You go to buy a car and no one waits on you for 2 days. Do you buy a car from there?
On the other hand the producer who contacted me
1. Talked about the idea
2. Took a draft script
3. Ran it by a model who loved it
4. Asked me for a final script
5. Gave a quote
6. Contacted the models with the final script.
7. Set a shooting date
8. Then asked for payment
9. Contacted me to let me know the shooting date may be moved up
10. Arranged to have pics sent to me with my chosen outfits

I agree. Standards of professional practice are universal. Most decent contractors aren't going to give you a quote without looking at the job at hand first. On the other hand, guys are fucking stupid and desperate. Can't blame her for trying to make as much $$$$ as possible. If her work wasn't worth paying for why are you complaining about her price? Either pay up or don't. Goddamn, I am so very fucking grateful I don't have to pay to play.

I think your expectation that she's going to act like a professional might be a little unrealistic. She's not the Apple Service Team - she's one girl, with a whole life that we know nothing about, including sick relatives, money problems, personal health issues, and whatever other things go on in people's lives.
If you want professionalism, you should call an escort service out of the yellow pages, someplace that has an 800 number and a database full of girls ready to go 24 hours a day, with a customer service line to handle your questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Was replying to you ten months later "professional?" No. Is it worth spending one second getting bent out of shape over? No.
If you can't handle the fact that her life is chaotic, as most lives are, then contact a professional service where you won't have to get involved with people's lives and personalities. That's my take and my advice.
There are nuances in human interaction that are beyond stimulus/response. Yes, they'll feel the brush. Whether they'll react in a certain way depends on how they feel about you. Not sure what that has to do with virtue or social justice.
