppably busy, I sent her a link to the video. It was, in her words, exactly what she needed at that moment.
