Sounds of the 50s.

It's Saturday night, and I just got paid.....

Little Richard: Rip It Up

Little Richard: Slippin' And Slidin'

Little Richard: Miss Ann

Little Richard: Ready Teddy

I was browsing around YouTube and stumbled upon the audio of an album by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong from 1956.

Unpopular opinion: I don't really like Louis Anderson's singing voice, (but of course I understand he is a legend whether I like him or not lol) but I found this album kinda comforting in a way. Sorta eases your mind a lil, if you enjoy this type of music, that is.

Tex Williams - "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! (That Cigarette)" (1947)

I know it's not the 50's, but it's close and I couldn't find if we had a thread for music earlier that that If you find it though, please let me know!

Now, I'm a feller with a heart of gold
With the ways of a gentleman I've been told
The kind of a feller that wouldn't even harm a flea
But if me and a certain character met
The guy that invented the cigarette
I'd murder that son of a gun in the first degree

Now, it ain't cause I don't smoke myself
And I don't reckon they hinder your health
I've smoked 'em all my life and I ain't dead yet

But nicotine slaves are all the same
At a pheasant party or a poker game
Everything's gotta stop while they have that cigarette

lolol
