Have you ever been "blown away"?

I was speaking with a few friends today and we described a time where we saw someone of the opposite sex and she was so beautiful, you were completely "blown away".

Has this ever happened to others. Have you ever seen someone that you would be attracted to, look so damn freakin beautiful, it completely takes your breath away? Your mind becomes a pile of mush and you look to the Heavens and wonder how God made someone THAT beautiful?

This happened to me and i am curious if anyone else ever experienced this phenomenom.

The first time I saw David Beckham, Gale Harold, and Cristiano Ronaldo.


Non-Celebrity wise, it's only happened once. He was a goth guy, and I usually hate the goth look. This guy though... the look was MADE for him. I stared at him with my jaw on the floor for what seemed like an eternity, until he noticed me. I looked away, but when I looked at him again, he was grinning to himself, so I think he knew what was up.

This has happened to me a few times. I was on a cross country teen tour once when I was 15, and there was a girl in the tour group, who was so damn hot, she took my breath away. I even tried asking her out, but she had a boyfriend. Unlucky me.
There was another girl in high school, 6 feet tall, long black hair. Body that wouldnt quit. At that time, she was one of the "cool people", and I wasn't, so, she was unattainable.
I'm sure there have been other times, but those two memories come to mind.

There is a woman that I work with; this woman is 5'10" with flawless carmel-colored skin and a face that would launch a thousand ships. She walks like a goddess and has this deep sultry voice that would make anyone stop in their tracks. Now I'm 100% hetero, but if I weren't I'd follow her around like a puppy dog! I've never been so close to someone so beautiful.

When it comes to men, I don't take beautiful men or "pretty boys" very seriously. My first absolutely blown away experience was several years ago when during a heavily emotional conversation he just walked over to me, held me in his arms, and gave me a kiss that I will remember in eternity. It was the beginning point in a two-year relationship. I simply couldn't help myself; I was no more than putty in this man's hands for two years. We eventually moved on, but it took over a year to deal with reality and get over him. My heart had never been so swept away in my entire life.

Yes, I’ve known a guy once who was THAT beautiful.
I remember very well, the first time I saw him I couldn’t stop looking at him and I kept saying to my friend ‘How can anyone have a face like that, it’s unreal’. I’ve never seen anything as beautiful before or ever since.
Funny though, I’ve known this guy for three years, seen him quite frequently, but besides being blown away by his looks I’ve never really been attracted to him.

This has only happened to me once. A long time ago, right when I got out in High School I met this girl who did as you say "blow me away". The first time I saw her I got a hot flash, I did the pull out the collar, I took off my sweater and just watched her. When she came up and spoke to me, my throat closed up and as I made eye contact I could only look at her for a second and then my eyes went down...like something inside me said that my eyes were not worthy of her beauty ...I tried to talk but the best I could get out was my name, rank and serial number. She smiled and sat next to me saying how everyone else had stared at her "rack", but I didnt (of course she didnt know I was looking at her feet) so she decided to sit next to me. She talked and I listened, intently. Studied her lip movements, the way she moved her hair out of her eyes, the way she crossed her legs. Every movement to this day I can remember. We talked for what was in reality about 5 hours while riding the bus heading toward MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Center) in Birmingham, AL. After we got off, we made plans to have dinner and we did. It was fantastic. This girl whom Ive never met before and set my entire soul ablaze was spending time with me, someone which to that point never had a girlfriend, or even a kiss. Because of military rules, we all had seperate rooms and I was at a diffrent hotel with an earlier call time in the morning. We talked as long as we could on the phone, and when it hit midnight...I finally said goodbye as did she. Those 12 hours, from the moment I saw her, to the moment I said good-bye are etched forever in my mind.
Like the old song said.....
"You didnt have to be so nice.....I would have loved you anyway."
I never saw her again, I tried tracking her down in basic training, but it seemed she was not on a onetrack from MEPS to basics as I was, I left her a message for when she arrived....and about 2 months later as I was in tech school, I received one back from her saying simply...
"You are a sweet guy, thanks for treating me as a lady. Good Luck in life", Kimberly.
And that was the last I ever saw or heard from her.
But she blew my mind.....and I still even have that note she sent me.

Sorry about my trip down memory lane...a little long I know, but I hope it helps someone.
If I ever get that feeling again....Ill do the best I can to keep her around. Ive never had that feeling since that day...even with the woman I married and now being divorced from I never had that feeling...and I really hope I do.

The first time it ever happened it was a girl I went to college with, Alice Goldberg. I tried, but never got anywhere with her; I was too uncouth. Well, she had good taste as well as good looks.
I think I used up my lifetime supply of good luck when I actually got to date and have a four year relationship with one of those, a stunning beauty named Sharon Engert. We're still friends.
Ah, feminine beauty. Proof of God's existance.(Or Godess'!)

In my day, it was known as AFEES. Armed Forces Examination and Entry Station.

I meet someone like this every so often. I have a list that I keep in my wallet, a silly, innocuous list called the Top 25...the most beautiful women I've ever met in my life. Once in a while, when I'm terribly bored, I pull it out, and mull over if I've met anyone recently who meets the criteria for being on the list. I haven't added anyone in quite some time.

If all of these women have a common thread, it's that they had some kind of personal radiance, a magic, that set them apart from the rest of the human race. My first girlfriend's on the list, from back when I was twelve. First time I ever met her, all I could see was the sparkle in her eyes and her long, flowing amber hair, and I was truly mesmerized. My first love from high school's here, too, but nowadays, memories of her stunning visual goddessness intermingle with her prodigious emotional baggage...oh, well.

There's one I don't really like thinking about. Someone I met at my last job. Here was the crossroads staring me straight in the eye, and it messed my head up for a time...and while I was a good boy, it was somewhat maddening. She really, really liked me, but was very frustrated by the ring on my finger. This was literally another woman I could easily have shared the rest of my life with, and very happily. If I never had met my wife, I'd be married to her right now, without a doubt, and instead of my in-law family being of an Italian background, I'd be with Puerto Ricans. Of course, this would've given everyone in my family a fucking coronary.

I don't think about her often, when she comes to mind, I gingerly remove her. There's no point.

It's nice to think that someone you meet could have so much magnetism, and so much power. If I were you, Primetime, I'd sit back and enjoy it. It's really a beautiful thing.

And if, God willing, something comes of this for you, I'm sooooo on your side, and I'm sitting in the roller coaster next to you...

when i first met Cloudslave so many years ago...i was dating a girl a friend of mine set me up with. i met Cloudslave the same day i met the "date". lemme tell ya...CS took up room in my mind and paid rent, too. i talked to her more than the gf, and when the gf got just a bit too abusive for my taste, i dumped her and, a few weeks later, became CS's boyfriend. who knew we'd get engaged...
i have seen many other girls before her that just...just made me weak in the knees. one of them was in my theater class in high school. brunette, green eyes, trim and petitie, with a killer smile and legs that made me go "RAWR!". when i got to know her, i was floored by her personality and, though she was totally out of my league (i was a hardcore goth then, and she was all Ambercrombie), i wanted to ask her out. sadly, on the day i collected my balls and spine to do so, i was expelled from school (i did a bad, stupid thing)...never saw her again after that.
