Watched a video of Rene Phoenix. For those of you who don't know her, a picture is uploaded.

Prompted me to research her more and found her twitter account. Her last tweets are from a year ago, in which she claims to be quitting as a fetish model/prod, while leaving behind a flurry of accusations and rants about other models/prod. In one of her tweets she also claims to have been threatened and sued.

Can anyone with knowledge or insight on the situation explain what transpired there...and did she really quit?

Don't know anything about the situation but it's been about a year since I've seen her in a new video and she had 2 profiles on Fetlife, one has been deleted and the other deactivated. So it looks like she really quit. Sad, she had some good stuff.

That's sad. But also, those tweets are really nasty and mean-spirited. I definitely don't know the whole situation, so I perhaps if she truly was threatened this would be slightly more understandable - however, I can hardly believe she doesn't see the irony of a fetish model calling other people "whores" as if sex work is shameful.

I have personally always felt a fetish model is a type of porn model, but I disagree with the part, "As well as traditional sex porn" not all fetish models engage in traditional sex porn. Some only do G/G, some only allow vibes, some only do solo masturbation, and some don't do any form of traditional porn at all. Hell some fetish models refuse to get naked. As for any insight I don't really have any. Meh models in this industry come and go all the time. I also have come to the conclusion that most of them have varying degrees of craziness.

Borderline crazy? She's a fucking basket case! And yeah I agree with you. I have 2 videos of her and Taylor and one of her and Alexis Grace and all those videos are pretty good. Sad we'll never see that again. And from what is written in the tweets it sounds like several different people were against her. She says they're lies but usually when there are that many people against you there's some truth to it. But to be fair I don't have all the details so it's hard to say.
