I saw it last night with Fireguardian. It is a good movie, but I have to say I was gritting my teeth and scowling through more than half of it, because human trafficking is something far too real and far too frequent these days.
This movie was kind of an oddball. It was made over a year ago, but then released all over the world. Its LAST place to open was in North America. How odd is that?
At least it dethroned Mall Cop in the top slot.
I loved it. There are holes in it for those who love to find every fault in a movie. But it is a non stop ass kicking romp, and a fun movie. I've had an early version of it I gave to Jo this weekend, but I'll pick it up when it comes out on Blu-ray
This was definitely a surprise for me. The trailer really didn't do this one justice. I had gone into this thinking it would be some cheesy suspense flick, but it ended up being a "Liam Neeson kicking serious ass" flick.
Liam is indeed underrated in his ass-kicking street cred.
1. He was Darkman
2. He was a Jedi and trained Obi-Wan Kenobi
3. He trained Batman
4. He now busts human trafficers

That does it for me!
I absolutely LOVE Liam Neeson! He does an amazing job in every movie I have seen. I thought the movie was great but also depressing since it is an actual issue. The basic plot isn't hard to believe since that is something that does happen. If only more people were lucky enough to get out.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints. The sinners are much more fun YET IN LOVE, WE WILL TAKE YOU,
AND IN RAPTURE, WE'LL BREAK YOU
