Claire decided to check to see if her limbs will grow back. She took a pair of scissors and cut off her pinky toe. (very sexy feet I must say).
 
only problem i had with that scene was that there would have been SCREAMING!!! unless the writers also included high pain tolerance to her powers, no one could have taken amputation with shears so easily.
