THE ALPHABET SCHOOL/COLLEGE THREAD.

On many college campuses the Administration Building is called Old Main.
 
Many colleges have a requirement to take a year of a natural science laboratory course, meaning biology, chemistry, or physics.
 
I can remember the superintendent stopping in to observe how a teacher was doing.
 
Many parents came to PTA meetings when I was in elementary school to discuss our progress with our teachers.
 
Some grades on your report card had a "U" or "S" the "U" meaning unsatisfactory.
 
The janitor in my elementary school owned no car and commuted to work on his bicycle.
