What got you into tickling

I know everybody has there own reasons for why tickling is so much fun for them but what got everybody into tickling/tickle torture? What attracted it to you? How did it happen?
 
I'm not exactly sure what attracted me to it. As a child, I was terrified of being tickled. However, at the same time I was fascinated by it. Then around puberty I started craving it, or at least wanted to tickle males. Now I'm like 70% lee, lmao.

I think the overall weirdness of tickling is appealing to me. Also, Chicago once suggested that tickling could be a safer, less-intimidating form of intimacy for me which I pretty much agree with.
 
The "Wagon Heels" episode of Looney Tunes. Where Injun Joe gets tickled all over and then a severe foot tickling. I saw that at 6. From their it would pop up in other cartoons and movies. Then seeing the definition in the dictionary.
 
Olive Oyl, damn her. lol. I was around 5 or so, watching the old cartoon on tv.
 
i've heard this question asked a lot either directly to me by other TMF'ers, or threads that have been created a few times in the Tickling Discussion....for me, it was when i was a wee child of 5 or 6 and i saw this record cover album. i remember sitting there and staring at it. i don't remember what exactly i was thinking (or the music for that matter), but that image triggered the ticklephile in me and i've been hooked ever since. i've always kept it my biggest secret though.

For me, I don't have a eureka moment. Loved it as a child... after puberty, loved it more. Now, when did I get serious about it? Not until my 20s - when the internet was new and things were revealed.

I'm like many of the others, have been into tickling since 5 or so when most of my memories start, not sure why I like it. I still remember being caught by my mom in one of those pajamas with the white feeties having taken it half off and been tickling myself saying tickle tickle tickle experimenting LOL. Oddly enough I prefer tickling others :)
 
For me, it wasn't any one moment. It was more of a gradual process of self-discovery. I knew I liked feet (especially feet in nylons) at a very early age (between 4 and 5), but my feelings about tickling were really mixed up. I wasn't very ticklish myself, so I don't have memories of being tickled by friends or relatives. But whenever I saw others tickled or heard people talk about tickling or when I read about tickling, I got this funny feeling and I just couldn't pull myself away from it. It fascinated me in a very odd way.

The first thing that comes to mind is a Sesame Street book some of you may be familiar with: Grover and The Everything In The Whole Wide World Museum. If you're familiar with this book, at the very end Grover enters "The Things That Can Tickle You Room". Where of course, Grover is tickled by all kinds of things. As soon as I read this, it just stuck in my head. There was something about it that affected me on a very deep level. Being 5 or so, I didn't know how to describe what I felt when I saw it, but I felt a little embarrassed about it.

Many years later, I was in my high school marching band, and one day we were on our way to a competition. We had been traveling for maybe 20 minutes or so when I became aware of someone laughing softly. I managed to turn around a little in my seat, where I saw one of the color guard girls holding her foot across the aisle. Another member of the color guard had her foot in her lap, and was gently tickling it. I could hear her quietly saying "Stop!" as she laughed. The tickling continued all the way to the high school that was hosting the competition. It was what I would call an "exploratory" tickling. The girl tickling her was trying various technique with her fingers, and was obviously enjoying the other girl's ticklishness. I wasn't really attracted to her, but I was fascinated by the whole scene and it awakened something in me.

From that point on, if I was attracted to a girl, I wanted to tickle her. But I still didn't understand it as being a fetish, since I had never heard of a tickling fetish. I remember telling my college girlfriend that I wanted to tie her up and tickle her, but I didn't know anything about bondage or things like that. All of this made me feel really confused and weird. I knew this was something sexual but I didn't know how to explain it to myself or to anyone else. It wasn't until I got my first internet account in 1996 that I discovered that there were others like me, and I could finally understand that I had a tickling fetish to go along with my foot fetish.

It's taken me a long time to understand and accept my fetishes, but I have no regrets about them and I would never try to rid myself of them. I'm always happy to hear how others have come to terms with their fetishes, and I'm glad there are places like this out there for us.

Are you referring to the ghost ship episode where the cats are licking her feet or the one where she falls off the steel girder and Bluto peels off the bottom of her shoe and tickles her foot? Both great cartoon tickle scenes IMO.

I can't point to any one event, just have been into it for as long as I can remember (literally). But I do recall looking up the definition in the dictionary and getting that feeling... good call on that one Dolly.

And Darknight, if you do get that clone machine up and running, and happen to clone CapturedDoll, put me down for one, or six, lol.

I think I saw the Bluto one where he removes the sole of her shoe to tickle torture her. Her reactions is what got me, she fought for it to not tickle and then went nuts... back and forth. I saw the cats licking sometime later.

LOL.. I'll write you down for six CapturedDoll clones.

I think my tickling kink started when I was about six or seven, even though I didn't realize it at the time. My friends and family would absolutely torture me. I'm... well, I'm pretty ticklish so of course I was going to get it bad. I'd always do cunty little things to annoy people into pouncing on me. If that didn't work I'd simply ask to be tickled. Nobody ever said "no" to that request. I was also a notorious "tickle monster," as well. Moreso than I am now at least. I was always deeply fascinated and excited when I'd see tickling in cartoons, movies, comics, etc.

My earliest memory of realizing I had an above-average interest in the subject came to me when I started reading R.L. Stine books in elementary school. I'd read tickle scenes over, and over, and over. And his books had quite a few such scenes. One book was about a couple of friends who get abducted and eventually tickled to death by aliens, if I remember correctly. In another, a guy had to defeat a monster by tickling her/it's feet. There was a catch though; apparently he couldn't actually defeat it. He had to keep tickling it or else it would kill him. I always felt sheepish, like I was "doing something wrong" because I enjoyed it. The Where's Waldo books are also pretty saturated with tickling. I loved reading those. Hell, I still do!

It was a terribly cold,wet, stormy fortnight in 1998 when ol' pops decided to connect to the internet when things really, really changed. I was only nine or ten at the time. I would search for anything and everything I possibly could (except for porn, honestly!), when one night I searched Lycos or AskJeeves for "tickling." Pandora's box had been opened. I found Wryel's Wrealm and Swtickle. Swtickle was a gold mine, I couldn't believe it at the time. Wryel's Wrealm was my favorite, but those were the dark, unrelenting days of dial-up, and it took for-fucking-ever to view anything there. But eh, yeah. That's about the time I finally made the connection.
 
Yes, it's amazing to think about how many of us were led down this path because of cartoons...

I just know that when a tickling scene came on I would get all weak and panicky, and this would quickly pass when it was over.
 
Mine started when I started dating Iggy092 a year ago. He's the one that showed me this world. Lol though I think he regrets it now, cause I seem to be tickling him all the time.

Interesting, I recall a time in primary school where a girl wearing tights was sat down on a stage somewhere. I think we may have been rehersing for a play perhaps? I can't recall. But what I do remember is that one of the boys who was sat next to this girl kept tickling her knees. She didn't laugh out loud but squirmed and laughed quietly. Suffice to say it got my attention.
