computer problems

Today I will not harp on problems, but just wish everybody a Merry Christmas. :xmas:
 
Now that Christmas is over, it is time to think about New Year's resolutions. :D
 
To return to the original topic of this thread:

I had a computer problem this morning, a loud humming noise upon turning on my laptop. It turned out to need a new fan. The fan was only $40, but the labor to install the fan was $112.50. :eek:

Oh well, at least my laptop is working quietly again. :D :p

Glad its working again. :thumbsup: Luckily fan are fairly easy to repair.

Yes, it should be simple to replace a fan. The $112.50 that they charged for labor is a claim that it took them 90 minutes to replace the fan. I doubt it, but they do have to pay the rent on a storefront just off Columbus Avenue (a gentrified location).

The labor charges for computer stuff are as bad as for plumbers and tv repair guys. just insane.
