Duke University Student Who Starred in Porn to Pay for School

I didn't expect today to happen.

My decision to do porn to pay for college was a private one I made, and then I was outed to my university classmates by another Duke student who had seen me on the Internet a few months ago. After promising me he would respect my privacy, he proceeded to reveal who I was to the entire Greek system, which is when all of this controversy first began. I started to be harassed. He started to be applauded.

Thoughts?

Well: if someone takes the decision to be on porn, he must be prepared for the fact that people may recognize him. Generally speaking I really don't think that porn actors deserve that kind of hate and discrimination they get: they're just doing their job, but unfortunately it's generally what happens. I find it rather sad that along the shameful feelings they have to go through they even get all that hate.

I like her. She has a 'Come shut me up if you think you can' attitude I find very agreeable. I would suggest she get a CHL, a nice little semi-automatic, and go about her business. What she is doing is her business, and hers alone. I mean, yes, it's porn, but so the fuck what? She pays her tuition, is passing her classes, and isn't doing anything illegal on or near campus.....so the school really doesn't have any grounds to do much of anything. And as for the students.....well, a bullet to the knee changes the mind of most would-be assailants. As for the cyber crap, I'm sure there are rules in place if actual students are found to be behind some of these attacks. And with the bad press Duke has been getting for the last 6 years, I have no doubt that they will act if and when they get the chance.

I kind of had the sane thing happen to me, but thankfully I went to an extremely liberal college and wasn't getting threats.

My male homosexual ex-best friend of seven years and I had ended our relationship the end of junior year. The summer of junior into senior was when I took the plunge and started playing. Then during my senior year I decided to get into fetish modeling. I joined Model Mayhem and got approved. Then found out through a rude comment that a chick who was rooming with ex-best friend had decided to go into modeling and her Model Mayhem profile was approved a week after mine was. I am positive they told the whole conservatory. People kept looking at me differently and I'd always see people whispering in front of me whenever I got near. This was when my fuck everybody attitude came into the play. My mantra now is, "Like me, great! Don't like me, fuck off and don't start any shit!" I know some of you are thinking well fetish isn't as bad as porn, but to most vanillas they equate the two as the same in level of awfulness.

Oh and the ex-best friend every so many years tries to contact me to chat, but I ignore him. I can't help, but feel he is going crazy because he can't get the latest dirty on Rose Holland(My Fet model name).

It's a job. I mean, there are people who do stuff like shoveling elephant shit for a living, you do what you have to. There's certainly a negative social stigma surrounding it, but you get that with a lot of jobs/hobbies nowadays, and as long as it's not harmful or illegal, I don't see a problem.

What "Lauren" is doing for money is no different from anything else a college student might do for money, except that this probably pays a bit better than most jobs a college student might end up with (i.e. waitressing, Wal-Mart, etc.). And I've been led to understand that sex work is not an uncommon occupation for college students.
