Geez, and people wonder why we don't post much about our events on this coast...
There's tens of thousands of us. It was a TINY hotel, in a small college town, and flights there were a PAIN IN THE ASS for some of us. It's the first time for a Super Bowl Gathering in years. Hadda trial run it.
I'm still surprised West Coast got an invite.
Love you guys, but that flight in January has me convinced that there'll either be a direct flight to NY next time, or I'll wave from this coast. Both directions were ass.

Mind ya, the peeps were cool. Hangin' out was fun. My lady and I dug the company, and were wishin' for more time wit' more people.
Funny part is that we weren't playin'.
We can do that at home, and do. Was there t'socialize. Hadda pause every so often to relax. Got home tired, and we barely ever left that hotel.
People, it don't matter where you are. Gather. Do it not to find the love of your life, nor your play partner. Do it to meet folks into this. Do it so you can talk about this IRL wit' folks who know, who dig, who give a damn... Seriously.
That rocked.
Hearin' Jo get worked like a rib at a BBQ and come out, hours later, gibbering, was definitely a funny one. Havin' it be an old friend doin' most the damage was funny.
Watchin' her be used as bondage for Tortuga was funny.
Slacker's ultimate zeal for the 'Bowl was excellent. Ray bettin' him just to wind him up proved we old guys are treacherous, and funny as hell.
Watchin' my lady connect wit' so many of you warmed my damned heart.
Mama B tryin' to mama the masses in motion was funny. Aincha glad yer kids don't have so many ways to move?
Watchin' HDS survive a pro wrestler pretzellin' him in demonstrations... damn, kid, you rock. I'll stand ya a round of whatever at NEST, just 'cause you survived. Two o' them moves looked rather twisty painful.
MrLegacy, yer good company. Thanks for not killin' that mod while Gumbyin' his flexible self. We enjoyed yer company repeatedly. Ya got a good woman, brother. That kid's alright, too.

Aw, jeez, this is too long. All o' you who were stuck wit' our company know we dug yours. There were only a couple of you I didn't already know, anyway.
Those of you that weren't there should consider comin' out to visit at a gathering. You don't HAVE to play. I didn't at all, this time, and won't at NEST, and I'll be there doin' what I do, with my lady, socializin' and helpin' out. Show, meet folks, and find more friends.
It's ultimately an excuse to travel the world to see friends. Friends who get it.
